My three-year-old son has been enrolled for five months. The team is amazing. Teachers are very accommodating to his individual needs while teaching him fundamental social and learning skills. They did their absolute best to help him settle there and happily come back. The atmosphere is amazing and activities they do are outstanding. Thank you so much for all you do.

The Baby Snug team has been fantastic since our daughter started increased days at the beginning of the year. She has made impressive strides in eating independently, her communication, and her sleep, and she's always happily playing when we pick her up. She eagerly heads in with her key worker or any team member each morning, all of whom make a real effort to ensure she feels comfortable. We take great comfort in knowing that our daughter is well cared for by everyone and seems to genuinely enjoy her time there. The team keep us updated, either in person or through the app whenever possible. The management team has also been incredibly helpful and accommodating, especially with a recent allergy discovery. Given our highly positive experience with the Southwater team over the past six months, I couldn't recommend them more.

Both my children have thrived since joining Southwater Day nursery and Pre-school. The care given by the team is wonderful and helped settle both children really well into their respective rooms. Handovers are always really informative, mentioning what they have been up to that day, what they have eaten etc. Management have always been really helpful answering any questions I have. It is an all round brilliant nursery and pre-school.

So far we've had such a great experience of the nursery, the toddler den and baby snug staff are all so lovely and welcoming, our children adore them all. Whenever I need to call up to check in on both my children the management staff are great and really attentive. Seeing them both come out with massive smiles on their faces says it all, so thank you to everyone! The only not so great thing is that we can't take the chef home as they only seem to eat her meals.

As an anxious mother, sending our first child to nursery has been incredibly hard. But all the staff at Southwater Family Nursery have been wonderful. They share all our child's activities throughout the day. They send updates with videos and pictures of our child's progress via the app and are always so happy to welcome them each day. Our child's key worker compiles a thorough observation review each term and informs us of the next steps for them to hit their milestones. Our child has progressed so well and is starting to make lovely relationships with staff and their peers. I cannot recommend this nursery enough. They are highly professional, caring and knowledgeable people, with your child's care and happiness in mind. Thank you.

Baby snug staff are amazing! Every staff member is very caring and attentive. If I've ever had any worries they are always there to listen and provide any advice or reassurance. My son happily runs in in the morning and is always happily playing when collected. The staff have worked with me to improve my child's eating progress and stuck as close as they can to our at-home sleep schedule. The app is good for seeing progress throughout the day. I do wish the staff were given more time to update the app quicker but I completely understand why this is not always possible. It would be helpful to have back on the app what the meals/snacks for the day are so we can make sure we are not offering the same things. I know this is displayed usually on a board as it's busy at drop off and often in a rush it's not always seen. Really happy overall and would certainly recommend!

Little one started in September, all the staff are friendly and capable. We have a baby that does not sleep and they worked with us on this matter. Would recommend for a safe and welcoming environment. Little one never cries at drop off just wants to get the day started there!

My son is very happy and settled and is well looked after by everyone. I am very happy and my son is growing in confidence. I would like more outside space but know they make the best of what they have and go outside as much as they can!

What an amazing nursery. I am blown away by how warm welcoming and above all amazing the staff are with each individual child they have at the nursery. I love the array of activities they have daily for the children to do which are also very educational as well. The food menu is brilliant and all home-cooked and the gorgeous smells from the kitchen when you walk in show the quality of the meals the children have. We attended the Southwater Christmas Fayre at the nursery and were made so welcome my daughter didn't actually want to leave. The gift from Santa was lovely and a lovely memory for her to look back on. We got to view the preschool part of the nursery as it was open and wow the variety of toys on offer and the space is amazing and can't wait for the next step in my daughter's journey into the preschool area when she is the correct age. Can't recommend this nursery enough.

It's always a wonderful experience for my daughter at nursery, the workers are fantastic and it's always a pleasure to drop off and collect. Everyone is always happy, communication is easy and it's a very clean environment. My daughter enjoys nursery so much and it's a pleasure to see her thriving.

We have nothing but praise for the team at Southwater Day Nursery. They have been so kind and supportive in helping our little boy (now 13 months) settle at nursery since he started in September 2024. They know him so well and really capture his interest with activities they know he will enjoy. He is always happy to go to them on drop off and we are reassured knowing that he will be cared for so well. Having come from a nursery background myself I could not be more happy with all aspects of the care and communication. We highly recommend Southwater Day Nursery.

My son has been at this nursery for a year now, and he loves going! I especially love how easy they made the transition for him from the baby snug to the toddler den, at the same time he was becoming a big brother. He always has a good day, and I love that he can be creative and play outside, sing songs, play games and so much more. A special shout out to his key worker who always tells us how much of a pleasure it is to have him, and to another lady who will always give me a boost when I’ve come in to pick up and had a hard day/week. The only reason for 4 stars for facilities/outdoor is that the outdoor section is quite small as it is right next to the infant school, but they always go outside and play and have a sand pit and tons of toys.

Our son has so much fun here that he is usually fuming when we pick him up at the end of the day. There is such a variety of great and engaging activities, they even have access to the fairy woods where they explore and get to sit around the (pretend!) campfire. He has complex needs both dietary and some emotional, which has been taken entirely in their stride. He has made some lovely friends and the staff treat him so wonderfully. The staff are all such lovely humans. Thank you!

Our little boy started here in January 2024. He initially struggled with handover every morning and became very upset. Staff, in particular, the room lead and his key worker, were very reassuring and honest about how he settled after I left, the support they gave him (cuddles) and updated the app quickly. Each time I collected him, I had a detailed verbal update on his day to give me the confidence to drop him off the next day. They reassured me it would get easier and 6 weeks in, he went in happily and waved goodbye to me. He has already learned so much here too and can now use a spoon and build a tower all on his own!

Our son absolutely loves going to pre-school at Southwater Day Nursery and Pre-school family. He has come on leaps and bounds in every way imaginable; speech, confidence, storytelling, dancing and so much more. He started at the nursery where one member of staff fast became his bestie. She also supported me as a new mum on a number of occasions. Over at pre-school, another member of staff has become a second mum to him. Her caring, ever-smiling persona is so uplifting. And again, her advice is always so helpful. The nursery practitioners really love to ensure the children have fun in a safe environment. Our son comes home telling us of his adventures, whether it be he’s been playing on the tennis course, finding slugs in the woods or having tea at the seaside (imaginative play). The food must be superb as our fussy eater has second and third helpings! Thanks for everything you do ladies.

The nursery practitioners all take such good care of our son. He is so happy at pre-school and is being prepared really well for starting school. We really appreciate the SEN support he is given.

Really pleased with the quality of my daughter's care. Her development is coming on in leaps and bounds and she is so happy to be there. Management manages everything well and responds to emails and queries quickly. My daughter has a very positive relationship with her key worker and has a lovely relationship with her. The room leader seems to be well organised and is spoken about at home regularly. The chef has had her eating a lovely variety of food and we are struggling to match this at home! Our previous experience with childcare was very negative, I am delighted my daughter has had the chance to flourish at this nursery. We are fully confident in her transition to pre-school later in the year, I feel everyone is knowledgeable and doing the best for my daughter and she is doing so well as a result.

Moved my 2-year-old to this nursery in August and after a few weeks of settling in, he is now bounding into nursery every day as he absolutely loves it. He has a great bond with his key carer who is such a lovely, calming and gentle person for my son to be around. I couldn’t be happier with moving nurseries, the support from the manager and the team has been great and really good communication which, as a working mum, is hugely appreciated. Thank you to all the team who do an amazing job in the toddler room.

We love Southwater Day Nursery and Pre-school, they have been so warm and welcoming to our daughter. She was very shy when she started and settled in really well, her confidence has grown leaps and bounds. She is always coming back with stories of adventures she has had with her friends and the wonderful nursery practitioners. They all go the extra mile to ensure she has an enjoyable, happy day. They are great at encouraging creativity and she’s always coming back with things she’s made or drawn which she really enjoys. She loved taking part in the Christmas show and is looking forward to World Book Day.

Our son has had his first settling-in sessions in February and I cannot praise the staff enough. They have all been very friendly and welcoming, especially one member of staff who even took the time to post some settling-in photos of our son on his profile, which really put us at ease seeing how content our son looked. They always inform us of the activities that our son will undertake so we always feel involved. Our son is naturally very shy however has appeared to love every second of his nursery experience so far, getting himself involved far quicker than we ever thought he would and I believe that is down to the staff and their ability to engage the children from the very start. I am able to go to work without worrying about my son whilst he is at nursery. Thank you!

We love Southwater Day Nursery and Pre-school, they have been so warm and welcoming to our daughter.
