View Full Details of Corner House Nursery StirlingWe have just started at the nursery and have been really happy with the overall experience. The staff are great and obviously take great care in their roles. I'm confident in the knowledge that my child is well looked after and kept busy while I transition back to working.
My son loves his time at nursery - he has a great bond with the staff and has made lots of friends. The facilities are good, very spacious rooms with a good range of activities each with their own garden access. There seems to be a good range of activities and learning opportunities. There are some excellent staff working in the rooms (we've experienced the toddler room and 3-5 room) they are friendly I feel they genuinely care about my son. I would like to have a bit more regular and personalised updates about what my son is up to (beyond the handover at the end of each day), a nursery we were at previously had a good app so we got photos morning and afternoon each day, details on what had been eaten, details of nappy changes etc and there was a messaging function to communicate directly with the staff in the room. Something like this would really add value.
Hi, a warning note to all parents. Please review and pay attention to the Care Inspectorate complaint. The staff and management of the Cornerhouse Nursery in Stirling treated our son who has additional support needs very badly. We'd warn against anyone sending their children here. The problem is this nursery is the only one with any spaces in the Stirling area - this is for a reason as it is badly run. Don't send your children here.
A huge improvement over the past few months! Happy staff, children and parents. My little girl goes to the nursery and has done so for nearly three years. The new boogy beats class is a huge hit and she loves this! A hit for us parents as well as it’s not an additional cost.
My little one has been at Corner House for four months now and is enjoying his time here. The staff and management are so friendly and open. I was really impressed with the settling in process as it was tailored to my son. The staff were very quick to get to know his likes and dislikes. I enjoy the variety of the lunch menu and it has helped to encourage my son to eat more veg. The staff are so approachable and clearly care for the children. The management are open to feedback and are always looking for ways to improve the nursery.
Great nursery that’s recently been upgraded. Staff clearly enjoy their work and have a real bond with their kids. I have no hesitations leaving my child there. They are well cared and provided for and get to go outside for fresh air every day and regularly go on walks/excursions in the local area.
Little one has been with nursery for over a year, joined during the pandemic so been really difficult with having a true understanding of how little one gets on at nursery. Think it would be a great idea to get parents in the nursery who didn’t get a chance and also update the online logs on a regular basis so parents can see how little ones are getting on.
I am so happy with Corner House Nursery. My son was in another nursery previously and I can safely say that Corner House is significantly better! When he moved to this nursery they really took the time to ask lots of questions and get to know him before he started his regular days. The staff are really friendly and my son clearly has a great time with them. They do lots of activities and the team are good at filling me in on what he has been up to during the day (this is not always the case with other nurseries). They also get really healthy food (including vegetarian) and the menu changes regularly. I cannot recommend this nursery enough!
My eldest boy attended Corner House Nursery in Stirling for four years and loved his time there. He always went into nursery happy and got very attached to all the staff there. My youngest boy is now at the nursery and has settled in so well. The girls in his room are so good with him and on his first day, I had no worries just knowing he was going to be in safe hands. Everyone is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend.
Corner House Nursery is fantastic because of the care and attention of all the staff. With two children currently attending, we have experienced every room, from babies to pre-school, and the same level of warmth, openness and love has been found in each room. Staff are always on hand to help, great app set up for updates on your child’s progress/easy invoice payments, and brilliant location. Our kids love it here.
Everyone at the nursery works hard to make you feel your child is important to them. My daughter loves going to nursery and has done since she was just 9-months-old. She is always disappointed when it is a mummy day and she doesn’t get to see her friends and the ‘ladies’ who look after her. ‘The walk to the woods’ is her favourite part of the day, but all the activities fill her with stories to tell me at home time. Throughout the pandemic, the staff have done so much to keep everyone safe and I couldn’t be more grateful. (Certainly appreciate all you do after working from home and childcare duties!) thank you!
Both our children have attended this nursery and in the 7 years so far we have never had any issues which haven't been resolved quickly and professionally. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly, and there is a very happy atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
Bright Beginnings is a great nursery. They have been very accommodating to our needs and offer great flexibility meaning we don't need set days which works as we work shifts. The staff are professional, friendly and kind. Good communication from the manager. Like the learning journal idea, more on there would be great though.
Very happy with my sons experience at this nursery. He is always happy to go in and always has a smile on his face when I collect him. Their food menu is brilliant. My son's learning journal updated regularly.
Bright Beginnings Nursery Stirling have truly created a nurturing ‘home-from-home’ environment for the children. It is great to see such a dedication to the children’s development & the commitment to updating the children's learning journals. Would highly recommend!
My son has been at Bright Beginnings Stirling since being 10 months old. I was impressed from the beginning with how friendly and welcoming the staff were to us both. They have provided an excellent range of activities to help him in his development, learning and play and I particularly like the amount of community involvement they have compared to other nurseries in terms of local visits, charity activities etc. He loves attending there and has made some good friends. They have always been very supportive to us as a family unit. They also provide a choice of a nutritious, hot meal at lunchtime which is one of the reasons we chose the nursery.
We have 2 children at Bright Beginnings, their big brother was previously there before primary school. They both love being there, mainly because of the staff. Everyone is very friendly and hard working to accommodate the children. The facilities are generally very good, with lots of indoor and outdoor activities for them. The food they get is always well prepared, our daughter is a picky eater at home, but always eats here lunch at Bright Beginnings. Overall we are very pleased with Bright Beginnings, the staff have always been great over the years, including the manager, and the kids always have fun.
This is a great nursery, my little girl has attended since she was 1 year old and is now 4years. All staff are very friendly and welcoming.
We have both our kids at Bright Beginnings and have experience of four rooms. Both settled in well and enjoy their time there. All staff are friendly and welcoming and the kids have formed good bonds with them. There are lots of activities throughout the day ranging from pure-play to those with a more educational focus and these seem to genuinely contribute to their development. I was very pleased with the recent uptake of the Daily Mile scheme and along with "wake up shake up" and enjoy-a-ball there is a good focus on physical activity. The meals and snacks have plenty of variety with two choices for lunch each day and the kids always seem to find something they want to eat. When our oldest was prescribed glasses I was particularly impressed with the extra effort made to normalise it for them and their peers. Feedback is regular and informative and I got the sense that the staff really get to know the kids as individuals. Overall very pleased!
My children are respected and valued. Most staff and management strive to provide a high-quality service. Facilities and nutrition are good. There are 2 areas in which I would like to see the nursery improve: activities and learning. The children are not offered a wide enough range of activities to take full advantage of their potential to learn. While there are learning topics (H&S, dinosaurs, etc) and related activities, there is so much more the children should be doing in addition: allow them to experience and discover in a creative way their immediate environment: seasonal change, festivities (e.g. Easter), basic laws of physics. There is very little arts and crafts teaching and no use made of alternative materials for arts and craft, hardly any imaginary reuse of materials. They very rarely use alternative outdoor spaces (nearby woodland, playground, park, opportunity to climb). Rarely new songs, no poems, no puppet shows, only one children performance to parents in 3 years.
