View Full Details of The Fruit Tree Day NurseryOur 16-month-old son attended Fruit Tree from the age of 11 months to 16 months. He finished because we were relocating overseas. It's such a lovely place. Our son very quickly went in happily every morning. The teachers all really care about the kids, and it was so nice to see them all greet him by name and with big smiles and cuddles when we went inside. They do all sorts of lovely activities. The Christmas concert was a real highlight. The menu is great and he ate a really nice variety of food every week. Wish he ate that adventurously at home! The staff are all really lovely and always happy to chat about how he's doing. We really loved this place and would happily recommend it. We will really miss them all.
My son just ’graduated’ from The Fruit Tree Day Nursery, having attended for just over two years. We struggled to find a nursery, his first one shut down and the second was inadequate. I was so pleased to find The Fruit Tree. It’s much more affordable than other nurseries in the area, without sacrificing any of the services. My son learnt so many things there - I’d suddenly discover he could count to ten in French or write his name. But more importantly he learnt to interact with other children, listen and learn, and he always said he’d had fun at the end of the day. The menu for the children was always fresh and varied and my son loved the food. As with most nurseries, there could be more communication. But the nursery always sent home a sheet with details of food and some activities, as well as more detailed reports twice a year. The management were always super quick to respond to any query and were very helpful. The nursery is such a great asset for Camberwell and genuinely serves the community.
Highly recommend this warm and caring nursery. Our son settled into the baby room immediately, under the calm guidance of experienced staff. He continued to make very strong bonds with the toddler room staff and we saw him take leaps in his development. They were an absolute rock for our family during Covid. Fantastic staff with very low turnover, under guidance from excellent management. Thank you all.
After months of searching for a day nursery to put my son in, I stumbled across The Fruit Tree Day Nursery and both me and my boy instantly liked this one. Tucked away like a hidden gem this nursery ticked all the requirements we needed. My boy settled in quite well and always had a warm welcoming from all of the staff here. I witnessed my boy go from baby to little boy in the year he spent here and learnt so much from them. It was such a hard decision to take my boy out of Fruit Tree because he bonded so well with his teachers and all the staff but knew it was the right decision. Would highly recommend this nursery to all parents- as it's not just any old day nursery but a warm and loving place that I am proud to have sent my son to.
I could not recommend enough The Fruit Tree Day Nursery. From his very first day, my little one was welcomed in an environment that rather felt like home. Along the years spent there, he literally thrived. I saw him develop at his pace, encouraged and supported by the wonderful staff of the nursery. My child was given a chance to discover his strength and weaknesses and work on these day by day. He understood the importance of respecting others and to take particular care of his younger peers. Every day, he would come home enthusiastic, telling me about the variety of activities he was involved, what he learnt, heard and enjoyed. Drop-off and pick-up time became a pleasant ritual for me, too. The staff and management became part of our little world. My son has only just started reception and we are missing much this special nursery. I have to add that his new teachers were quite impressed by the high standard of preparation my little one demonstrated and asked about The Fruit Tree. Having tried other nurseries before, I can confidently say that this is a little gem we had the luck to discover.
Brilliant nursery, couldn't wish for better for my son he has learnt so much in the short time he has been going. Also helped with potty training within one week which was a great help. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and caring about each of the children.
My son joined the nursery when he was 22 months and is now 3 1/2. The staff have always looked after him extremely well & had his best interests at heart. He loves it and looks forward to going each day. He knows all the staff by name and seeks comfort from them if he is upset and they always attend to him in an affectionate manner. I've have always found the staff to be friendly and approachable. As my son is now in pre-school, I'm very happy with the current standard of teaching. The teachers in pre-school recognise when a child needs more stimulation and encourage them to work with or on things they enjoy to keep them occupied rather than putting it down to the child being disruptive. My son surprises us daily with new things he has learnt. In my experience the pre-school staff always find new and interesting things to keep the children curious and interested. I'm also very pleased with the varied daily menu of fresh and healthy food cooked by their onsite chef, it's also great to see that they encourage all the children to serve themselves and be more independent.
