View Full Details of Pooh Corner Kindergarten W8Very warm, friendly family-feel environment. Lots of activities to keep the children happy and learning through play and exploration. Wonderful staff. Our son has always been shy, but he has settled really well and enjoys going to nursery every day. He has made great friends.
Excellent. Thank you to the headmistress and another particular member of staff for all the wonderful work you do. Thank you for being so attentive and really making every day an enjoyable experience. Creative and diverse activities.
My daughter’s first month or so at Pooh Corner has been incredible. She loves the teachers and has made friends quickly and easily. The routines mixed with variety keep her interested and engaged and she always comes back with a smile on her face. She is learning phonics, numbers and about different professions quickly and loves the outdoor play and trips she’s already been on. The limited spaces mean that the group is never too big and the children all feel special and attended to. I couldn’t recommend Pooh Corner more for parents looking for a nursery in the area!
My daughter loves going to the nursery. Nursery staff is very friendly. They choose one topic for each week, around which the games and learning activities are structured, that helps her acquire knowledge and understanding of the world and develop her skills. Maths, sports, music, cooking clubs are fun and enjoyable.
The teaching staff have created a really special and welcoming environment - nurturing, caring with a high standard of teaching - and lots of fun. Their dedication to the kids is faultless. We really appreciate the small class size and the ratio of teachers to kids is great. Our son has thrived since joining. We could not be happier with Pooh Corner Kindergarten.
I am beyond grateful to have found Pooh Corner Kindergarten - my daughter is the happiest child and absolutely adores waking up in the morning and running to nursery. The teaching staff is amazing and especially the Head Teacher - she is passionate about teaching and this place feels more like an extended family. A high number of teachers per student means individually care and a high level of learning. Kids have different clubs every afternoon and also Forest School. I feel truly happy that my daughter has spent her first years of learning at PW8.
I have been blown away by the level of care my son has received since starting at Pooh Corner Kindergarten W8. The staff and especially the head show such a high level of care, diligence and commitment. The manager's enthusiasm and devotion to her children are evident from the first meeting, often going above and beyond. My son absolutely adores going. There are a high number of teachers for the group size resulting in a lot of one-to-one care you don't often find. There is also such a broad variety of activities, visiting workshops and day trips going on that my son is always excited about something happening at school that week. We feel genuinely lucky to have stumbled across this gem of a nursery. We only wish we'd found it sooner.
Raising my baby through Covid times has brought a lot of concerns on the moment we will start nursery. Pooh Corner Kindergarten has brought from my first visit the feeling of safety, a homey place and mostly caring staff. An environment that fits a small number of children, it offered me the confidence that even my son who was not very sociable with meeting new faces would enjoy it. And yes, he did! Settling was easy and the plan was very well put together with the headteacher. We are happy with all range of activities from sports, ballet classes and the clubs. Children gain great fine motor skills like recognising sounds and the letters of their name and writing down their names. Creativity skills are well encouraged through painting, while confidence is built up through self-expression up to being able to memorise the roles of a play and staging it in front of parents at the end of the term. I highly recommend Pooh Corner and its wonderful and caring staff.
