View Full Details of The Nest Day NurserySuch a beautiful nursery. Feels like home from home. Both my children have now been to The Nest and have loved it. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and always have a smile on their face. I love that when your child has an interest in something they incorporate this into their day at nursery in some way.
The Nest is a home from home nursery. It's small enough that all the children are treated as individuals. Our daughter has been very happy here over the last couple of years. Lovely staff, friendly atmosphere and a focus on really caring for each and every child.
We love The Nest for so many reasons, but mainly because it is small enough that all of the staff know and care for the children as individuals. They encouraged their interests and the daily activities are led by the children's play. They also encourage independent, such as setting the table and cleaning up after an activity. The outside spaces, but they use it so well and have plenty of extracurricular outings, activities, word work sessions, hartbeat classes etc. We have been so impressed and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Our little boy has recently started at The Nest. The team have made both him, and us as parents, as supported as possible. They do their best to know what personally makes your child feel settled and have encouraged his independence, especially with feeding. The team are always friendly and happy to help. We are extremely pleased with our choice of nursery.
I'd viewed several local (large) nurseries but each had visible flaws. Although further from our home, I booked in to see The Nest Day Nursery and I quickly knew this would be the right setting for my daughter. The staff I met felt genuinely passionate about their provision and it wasn't a sales pitch like I'd had in some of the larger chain nurseries. Meeting the owner and learning about her approach was another plus point that convinced me to choose this nursery. A home from home with development focussed on child play and creativity. My daughter settled in quickly and absolutely loves attending. The extra-curricular activities she attends are brilliant (Sing & sign, Hartbeeps) and she's learnt/developed so much in such a short space of time. Meals are another bonus, high quality and varied. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this nursery to anyone. If you want small, personal and caring, choose the Nest Day Nursery in Hersham.
We can't rate The Nest highly enough. Our daughter really struggled to adjust to nursery life and all the staff were so patient and nurturing with her - you could tell they really cared, which is such a big reassurance during a time of big change. She particularly struggled with a one nap schedule and sleeping long enough to feel rested, it was a massive worry for us, but we knew she was in the best hands and after a lot of hard work she finally cracked it! The care at The Nest is second-to-none showcased by her the amazing development steps she's made over the last few months We especially like that she has varied and nutritious meals, which she gobbles down, and the extracurricular activities they offer. Seeing our daughter light up every time we arrive and leave The Nest says it all really.
Wonderful nursery. My son has been here since he was 18 months old to reception and it's great. Wonderful attention to the kids, organic food, fun activities! Couldn't recommend highly enough to anyone considering a nursery in the area.
When we first viewed The Nest we knew that it would be a perfect setting for our daughter. It's a very nurturing and secure environment for the little ones and the staff really do care for the babies. They are so kind and considerate. My daughter is so happy, always smiling and laughing with her key worker when I drop her off and pick her up. I was initially worried about her separation anxiety and eating but the staff were so reassuring and brilliant at making her feel settled really quickly and she eats so much more and even better than she did before. It's a very nutritious and varied meal plan. It's great how they have classes across the week including sing and sign and sensory classes as they are the highlight of my daughter's week, she loves it. There is a lot of variety and stimulation for them. I don't feel any apprehension about taking her to nursery each day (4 days a week) because she's so happy and developing really well. Best decision we made as parents!
Staff appear passionate about keeping our daughter safe and cared for. Providing thorough daily updates on pick-up is appreciated and photos and film on the parent app. The meals provided are outstanding, it gives us great comfort to know she is getting all the nutrients required to grow and develop. The homely, small but well-equipped setup is important for us to know she has the focus of staff rather than being forgotten in a large number of other children. The outdoor space is perfect, with just enough objects for extra interest and interaction, having fresh air and a change of scenery we really appreciate as a family and glad to see out daughter enjoying the space with staff.
The Nest is such a wonderful home-from-home nursery, I have twins and they are both very happy there. They love all the food and activities and the staff are incredible. I couldn't ask for a better nursery and care for my children, every day they learn new skills and have just started singing and signing, which I think is such a great addition for children to learn. The staff share updates and photos on their app and there is a great closed special media group that informs you of all different things from nursery updates to activities to do at home to new menus for the month. So happy we chose The Nest.
The Nest is a lovely home from home setting. Our daughter has been attending for two months now and after a wobbly start the staff have helped us approach settling in with shorter days and provided us with plenty of reassurance by sharing photos, videos and phone calls to help keep us informed and at ease with the transition to nursery. Only after two months, we can see how much our little one is learning from being at The Nest and we love that when we pick her up in the afternoon she is giggling and bouncing away having had a fun filled day. The photos we get on social media and the parents' app on Friday make our week and we are, so far, so pleased with our choice.
I couldn’t ask for anything more in a nursery for my son. All staff are excellent and go above and beyond to make the nursery experience the best it can be both for the children and the parents. The environment is warm, caring, safe and fun. The Nest Day Nursery provides a home from home experience (with the added extra provided by all the wonderful activities and creativity) which my son enters happily and with enthusiasm every day. Couldn’t recommend more.
Whether it’s baking scones independently or making helicopters in a woodworking session, you can guarantee that The Nest Day Nursery provides a diverse, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The staff are passionate and go above and beyond to ensure every little one has the best possible experience.
A lovely nursery in a home-from-home setting. My child is very happy here and she loves going in every day to see the staff and children. She is always learning and is thrilled to tell me what she’s been doing that day, whether it be art, dancing or singing.
We're in love with this little nursery - two kids there and they're developing wonderfully. The new SENCO is a particular asset, she's great at working with the kids, building relationships as well as keeping the parents up-to-date and informed.
Staff are friendly and nurturing - they care about the children and help them develop in ways which are fun and engaging. Our child comes home happy and understands who to go to for help and support.
Our daughter has been attending The Nest Day Nursery for about 6 months now. We were immediately impressed with the way they engaged with all of the children to support their development from an early age. With a series of supported settling-in sessions, our daughter adjusted quickly and lovingly to The Nest. The key worker quickly developed a strong rapport and the room lead was supportive at every opportunity. Having her enter each morning with a smile on her face is reassuring. During this time and to this day, we receive regular, informative updates during drop-offs and pick-ups, an app, and other platforms. Communication from The Nest team is superb. The variety of high-quality toys and play activities The Nest team uses to engage with the children is very impressive. Overall, we are delighted with the team at The Nest and look forward to our child enjoying many more happy years there.
Both children have attended The Nest Day Nursery, the eldest has finished and the youngest started recently. The progress and happiness my eldest experienced were fantastic and look forward to my youngest enjoying his time there. Staff engagement is great and the nursery is always well-kept. The extra activities and the care they take in nutrition is also (I feel) important and great to see. Highly recommended.
Both of our children have gone to The Nest and we couldn't be happier. It's a lovely small nursery with exceptionally high standards. They have a child-led approach to play and really do cover such a variety of activities and topics including Sing-and-Sign and dance classes. I love to see the posts on Tapestry of what they have got up to that week. They dealt with Covid-19 amazingly - adjusting to what was needed at the time and were very diligent over the last few years in ensuring the children were protected. Food-wise, a lot of thought goes into what they feed the children to give them a balanced diet and I think they are fed better there than at home! Lastly, the staff are a wonderful group, as it's a smaller nursery you get to know everyone and staff turnover is low. I think my son's key worker is his favourite person in the world! Highly, highly recommended! Thank you everyone in the team.
The perfect size of nursery, its relatively small size, means you get to know all the staff well and they know you and your child inside out. We love their independence ethos and have started to see these skills at home as well. They have fantastic extracurricular classes which our little boy loves. We would highly recommend it.
