My 8 month old daughter has just started here and I was scared to leave her but the staff have been so welcoming and supportive and kind to her which has helped me massively with going back to work. I fully appreciate and support all the staff.

My child has been attending this nursery for nearly 2 yrs.Initially prior to the old station taking over I was impressed by the family feel, outdoor space & activities the children were participating in and i felt secure knowing the majority of staff there had been there for the majority of their whole careers. Unfortunately in the last year I have seen a huge decline in activities being set for my child who is due to start school in Sept. There have been little to none outdoor activities/trips or even visitors coming into the nursery to aid learning and interest. staff turnover has been shocking (currently standing at 15 members leaving in 1 year or less) & basically in my opinion it is down to poor leadership and management. I have maybe said hello to the new manager approx 2 times in the space of 6 months & my child wouldn't know who she was. The app updates & communication have been very inconsistent & sadly I wouldn't recommend this nursery. The recent ofsted is also very telling.

Our son had delayed speech being a Covid 19 pandemic baby. Four particular members of staff and the whole team have welcomed our son and looked after him well, he has thrived and grown confident. I cannot commend this place enough. A truly hidden gem!

We are thrilled with the nursery and bay room team. The care and thought they put into everything is wonderful and the app updates make us smile knowing my child is enjoying their time here so much. My son is so excited during morning drop-off and understands the consistent routine offered here. They understand my son's individual needs and wants and get his personality and humour.

This is a brilliant nursery, very caring and really care for our daughter. We know how well she is looked after and all the staff members know her and we don't worry at all about her learning, having fun and enjoying it. We will send future children here and really like the smaller feel. The staff are brilliant and our daughter knows them all by name and comes home very happy.

My son recently moved to The Old Station Nursery and we love it. He is always happy to attend and has developed really well. The staff and facilities are fantastic. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks.

Great use of the app to keep updated on daily activities accompanied with pictures. My child loves the activities, especially bubbles during water play.

Excellent small nursery where staff are personable and well-invested in the development of our child. Two staff members in particular are fantastic in the baby room. Always happy and friendly.

I couldn’t recommend The Old Station Nursery enough, being a very anxious first-time mom, I felt very supported throughout our transition. Contact and updates have been great. I’ve always felt able to speak to staff about any concerns I have had. It’s a lovely homely environment with genuine, child-centred staff and a great outdoor space. My son is coming on leaps and bounds here. He takes part in a variety of creative activities and is well cared for. Thank you to all the wonderful staff in the baby room for helping my son settle in so well!

I'm very grateful to the manager and the team for being amazing. The staff have taken great care of my son. He has settled in very nicely. There is a great deal of individual attention that they provide, and I would grade them second to none. He was going to a very renowned private school nursery before, but I'm very happy that we've taken him out and put him in The Old Station Nursery. Thank you.

Lovely nursery. My son started in September, and he come along so much, he also loves going. Would defo recommend. Their outside space is really good too, with lots of space for the kids to run around. The care for kids is really great too.

My son is thriving at Old Station Nursery. He is settled and socialised with his peers who he often talks about at home along with naming the staff. He is happy on arrival and pick-ups especially when he is in the garden playing with the toys/equipment (usually found on bikes/trikes/scooters. All staff are kind and friendly on approach, always smiling and engaging with children (often seen singing, dancing, serving snacks). My son particularly enjoys all the different play/creative activities - dressing up, arts and crafts, water play, and garden activities and it is lovely to see all the local area trips to parks, ponds, train and fire stations via photos on the parent app. He is on track with his learning and development which is monitored and recorded through the app. He sleeps and eats well at the nursery, in a good routine so I would recommend the nursery to any future child.

Good nursery, friendly staff, a good choice of food, and plenty of interactive activities for children. Management is very well structured and informative. The app is very good as it allows you to see what your child has been up to throughout the day, however, it is not always updated regulary.

Really great staff never had any issues or concerns. My son enjoys going to nursery and is always happy. Staff are welcoming, pleasant and are quite engaging. My son is developing nicely and confidently.

A lovely nursery with a caring team of employees and managers. My daughter has enjoyed her time at the nursery with the many daily activities whether on site with members of the nursery team, or staff brought in for dance and football sessions, or off site with visits to the fire station, train station and library to name a few. Lots of focus on development and socialising with peers. A great all round experience topped off with the lovely cook who spoils the children with her culinary creations, and the most caring and thoughtful manager, who really wants the best for the children at the nursery. The classes are small which I preferred, as it was less daunting for my daughter and I felt she had a better nursery experience because of it. Well done nursery!

My kid is so happy here and the staff are quite literally the loveliest people. Dropping your baby off (especially when they can’t talk) for the whole day is so stressful and anxiety provoking but here I can get on with my day knowing she’s happy and busy and snacking (her favourite) all day. I come to pick her up and she is beaming every time.
