View Full Details of Partou Gingerbread House Day Nursery & Pre-schoolAll the staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating with both my children’s needs/requirements. We receive thoughtful feedback and apply at home if applicable. It’s so comforting to know from when I drop my kids off to picking them up that they are safe and happy.
My child goes to the preschool part of the nursery and is thriving well. In fact, he is always very excited to go back! Staff are approachable and friendly, especially the manager. They are accommodating to our needs and we would recommend Gingerbread House.
Great nursery, both our kids have gone there and enjoyed it. The nursery manager is doing sterling work in steadying the ship after a few months of uncertainty. Lovely staff and I think my kids prefer them to me.
The last six months at Gingerbread House have been great, the children seem a lot happier and the staff group is stable. The key workers and nursery nurses are amazing and they really take time to tell you about your child’s day, how to improve skills and ideas for at home. The new management team has also created a more inventive and structured nursery which is really important for the preschool children's skill set. Overall, great nursery for my child.
I have been impressed with how the staff care for my child. The manager is very present and approachable. I feel there is a good range of activities for my child to do and wherever possible (weather permitting) they are encouraged to get outside to play.
My daughter has been going to Gingerbread House Nursery for over two years now. She’s very happy at the nursery and the staff are all very kind and attentive and she looks forward to going to nursery every day.
My eldest daughter started in Gingerbread House Day Nursery when she was only nine months and she has loved her time there. All the teachers and nursery practitioners are lovely and kind and ensure that she's well looked after when we are at work. Now that she's four and almost ready to start reception, Gingerbread offers a range of activities to prepare her for her transition to primary school and make sure she feels confident when starting reception in a few months. I'm actually going to be really sad when her time at Gingerbread comes to an end! My youngest started also in Gingerbread end of last year and she was a bit shy compared to her sister. The staff really went out of their way to ensure she settled well and now she always goes in smiling. Still to this day, I'm amazed they get her to nap for two hours! So yes, I recommend this nursery to other parents if you want a place where your kids can be happy, play, be creative and meet other lovely children.
Since our daughter began at Gingerbread House Day Nursery, she has absolutely flourished. The curiosity, child-led and 'learn through play' approach is just what she needs. Her key worker is fantastic, caring and supportive. There's always a homely feel inside the nursery and our daughter is just so happy there.
It’s always a pleasure speaking to and dealing with the team, both in the office and in the toddler room. Our son has settled in well and has built great relationships with the staff. I have recommended Gingerbread House Day Nursery to a number of other parents because we are so happy with everything.
An awful nursery that is currently struggling. There are staff shortages, building issues and terrible financial management. I booked places for my two children while still pregnant with my second, giving 18 months notice to the start date. 5 weeks after they started the nursery realised they had no capacity and relied too much on agency staff so they cancelled one place and offered me completely different days from what I booked for my baby. My daughter was not happy there which I suspect is because they were not coping well with staff turnover. Twice they gave my children food they were allergic to by accident. My son fell over twice on his last day and no accident report was ever filled in. Their ending the contract refund calculations are completely wrong and have no idea how to manage customer accounts properly. The building had several structural issues too, lovely but probably not maintained quite as it needs. I’m sure it used to be good but at the moment they are not doing great.
Gingerbread House is a lovely nursery, with very caring and trustworthy staff. My daughter always loved attending and always came home with a massive smile on her face. I love that the handover and observations were sent to me on a daily basis and was able to see pictures of my little girl having fun. The activities provided were also amazing with lots of messy play and learning.
Ever since our daughter has joined the nursery, she feels like she is at her 2nd home. The staff have got to know our daughter so well like she is part of the family. Our daughter settled in very easily and has recently moved into the toddler room, where she also transitioned really easily with the staff sharing all their knowledge of our daughter to the new room. I couldn't ask for a better place or people to look after our daughter. The manager is such a delight to communicate with and clearly has a strong passion for providing all the kids with the best experience at the nursery.
Excellent nursery, amazing staff, both of my children are happy, the activities in the pre school year are gearing towards my son starting primary school. My daughter's development and social skills are great and you would never be able to tell she’s a covid baby! I’m so grateful for all the staff and management together with the high standards!
Great to have nursery that is open for 51 weeks of the year. The staff are very caring and patient. High turnover of staff. The children don’t tend to do much educationally. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and understanding to the children's needs
Our daughter has attended the Gingerbread House Nursery for almost three years. It is a very welcoming and safe environment for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers with lots of stimulating toys, a nice outdoor space and friendly staff. She has been very happy there and is well looked after. The staff write thorough observations which are shared on an easy to use app and they do good handovers each day. You can tell they genuinely care for the children and our daughter always comes home saying she has had a great day. I would definitely recommend it.
My son has attended the nursery since May 2021. He suffers from separation anxiety so drop-offs are never easy. However difficult it is, the staff never fails to reassure him making him feel safe and welcome. They are also great at giving handovers and often give tips and suggestions on how to support my child's learning. I read lots of parents receive daily updates through the App. I don't, and I wish there were more pictures to document how his day is going (I typically receive two updates/month). All in all, this is a good nursery and I would definitely recommend it to others.
My grandsons are now in pre-school and love their days at the nursery. They have attended since they were two years old and will be going onto primary school in September. They have close relationships with the staff and both are developing social and learning skills. The staff provide a wide variety of creative as well as play-based activities. I warmly recommend Gingerbread House to any parent or grandparent looking for a safe nurturing environment for their little ones.
My daughter has attended the nursery since November 2020. She settled really quickly and now loves going to nursery. The management and staff are very good and friendly and they take care of my little one. They do a lot of different activities every day and they provide a detailed handover and pictures so it is easy for me to see what she has been doing and eating.
My son started in Pre-School in October and has settled in really quickly. He talks very positively about the staff and his new friends so I am confident that he is happy and very well looked after. I also love seeing the comments and photos on the app to see what he has been doing each day and what he has eaten. The staff always seem very caring and loving which is one of the things that attracted me to the nursery when I first came for a visit at collection time - seeing how positively the staff interacted with the children and the parents. I would definitely recommend this nursery to others.
The lady in charge is very warm, shows vast knowledge in her role, and this transcends to the staff. The team is very communicative, so I am regularly informed of the child’s progress, which is very important to me. Overall, great team, great establishment.
