View Full Details of Ashworth View NurseryOur daughter started her Ashworth View journey aged 9 months and is now nearly 4 years old in the pre-school room. She is always excited to share what she has learnt at nursery and brings home anything she has made with such pride. She loves all the practitioners who are both looking after her now but also those who have looked after her over the years and who are still in other rooms at the nursery. She also has many friends and loves to play with them outside as the nursery has a fabulous outdoor area. It's reassuring to know she is in such a happy, caring and fun environment each day that she looks forward to attending, with her favourite day of the week being the jolly phonics sessions.
Ashworth View is a fantastic nursery, my child has been there for 5 months. He has been in two different rooms so far and the transitions and settling-in sessions they organise are well timed so children are settled and happy in their rooms ready to play and learn. All activities are tailored towards the children's progression as a group and individually, which meets the EYFS. The progression my child has made since he started has been amazing; his crawling, speech, walking and understanding of basic commands have really improved and this is all down to the staff. You get daily updates on the app of activities with descriptions linking towards the EYFS. When I pick him up he's a happy boy, this helps my mum's guilt disappear as I know he's done lots of activities, surrounded by staff that care for him. He has a few medical needs which require staff to go that extra mile, they always communicate with me if needed about this and reassure me that he is getting the care he needs!
My son has been attending Ashworth View since he was 9 months old and he's loved every second! He's made some lovely friendships with other children and incredible bonds with the staff. It's made such a difference to my little boy's development; it's amazing hearing and seeing all the new things he's learnt while he's there.
Our son has been attending Ashworth View Nursery since last Easter and it has been the best decision we made for him. My son has developed and learnt so much since he started. The staff are amazing. Their friendly, caring approach, makes it comfortable for him to come in and enjoy himself. The manager is very supportive and quick to help with any issues. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel welcome. Our daughter will be starting soon. We are so excited about her journey at Ashworth view too! Thank you to the amazing staff.
Ashworth View has been excellent with my young boy who has been there for about 6 months now. He settled in very quickly, came home boasting of his "friends" from around 18 months old. His language skills have grown exceptionally over this time period and they always have exciting activities for the children including playing outside, painting, seasonal games and activities etc. In particular, three of the ladies have been excellent. My son has come home talking of them and notes them to be "his favourites", he looks forward to seeing them in the morning and goes in with a smile particularly if they are there. My only critique would be it's so fun that sometimes he would rather show me all the exciting things at nursery than come home! Takes ages to get out the building as he doesn't want to leave.
My little boy has been attending this nursery from 9 months old and has just left for school now. We have always had a positive experience at nursery from him starting in the baby room to now. He has built really good relationships with the staff and the staff have always made us feel at ease leaving our baby. The planning is excellent to meet his interests, and the activities carried out daily are amazing and he's always loved each and every one! Thank you for providing my little boy with such an amazing setting for the last few years!
Our child has attended Ashworth View Nursery for 2 and half years and has been so happy in that time. The staff are fantastic and do a wide range of activities/learning with the children. The outdoor space is brilliant and a highlight for our son. Our second child is due to start there soon, we would highly recommend it.
Since my son has been attending Ashworth, he's really come out of his shell. He's made so many friends, his communication has improved and he's come out of his shell. The staff allow him to be himself and they help encourage his interests. The staff are well knowledgeable with everything and are willing to work with us as parents in supporting his learning needs and his creative interest also.
Ashworth View is such a warm and welcoming nursery! We've had a great experience since day one. Our daughter has attended since she was seven months old, and she is now almost three. The staff in each room have been so kind, helpful and caring, especially when it's time to move up a room. We have found that our daughter has made lots of nursery friends, and loves the staff, regularly chatting about them when she is at home. Our fave things about Ashworth View; the staff, the great outdoor area, the app to see what she's up to during the day, when she comes home singing new songs she's definitely learned at nursery! Thank you very much Ashworth View - for making us feel not one bit worried when we leave her with you at nursery!
Both our children are at Ashworth View full-time and love it. We had previously moved our eldest to Ashworth after being dissatisfied with another local nursery, around 2-3 years ago. The difference was measurable. I feel the best critics of the nursery are the children that attend. Ours can't wait to go, they talk about what they have done and learned each day and have always been happy there. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming, the surroundings are beautiful, at times they even provide coffee and hot breakfast for parents! - what more could you ask for?
My daughter has been going for two years and through three of the rooms. We have been immensely happy with all stages due to the wonderful staff and facilities. She's now in the Bees unit and is thriving. Appreciate the hard work of the staff in the rooms and would recommend to anyone.
We've had a really lovely journey with my toddler at Ashworth View Nursery. I was very nervous and the staff at Ashworth View did everything they could to help me and my son settle in. We had lots of settler sessions and updates on his progress. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional. There are lots of opportunities to celebrate the children, from focused activity weeks, cultural and festive activities to birthday baking. The nursery is situated in a beautiful location and my son spends lots of time outdoors. I'm so glad I picked this nursery and I would highly recommend it to other parents.
My son has attended Ashworth View since he was 6 months old, now 2 and a half. I have consistently felt that the care has been outstanding and that the staff in each room genuinely support and encourage his development. My son adores nursery and talks about the activities, his friends and staff on a daily basis. The food is a good healthy range and I like that the children where appropriate are encouraged to self-serve. My son used to have dietary allergies and I feel these were well supported by all staff with good alternatives supplied. I feel the communication is good with the staff who are always keeping us updated with my son's development and progress, especially through key processes such as weaning, walking, potty training. I would have no hesitation in recommending the nursery. My only constructive criticism is that management communication and process could be better with parents when enrolling/awaiting a place/going through the settling-in transition.
My second child is currently at Ashworth View, after my daughter attended and left a couple of years ago. I have always had an excellent experience with the nursery for both children. They are incredibly considerate of the needs of my child and I regularly receive feedback on how he is progressing. The nursery have also been incredibly helpful in times of need, incorporating extra sessions at short notice if they have had the capacity to do so. I would highly recommend the nursery.
My son has been attending Ashworth View Nursery from being 1 years old he is now 2 and has settled in really well all the staff are lovely, and I feel they are really observant when it comes to my son not just in the care of him but his overall progression, learning, eating and his verbal progression, my little one is very picky with who he likes and I have found that he seems very happy with all the staff at the nursery, I love how they take my little one outside to play regularly also as he loves being outdoors, my son is also a very picky eater and he seems to really enjoy the food when he's at nursery which puts my mind at rest that he's actually eating as it's a struggle at times, my cousin recommended this nursery as her sons attended too and I'm so glad she did as my experience so far has been great.
Ashworth View is a fantastic nursery and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for childcare, my little boy is so happy going into nursery and the staff are just lovely, they really care and encourage all the children.
Due to personal circumstances, this is the third (and last) nursery we have sent our daughter to and we love it. We feel that well-qualified and experienced staff are valued here and that the nursery tries to retain them. Given the national crisis within early years childcare, I think this particular nursery's ability to maintain high standards is testimony to everyone involved with the running of it. I could sing your praises all day but we do have one negative; the food. We cannot fathom why the nursery would choose to give children unhealthy and sugary foods, over healthy alternatives. The nursery is happy to accommodate the dietary preferences we have for our child but we do feel the nursery's policy on providing healthy foods should be reviewed. In the past, we have felt that communication between staff and parents could be poor at times but this has significantly improved since the new manager was appointed.
Our child has been attending Ashworth View Nursery for almost a year now. Lovely caring staff and always happy to talk through any issues that may arise. Management staff also very attentive to questions and concerns, with prompt replies which is greatly appreciated. More than happy for our child to continue attending until they reach Reception age.
My Child has been attending Ashworth View Nursery since March 2023 in the tiny lambs room (Baby room). She loves coming in the morning and is happy to see all staff and her new little friends. The outdoor area is amazing and the tiny lambs room is beautifully set out with a nice homely feel. There is a wide range of meals available that are home cooked everyday that include lots of fruits and vegetables. We get information through an app what our child has eaten, nappy changes, sleeps and photos of what she is doing throughout the day which as a first time parent is very reassuring. All the staff are so caring and celebrate her achievements as much as we do. I would 100% recommend this nursery setting.
Recently the nursery has massively gone downhill. There has been a complete overhaul of staff including a new management structure. The new manager has a complete lack of empathy for the families and is implementing a number of policies/procedures by simply sticking a sign on the doors to the nursery regarding late collection fees and no parking signs. There is a way to communicate effectively and this is not it. A number of parents have enquired about their child being in extra days during school holidays but the nursery is not willing to accommodate this. Just to note it is now £60 for a full-day session. If your child receives 30 hours of funding, be prepared to be charged a £10 'contribution fee' which the Operations Manager actually informed was for food, consumables, electricity and water. They 'do not recommend packed lunches'. There is no denying that the nursery has lovely facilities and vast outdoor areas, but since the recent changes, we are looking elsewhere.
