View Full Details of Little People AlwoodleyI applied for full time place for my 3 year old son. I should have known this nursery was too good to be true. I, my partner and my son were treated unfairly. They made allegations that my son had behavioural problems after one month of him being there, but did not display which issues my son had. They also made fake allegations that my son was poorly just so they could send him home due to the nursery being unstaffed and only having 2 staff to 16 children between 3pm and 6pm. The nursery manager spoke to me and my partner in a very condescending tone with a horrible attitude. I was threatened that if I did not contact a speech and language therapist that they would remove my son. My son was at another nursery for one year prior to changing to Little People and never once displayed behavioural issues or any problems. I would advise you do not pay to send your child here. Do not waste your money as they will treat you unfairly and make up allegations against your child.
I am always pleased with the care provided by Little People Nurseries (Alwoodley), which my children attend during the school holidays! It is a warm, multicultural and friendly environment where staff make every effort to ensure that every child, especially the more sensitive ones, feels safe and loved. As a parent of a child with anxiety, I can wholeheartedly say that my daughter is not only having a great time, but also feeling at ease, which is a huge relief. The dedicated staff and management team regularly check that children are happy and comfortable. The manager is lovely and always helpful. I highly recommend this nursery to working parents who need a supportive and caring environment for their children.
We have used a number of various childcare professionals/establishments over the past 4 years, including some that have Ofsted ratings of 'outstanding' but they do not come close to the dedicated, friendly, caring and compassionate staff at Little People in Alwoodley. The staff team and manager really make this nursery the best we have used. They adapt to our child's needs and our parental wishes without batting an eyelid. They are always approachable and friendly, and our two children love attending. I have always felt confident that the staff are looking after my children well and in the same way that I would. They spend a lot of time outdoors whenever possible, which the kids just love. Despite all the fun, the nursery somehow fit in lots of learning activities and fully prepare the children for starting school. The only reason we are leaving the nursery is due to our eldest starting school in another area. I can't recommend this nursery enough.
We have been really pleased with the provision at Little People. The staff are extremely caring and very consistent and there is a wide variety of activities provided every week. Our daughter has been very happy to go and there are clear expectations from staff in terms of behaviour and self-care which is excellent. The online learning journal is also a great communication tool that is updated regularly.
Overall, I feel that its a perfect place for my children. The caretakers really take good care of them. My Children feel at home and I am satisfied with the nursery. The nursery makes me feel comfortable at work giving the confidence that my children are well-taken care off.
After moving my son from a previous nursery due to lack of care, I am truly beyond words at how amazing the staff and management team are at Alwoodley nursery! My little boy has come on in leaps and bounds and the staff always have times for any concerns and feedback! I always feel welcome and feel the warmth as soon as I enter nursery! The food is also freshly cooked and my little boy always has seconds of everything! The manager is so comforting and reassuring and bends over backwards for all parents she always welcomes us in and will stop everything she's doing if we need to talk to her. The staff are all fully trained to handle my little boy who has epilepsy which really puts my mind at ease when I have to leave him and go to work! I look forwards to the rest of my little boy's journey at little people's!
Friendly staff, have bonded with my child really well, she has built in confidence and is very happy attending nursery, the activities that the children do are great. The staff work hard and are happy, any problems they are always happy to discuss them. The review at the end of the day is good. The outdoor area is full of great toys to build imagination, my child always points to them on the way out. My daughter attended from 10 months, and she has developed so much during her time here. She loves it when they all sing songs.
My son loves it at Alwoodley nursery. Staff are very caring and understanding in overall circumstances. I wish the nursery opened at 7am to cover for those parents that start work at 8am. Closing time is absolutely perfect.
Great team great nursery! My daughter loves all the stuff. Thank you. Xmas party was nice every time my daughter comes home, she knows new things. She is always happy and excited going to nursery. Sometimes she has her off days, but not often.
Love this nursery. When my little girl was in the baby room and ready to move up, I didn't want her to leave because we loved the staff so much, not knowing it would be the same in the next room as well. The ladies are so caring, friendly and kind. My daughter loves them all. Really pleased I chose this nursery for her and looking forward to her moving to the final room in the summer.
