View Full Details of Partou Sycamore House Day Nursery & Pre-schoolWe love Sycamore House, my little girl has been going since she was 10months and it's been the best thing for her. The staff are lovely and treat each child as an individual and pour love into each day! The dedication and support we have received has been nothing short of outstanding. Good communication and fantastic experience all round!
Our daughter has attended Sycamore House from the age of 10 months and she loves the time she spends there. The staff are supportive, kind, and gentle and have genuine affection for the children in their care. The toys and range of activities have given our daughter lots of opportunities to explore and develop in a fun and safe environment. I would, and do, recommend Sycamore House to anyone thinking about a nursery.
I am extremely pleased with the care my son has received at this nursery. When he started in June, the staff made him feel so welcome and eased him in slowly. They provided me with lots of feedback on how he was getting on in the early days, which made me feel at ease. During his first few weeks, they would even call me to let me know he was happy and playing if he was upset when I left. The environment feels very warm and welcoming, and I truly appreciate all the staff who look after my little boy so well.
Sycamore House has been an amazing place for my son to learn and grow. The carers are very nurturing and put a lot of effort into the learning experiences. We were very happy with our experience with all the staff, and would highly recommend this nursery.
Sycamore House has been a fantastic, caring and supportive Nursery for both of my children in their early years. The staff are very kind and supportive, and are always looking for opportunities to help the children grow and develop. There is a great range of activities and equipment for the children to play with, and I really like their approach to learning. My little ones always left with a big smile on their face, and full of great stories about their day, their peers and the staff. The staff management are always friendly, approachable and there is good communication. I would recommend this Nursery wholeheartedly, and we will miss everyone there when we move on this year.
Both of our children attended Sycamore House for a couple of years, and have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. The staff are so friendly, really helpful and supportive and we couldn't have wished for a better team to look after our children. They have enjoyed many different experiences, seen and participated in different activities and are always smiling when we come to pick them up. They also sleep extremely well on a nursey night - another good sign of happiness and active lives! We are sad to leave, and will really miss the team, but do so knowing they both made some great friends, and had a great time whilst with the Sycamore team.
Sycamore House has been a fantastic nursery for both our children. Our eldest has developed so much since starting in the seedlings (baby) room to her leaving for preschool. She's loved everything about the nursery especially the staff who are great. Everyone has always been so helpful and communication has always been great and helpful.
Just a wonderful nursery. My youngest two have both used Sycamore House. They both settled really well, clearly had a great time and it is obvious that staff really care about the children. My son has now left and the staff still call him by his name and ask him how he is when he does pop in. My youngest has a great time. She comes home most days covered in the days activities, happy and full of beans. She loves all the messy play and the gentle approach to learning and development has worked well with both of mine. Parents are really involved in the monthly development plans and regular meetings with the staff member assigned to your child. Overall really happy.
Both my children have attended Partou Sycamore and I could not speak highly enough of this place as a nursery for my children to attend. Since my return to work, which is naturally a nervous time, I have felt so safe in the knowledge that my children are in great hands whilst I am not with them. Not only are they safe, but they are learning so many skills whilst they are there. Just love this nursery.
My daughter is 3 years old and has attended Partou Sycamore House Day Nursery & Pre-school since she was 1. I have always been so impressed with how much she has learnt after each day at nursery. She is happy and very well looked after. The staff are amazing and friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Partou Sycamore House Day Nursery & Pre-school to anyone.
Our daughter has been attending Sycamore House since she was 10 months old and I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and love they have shown her since she started. She has learnt so much in 5 months she has been attending and surprises us every day with something new she has learnt from Sycamore. She has a great relationship with the staff and is so happy to be dropped off and spend the day there. The support the nursery has shown us since my return to work has been amazing and we couldn't do it without them!
Our daughter has been with Sycamore since she was in the toddler room. She’s very quiet but has grown in confidence with the kindness and encouragement of her key workers and all the practitioners. She has also been supported very well with her nappy training, and it has been so impressive the patience shown by the staff after toileting accidents. Practitioners seem well managed and supported which explains the family atmosphere and the safe and cosy feel. She has so much fun each day, the garden is lovely and interesting and all the activities are thoughtful and frequently rotated. She’s always talking about her practitioners and friends and singing the songs she’s learnt, she will really miss everyone when she goes off to school, as will we.
Such a perfect and homely nursery setting and the staff are just brilliant. They are so caring and the communication on routines etc was so straightforward. Felt so at ease dropping my daughter off for the day knowing she was going to be looked after and cared for by such a wonderful team. You will all be missed!
Both our sons have gone to Sycamore House over the years and have loved it. The staff genuinely care about the children, and have been great at steering and educating our boys. Our youngest has grown in confidence since going there and made some lovely friends. I know he will be very sad to leave. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Sycamore House Day Nursery has an open-door policy which means whenever you arrive you can see just how happy and well cared for all the children are at all times. This is a warm and welcoming nursery, the staff all seem so happy within their roles which is obviously transferring down to the children and creating a genuinely positive vibe throughout. My son has been with the nursery for a year and his confidence and development have grown enormously with the unconditional, nurturing love and support that the nursery staff have all provided. I visited all the nurseries within the catchment and could see immediately that this nursery stood out as the best and I have not been disappointed. Their approach to the well-being and happiness of all the children is evident with how happy my son is when he knows it’s a nursery day. What more could any parent want?
Staff are caring and know their children well. My 2-year-old is happy to go into the nursery and speaks about his key workers and other children fondly at home. Communication between nursery and home is excellent and their policies are well thought through to ensure best practice throughout the nursery settings. Staff set up a range of enriching activities each day, based on the children's current interests. Messy play, painting, mark making, role play, singing and outdoor time are just some of the activities on offer. Their child-first approach has led to excellent progress in terms of my child's speech, fine motor skills and emotional regulation. The best thing I can say about Sycamore is that I would wholeheartedly recommend them to others.
I found it very difficult to collect our child from Sycamore on her last days. I was very sad to be taking her away from a place where she felt so happy, safe and loved. Having a place like that where our child could go when we could not look after her has been a huge comfort for us over the past 2 years. All the staff at Sycamore have been amazing and have helped our child to develop into the little lady we are so proud of - thank you all. The most special thanks must go to Becky, who has been such a special part of our child's life and has helped to shape her into a confident, bold and loving little girl. I am sure she does not realise how grateful we are for her, and her relationship with our child. Our child constantly surprises us with her resilience and with so much change she is still bossing us around! She has done well over the first few days of her new nursery, but it is no Sycamore. If it takes a village to raise a child, then Sycamore has been our child's village.
Our child has been with Sycamore for over 2 years. I have to say that the level of care shown to them was absolutely amazing. My child has been able to form really strong bonds with key workers and other staff members and we feel like a part of the family. They have grown from strength to strength and really developed in many ways and we are happy with all the support received
Everyone is so welcoming and personable at Sycamore House, given we only attend once a week I'm amazed how everyone still knows both our girls' names and makes a real effort with them, you can tell they really care about all of the children. The staff work really hard to make the nursery a nice environment and support the children to grow through the curiosity approach. I can see a real difference in our eldest who has progressed from the baby room to the preschool room; the staff have helped to develop her confidence and support her in forming and building friendships.
Our son enjoyed his two years at Sycamore House. We liked that there was a focus on 'natural' play materials as part of the 'curiosity approach' rather than lots of plastic toys, screens etc. Communication was good if there were any issues. He enjoyed the food. Staff were kind and caring.
