View Full Details of EDG NurseryMy 2 children each spent 3 years at EDG nursery and I couldn't be more grateful they spent them there. They learnt so much (motor skills, emotional skills, social skills), were so well cared for (or should I say loved!), and made great friendships. The nursery staff (each and every single one of them) has been amazing and the whole family will miss them dearly. One can feel the family spirit of EDG from day one. Your child/children will be great there.
It's often hard to review a nursery because you don't usually have anything to compare it to. But, with another child at a different nursery, I know EDG to be unusually committed to involving parents and unusually good at giving the kids a range of experiences. Dropping off in the room seems unusual for nurseries in the local area (at least post Covid), and we feel it's made a huge difference to how much we all feel a part of the EDG family, and how easy it's been to make friends with other parents (plus the family fun days and parents evenings!). Preschool is particularly fantastic- our daughter has learnt so much and grown so much in confidence; we feel she'll have a significant head start when she starts school. Thoroughly recommend!
We have been really happy with EDG Nursery for both of our children and are very sad to be saying goodbye for the last time! The staff have been all amazing, they really care and have such warmth for the children. Despite having to deal with lots of challenges (covid etc) they have always tried to manage and deal with the needs of the kids first. They are open to feedback and deal well with parent input.
EDG has been great for our son. The staff has been amazing and he has grown so much and developed great social skills with their support. The nursery is very welcoming and all staff really make an effort in making you and your child feel at home.
EDG is a wonderful, nurturing and creative environment. We have found the staff to be dedicated and invested in the emotional welfare and academic development of each child individually. They treat the children - and their parents -with care, attention and respect and go over and beyond to encourage, develop and help children to enjoy their time at nursery. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and nothing is too onerous for any member of staff!
EDG is such a friendly and welcoming nursery. All staff from management to floor staff are great at getting to know your children and put so much effort into making the nursery a caring and fun place to be. The staff are good at listening to feedback and making changes when needed. The rooms are clean and have lots of different things for the children to play with and different activities for them to do each day. The children are encouraged to be independent (when age appropriate) and they also do classes such as yoga, gymnastics and phonics which both my children have loved. The outside space is also a great area and is used by the children every day. The staff put in so much effort with special occasions to bring all the families together such as a summer party and Christmas celebrations. I have had a really positive experience with both my children.
EDG is a wonderful nursery. Our children have been cared for and educated by a fantastic group of people who have consistently impressed me with their good humour and thoughtfulness. Every person I’ve interacted with, from the reception desk, through each room and including managers, has been great. I have recommended EDG to friends and would do so to anyone. The parent community has been another huge plus - lots of caring and fun people.
My son started EDG when he was 10 months old and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. Every team member is welcoming and kind, so warm and caring. They also do fab extra activities like a Mother’s Day afternoon tea. My son and I had such a lovely time. Was so nice to see him in interacting with everyone and I was really able to see how settled and happy he was. There was so much thought that had gone into each aspect of the afternoon, I really wasn't expecting it, I can't even imagine how much everyone has going on each day so to add this to their to-do list I was very grateful.
My eldest attended and now my second child attends EDG. My children enjoyed it here and all the staff know them all by name, including my eldest who has left the nursery now for 2 years. It's lovely to enter and have everyone they pass by say hi to them. There has been a high turnover of staff recently and perhaps the newer staff are not as engaging initially with the kids but that has always settled. Would highly recommend EDG, they have various family-focused events throughout the year and maintain close communication with parents. All the staff has gone above and beyond for my kids and I cannot thank them enough.
We are very happy with the EDG Nursery. All our three children went there (our youngest started at the end of 2023). The nursery provides a loving and caring environment, where children can learn and gain new experiences. The space is very well-presented, and the children enjoy both indoor and outdoor areas. We also appreciate the detailed daily feedback we receive from the nursery. The management and carers are always open to discussing any issues. The nursery also greatly supported us with our middle child's speech challenges. We also appreciate the effort that staff puts into organising various celebrations for children and parents to enjoy.
EDG Nursery is a really family-oriented nursery. They’re hugely passionate about the children and work hard to provide the best environment. Classrooms are clean and well-presented, full of educational prompts and interesting things, with children’s art and crafts on the walls. They have a great app for regular updates and staff are friendly and helpful and take the time to know both parents and children on a personal level. There are regular events and celebrations for things such as for Mother’s Day, Black History Month, Chinese New Year, Eid al-Fitr or Christmas. They also have weekly visits from external partners, such as yoga classes or gymnastics in the summer. We’re so glad we are at EDG, our daughter loves it and our son will be joining when I go back to work from maternity!
We have had two children go through EDG Nursery and have absolutely loved both experiences. I can’t even begin to explain how much the staff genuinely care for and love the children, making them feel so welcome and us, as parents, feel so secure leaving our children in their care. It’s the small things, like they always play music - because it’s been proven that this helps with their development - all the way through to the warm atmosphere, the diversity of activities and care and attention.
EDG Nursery was a fabulous setting for our daughter who was there from 10 months of age. She adored going to the nursery and made strong connections with all the staff. EDG is a very warm, welcoming and caring nursery and we were always confident that our daughter was being well looked after. The facilities are good, particularly the outside space which can be used all year round regardless of weather though the downstairs rooms could do with a little more natural light. All staff put in exceptional effort including the lovely reception staff and it was a pleasure interacting with them every day. There were lots of changes at the nursery whilst our daughter was there and under new management the nursery is going from strength to strength. Communications/systems could still be improved a little but these are minor points and we would very much recommend EDG.
EDG is a lovely setting for the children - staff are great with the children in all the rooms and they build a good relationship with parents. The reception staff are fantastic too. The nursery has good facilities including a garden and an art room, and has a really nice focus on child led play and learning. They prepared my son brilliantly for school (he was there for 3 years) and my daughter is very happy there.
Beautiful nursery who have welcomed us from the start of viewing. Lots of space and a large garden. Activities allow my son to play freely and learn. Rooms are light and airy and well set up for a child's development. One attraction of the nursery was the yoga and French they offer. Also pre-Covid they arranged outdoor trips and external visitors frequently - we hope that this can be restored in due course. Staff all friendly, welcoming and fill us with confidence. Management supportive and understanding over the Covid time. Our son loves it at EDG and we are very happy we chose it.
EDG is a wonderful setting. The staff are warm, engaging and so caring towards the children. The management are dedicated and are very connected with the children and concerned for their well-being. We are so grateful to them for taking such good care of our daughter.
We only have positive things to say about EDG and our son is so happy to be there. We were immediately struck by how caring and attentive the staff are and by the positive and warm learning environment that has been created within the nursery. Being first-time parents when he joined, it was such a relief knowing that our child is in such safe hands and being well looked after. The management are always friendly and happy to talk through any issues parents might have and, given the regular updates we get on our son's development, feel active partners in his learning. During the covid-19 pandemic, the nursery went out of their way to be open and supportive, and we're so grateful for the willingness of all the nursery staff to get EDG open and running again as quickly and safely as possible. We already have our new daughter down to join nursery soon, which is probably the highest praise we can give to them!
My son has been attending the nursery for almost 2 years now and he has been very happy here. Despite some of the issues with previous management and Ofsted rating, we have never had any concerns with the care my son has been given. The current staff are amazing and positive changes of new management in introductory science-based educational exercises has been great. The feel given is fresh and healthy. My son loves the outsourced tennis coach on Wednesdays. All the other children at the nursery are lovely and my son has a great mix of friends there.
We sent our daughter here for 4 months and have only taken her out because we left London. The staff are all really friendly and nice and genuinely care for the children and are always reassuring. They also made drop off and pick up a dream by spending time with us to exchange information and give updates. My daughter, in a really short time frame, bonded with staff and was quite happy!
My daughter joined the nursery in September and has settled in wonderfully. The staff are caring, enthusiastic and she receives very personalised attention. She thoroughly enjoys herself there and experiences may new activities but most important of all to me is the caring and friendly atmosphere.
