View Full Details of Humpty Dumpty's KindergardenMy 3-year-old daughter had a bad experience at this nursery resulting in us having to move her to another setting. We had a few issues, some of which we kept bringing up to the staff and nothing was ever done to resolve them. Also, be sure to read their Ofsted reports.
My little girl started at Humpty Dumpty's in August 2021 at 11-months-old. Being a lockdown baby, I was very worried about her ability to settle away from her mum and how she would cope with the change of routine. Although there were the initial tears as expected, she was soon soothed by the staff and by the time she had been attending a couple of weeks there were no tears at all, even at drop off. She has been going for 2 months now and she reaches for the girls that collect her and happily goes through to her room for breakfast. The girls have got her napping well, they have supported baby-led weaning style feeding and catered for allergies and as a 1-year-old she is using cutlery successfully. Children play outside every day and play is imaginative and varied, using real-world items. Without exception, the staff have been attentive, nurturing and enthusiastic. As a mum, you want to know your child is being genuinely cared for and about, and I have no doubt that this is the case.
We enrolled our son at the age of 1 at the start of this year. I was very anxious about letting strangers care for our most precious little human! Especially during the pandemic, I worried about everything and whether the team would care for him as we do. I needn’t have worried at all! The team treat our son as if he were their own whilst he is there and we can see how happy and secure he is (especially when he refuses to leave!) You can just see that they love him and he adores them too. Our little boy’s confidence has absolutely soared since he started attending Humpty Dumpty’s. He has gone from being the shy, clingy baby in the corner to the chatty, playful boy in the middle of any activity! We have really noticed how much his speech has improved, how well he shares and how well he eats (the menu is fab) and uses cutlery at a table. The team truly have been his extended family at a time when he couldn’t see his own. We couldn’t be more grateful.
Humpty Dumpty’s is a lovely nursery with a real family feel. My daughter was there from 6 months to the age of 5 and my son is currently there. Both children have always been well looked after and really cared for. Their individual interests are incorporated into planned activities and the outside space is used daily. Something is always being developed, updated or improved upon. There is a real focus on playing with everyday household objects. I have felt very supported at key times, for example through potty training my daughter and preparing her for school to leaving a very nervous little boy after months of lockdown. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this nursery.
I have two children at the nursery and have been delighted with the experience so far. The staff are without exception friendly, enthusiastic and clearly care about the children. Both my children love going to nursery and are always smiling and happy when I pick them up. The nursery encourages imaginative and messy play which both of mine love and I can see they are thriving in this fun and caring environment.
