View Full Details of St Michael's Church Pre-school & NurserySt Michael's Church Pre-school & Nursery is simply a fantastic setting in all ways. The staff have a passion for children, which shines through in their engagement, child development reflections, and the activities planned. The preschool is particularly unique, where children have very large groups to play and run and are taken out on day trips. Every day, my two children run in with big smiles, which say it all really!
The nursery and preschool offer a caring and supportive atmosphere for children. The staff really seem to care how the children are developing and are excited when new skills are learnt. There are lots of activities for the children to join in, and the outdoor space is fantastic. I feel supported as a parent and know my children are in safe hands.
My child started not long after their 2nd birthday. Since starting, their confidence has come on leaps and bounds. They are happy to go to the nursery and happy to come home every day (full of Rosie cheeks, smiles and messy clothes, which is the sign of a happy, contented child). I have noticed improvements in their speech, and we are working closely with their keyworker. I’m happy to go off to work, leaving my child in the care of the nursery staff.
Both of my children have attended St Michael's Church Pre-school & Nursery, and we have always been so happy with the care they have provided. The staff are all extremely caring and have remained consistent throughout our experience at the nursery (which is important for young children).
I couldn’t recommend St Michael's Church Pre-school & Nursery enough! My 2nd child is currently in preschool, and they are just as lovely as the time my 1st child went there three years ago. Nothing is too much trouble; it’s easy to make contact with them, and it feels like they really care and know your child. Every member of the team there is such a joy. Thank you, everyone; you make daily life so much easier.
We've been part of the nursery family for six years. My youngest leaves this summer, and honestly, they are part of our family! We're going to miss them so much! The nursery is supportive, kind and caring, and the staff retention is amazing! Would recommend it to anyone!
I have had at least one child at St Michael's since September 2018. I cannot rate them highly enough; they are a second family to us and have supported us through Covid, school settling, new siblings etc. The children are predominately divided up into three rooms baby, caterpillar and pre-school, but they all interact, and all the staff know the children. The staff are really friendly, open to being talked to and adapt to children's preferences/abilities and suggestions made by the parents. We have regular parents forum to bring ideas to the nursery and support its development. The kids enjoy some small outings to the train station and enjoy having living eggs. When we had SEN concerns, immediately, the nursery supported us in contacting professional advice lines for further information, and when required, a plan had been drawn up and a meeting arranged. When we had a new sibling and difficulty, they provided games/dolls to help settle our son and support him through the change.
