View Full Details of Strode College Day NurseryMy daughter absolutely loves preschool. There are so many different activities that she is excited to go to preschool for. It is lovely seeing all of the photos on the app as it is clear that she has a ball. She has really developed socially since going to Strode and we are really thankful for their ongoing support.
Our daughter has attended Strode College Day Nursery for around a year and a half now and we couldn't be happier. She is always happy to go and talks fondly of all the staff. We love how they are led by the children's interests and the wide range of activities they do. It's great seeing what they get up to on social media and the app. It's a small nursery, enabling each child to get to know everyone and feels very personal and homely.
From the first moment of visiting Strode College Day Nursery, we knew it was a place full of love and warmth with a homely feel. They are always up to so many different activities from regular swimming lessons to litter picking and then seasonal days out too. Our daughter has a fantastic time during her four days a week here, we are very grateful she is well looked after and she comes home with lots of happy stories to tell.
My son loves attending here. They always go the extra mile organising extra activities, such as swimming, rugby tots, PE, Forest school, etc. The team always take extra time to explain what your little one has been up to during the day.
I moved my daughter to the nursery when she was two in 2023, I was quite anxious about how she would transition to a new environment after being in another nursery but the staff were instrumental in her settling so quickly. My daughter is thriving at the nursery, staff go above and beyond and are truly child-led. She has experienced so many opportunties to extend her learning and develoment and I am so impressed with the educational provision at the nursery. The small setting means my daughter is receiving so much individualised support and care and I feel confident that all the staff know my child and how to meet her needs. The atmosphere in the nursery is friendly and inclusive, the staff foster a culture of kindness. The staff also plan lots of opportunties that challange my child and encourage her independence including getting the bus, rugby and swimming but within a supportive and safe environment. My daughter loves going to Strode Nursery, she is happy and safe.
My daughter was born in India and after we relocated to England. When she was two years we took her to one of the ones that were open, but she showed no interest in going there at all. Furthermore, we weren't happy with the lessons or activities. Then we discovered Strode Nursery. Thus, she began the nursery and she adored the place so much that I'm not sure what magic happened. I cannot express how much I appreciate the staff's care and instruction. Since she does not speak English, I am aware that it was challenging for the teachers. They therefore trained her in sign language and even used books in our mother tongue. She is now speaking in simple sentences and has learned a lot of English vocabulary. In addition, she started requesting that I go to the nursery every day as she can't wait to go to nursery. The Strode crew is outstanding, and I have told many of our friends who have relocated to England from India about Strode Nursery. Fantastic job, Strode team.
Strode College Day Nursery is a really wonderful setting, and our son enjoys his time there each and every week. As a COVID baby, his initial socialisation was lacking in several key areas and we were keen to do anything and everything we could to improve this. Since he's been attending regular sessions, he's gone from strength to strength and we've seen huge leaps in his social and verbal skills alike. As parents, we are welcome to call at any point to check on him, and this has been particularly useful during (the very few) days that he's been less keen to go. The key workers are so helpful and forthcoming with any and all updates, especially via the portal. We love the fact that the days and activities are fairly spontaneous and always child-centric, giving him some much-needed control and independence during his time there. Our son will be attending Strode nearly full-time for his pre-school year, and we are so excited to see him continue to thrive and develop on his journey with them!
Our son has recently started attending this nursery, having been booked in since he was around 7 months old! I visited many local nurseries and loved Strode and knew it was the nursery for our son. The staff are all lovely and I love the setting’s ethos and child-led approach. I also love the fact that it’s a small setting as this really suits our son. All of the staff have been very supportive in settling our son into nursery and also very accommodating in terms of supporting us with his start and sharing information. Thank you to all of the team - we look forward to the rest of our family’s journey with you over the next couple of years!
My son started here in September 2023 and to begin with he was quite anxious about attending nursery but he has really settled and grown in confidence, all thanks to the lovely team who work there. The setting is smaller than most local nurseries so you feel like your child really gets focused attention from the team and the care seems very pastoral. I can tell from the interactions I've seen of my son with the team that he is well-bonded with them and feels comfortable and safe, which has really boosted my confidence about him being there as well. The setting provides child-led play and I feel this has really helped him develop his imagination and speech over the last few months. He always comes home animated from his day and tells me he had lots of fun. The team provide you with a breakdown of how the day went when you collect your kid which is great, the whole team all seem very caring and kind, just the sort of people you would want to be looking after your children.
My daughter goes to this nursery and she loves going. She comes home every day happy. The staff are amazing with the children and use the children’s interests to learn rather than making decisions for them. They also have so many extra activities, my daughter loves going swimming. I highly recommend this nursery.
We couldn’t be more happy about the level of service Strode College Day Nursery provides for my daughter. She absolutely loves it here. The communication we receive as parents is brilliant and they continue to support and encourage my daughter in her learning and social skills. I cannot recommend them enough to other parents. Thank you Strode staff!
Overall an amazing nursery, has helped my daughter in more ways than one with her learning and growth. Friendly and approachable staff and my daughter is always happy going in and coming out. Couldn’t have asked for a better place for my daughter to grow in her confidence and prep her for big school.
My son loves his time at nursery. He enjoys the variety of activities he is able to take part in during the day. He especially enjoys the outdoor space, mud kitchen and regular trips on the bus to forest school in finer weather. There is a lot of thought that goes into the children’s day, with trips to the park, walks around the college campus interacting with pupils, swimming, PE and rugby tots to name just a few. But the most important thing is the amount of love and care that my son receives from all of the staff, they are so attentive and nurturing. I leave him knowing he is happy.
The best nursery I could possibly ever think about sending my daughter to. She has been to other nurseries and just didn’t settle however she settled immediately at Strode. You’re constantly kept up to date on what the children are doing day to day and the fun things they get up to. My daughter can’t stop talking about her day once she’s got home. Strode offers a wide variety of opportunities for the children to attend places like forest school and other activities which I think is amazing. All the staff are absolutely lovely and brilliant at what they do. My son is already booked to attend Strode when he turns 2 as I wouldn’t want him to go anywhere else. Highly highly recommended.
My boy attends three days a week. I couldn't be happier with how he has settled in. He gets excited to go and asks when is it a nursery day! He happily talks about his time at nursery and tells me about his day on returning home. A small setting allows the bonds between staff, children and their families and this helps children to settle into nursery. My boy has definitely come out of his shell since attending and his confidence is growing. Staff are always happy to answer any questions that you might have. Wouldn't want my boy to go anywhere else now.
This nursery is brilliant. The staff are all lovely, and my son really enjoys going. He gets so excited to go. The staff go out of their way to make fun activities for the children and can really tell how much they care. I believe my son has a bond with every staff member there - he speaks highly of them all. They even help with things at home such as potty training or behaviour. They are considerate of other family members. I cannot fault them.
My little boy absolutely loves his time at nursery, always so happy telling me what he has been learning. The staff are so caring, kind and friendly. Each day involves different activities, even swimming, which has really helped my little boy develop in many areas.
Our son first joined Strode Nursery in September 2021. He was a lockdown child, and I was very anxious for him to go to someone who wasn't me. Strode staff were absolutely wonderful and kept in touch with me during those first initial months. I could phone them at any time and ask how he was getting on. My son's confidence has grown and grown because of all the wonderful staff, activities and fun days he has. Strode offers more than what we could have hoped for; they do lots of trips, they go swimming weekly, forest school and many charity events, to name a few. I can see what my son does and get sent photos through the app, which I love reading and seeing. The nursery staff really helped us as a family when it came to toilet training and couldn't have been more supportive. I would highly recommend Strode Nursery to anyone. The staff are truly wonderful and help each child flourish. My son comes home very happy every day. I hope my second son will attend here in the next couple of years.
My son went here for two years, and he absolutely loved it, as did we. His speaking came on so well, and he began to communicate with us so much better. He always looked forward to going to the nursery to see his friends and see the nursery staff. The staff are absolutely fantastic - nothing is ever too much trouble; they are always happy to help and continue to communicate with you to see if your child's interest has changed and what things he is enjoying at home. This nursery offered so much for him to do; there were trips out on the bus, walks around the campus and even bring in activities that your child is really enjoying. I'm really looking forward to my daughter starting in September. I really would not have sent her anywhere else, and I'm excited to see her develop and embrace all the fun and excitement that my son had previously experienced. When it was time for my son to start school, thanks to Strode College Nursery and their amazing staff, he was absolutely ready.
Great little nursery! My son started in January 2022, and our experience has been fantastic. The activities and trips that they have had have a brilliant boost to the already packed schedule. They've also introduced swimming once a week, which is great. All of the staff are very kind, caring and accommodating. I've previously used this nursery with my other two children, one being during Covid, which meant they missed out on a lot of experiences. I have to say the nursery is currently the best it's been, and the management has vastly improved. I've also had help with potty training as well as help through ADPR and referral for speech and language delays, which they have acted upon very quickly. They provide healthy snacks every day and have the option of hot meals at lunchtime, which is great with such a small setting. The obvious perks from have a smaller setting is the care and attention each child receives, which is also great to see all the staff interacting with each child.
