View Full Details of Partou Magic Tree Day Nursery & Pre-schoolAn excellent setting with hardworking staff who provide regular updates on progression and activities throughout each day. The app is updated all the time so I can see how my son has spent his day and how he has been cared for while I'm at work. Sometimes I feel I'm missing out on all the fun but it's nice to know he's having a great time while I'm not around.
We have nothing to compare our experience to as this is our first child and therefore first experience of nursery. We are happy with everything we see and the staff are lovely. The only complaints we have is that we still have not had our fingerprint taken to enter the nursery after 6 months of our daughter being there as the system always seems to have broken! And that the online journal is not very regularly updated with photos, compared to what I know in other nurseries from speaking to other parents. However, our daughter enjoys attending and we have noticed positive changes in her. We enjoyed and valued the parent's evening that was held yesterday. Thank you!
The staff here have really work well with my Son, there's always activities set ready for the morning. Not the biggest of rooms for the toddlers but they utilise what they have very well. You can tell the staff really strive to keep things exciting and new for the children. Key person always communicates well and offers great advice where needed.
The staff at Magic Tree Day Nursery & preschool are fantastic with the kids. They are careful to meet individual needs whilst navigating social difficulties with the older children and always felt my child was safe when in the younger stages of the nursery. The work the room staff do with the kids is wonderful and my child has always looked forward to attending. My only complaint is that the staff are not given enough support and time to focus on the communication/documentation side of the role. Specifically, families have noticed that changes in the nursery staffing are announced on social media before communicated to parents via email. And staff are applying for not being able to complete the documentation of observation they have done with the children. I feel some protected time to document/communicate would really benefit the staff and the relationship with parents.
Our son has attended Magic Tree Day Nursery & Preschool for almost 2 years and I cannot fault them. The team work exceptionally hard and always put the needs of the children first. Our son is autistic and they have played a key part in ensuring he gets the right support in preparation for school and went above and beyond to help us get his EHCP. The team are always welcoming and friendly and our son always runs in which shows how much he loves it too. They are very accommodating for his needs and always ensure he feels safe and happy.
My son loves his time at nursery, the staff are very friendly and help him feel settled each morning, not rushing him as he needs time to settle in. They are always happy to answer questions. The food is very good, balanced and healthy, my son often has seconds as he loves it. The activities always have the children's development in mind.
I cannot fault this nursery from my experiences. My son has suspected autism and the staff have been amazing with him, so helpful and always trying their best to support his extra needs. Their facilities are great and they have lots of toys to play with and I notice they always have different activities set out each day to mix it up! You can tell they really care about the children and support the parents. The drops off are hard for my son because of his autism but they are always there ready to welcome him and support him to settle. Then picking up, the handover is great and they always give me an update of what he has been up to! I also love the app they have started using to see daily updates and what food they have had. They also have parents evenings regularly to keep parents informed and to raise any concerns. Great nursery, recommend!
I had massive anxiety about leaving my 9 month old at nursery to return to work but since one member of staff has been the lead in the baby room I have no anxiety whatsoever. My now 13 month old loves going to nursery. I've found the nursery to be very caring with great communication. Wouldn't hesitate to put my daughter in for another day or more per week if needed.
I like the nursery, but recently I've had negative experiences regarding my child. It feels like he's being singled out for minor incidents instead of the staff trying to improve the situation. One day, I received a call with an irritated tone, saying I needed to pick him up because he was "uncontrollable." When I arrived, he was playing peacefully with his friends and was happy to see me, accepting going home without any excuses. The next day, I was asked to pick him up early again, and a staff member commented that if it was too challenging, they would call me to pick him up again. This is unacceptable, as it prepares for a situation that hasn't even occurred and reflects a negative perspective I do not respect. My husband also saw a moment when he dropped him and noticed he was stopped to go outside just because it wasn't his turn. I believe the nursery is focusing on his actions, which may just be reactions to another child's behaviour, as he does not act this way at home.
Magic Tree have been amazing from the start. My little boy has now started pre-school and he loves it, lots of time outside and doing lots of different activities. He's made loads of new friends and is thriving. All the staff are so kind and my son loves them all! Thank you Magic Tree!
I really like Magic Tree. I feel that there have been vast improvements since the management changed and I have absolutely no complaints. Everyone is so friendly and my daughter absolutely loves it. She really enjoys going and she loves all the variety of activities etc. They keep you updated throughout the day with nappies outputs, food etc. and I always feel fully informed about what my daughter has been up to throughout the day.
My child started at the nursery at 9 months old and as a first-time mum I was anxious to leave my son but didn't need to worry as my son absolutely loves going to nursery, he loves all the staff and his milestones were encouraged. His confidence to interact with his peers and staff has made him a happy confident boy. My son is curious about everything and this is encouraged within the nursery setting. Brilliant nursery with an excellent team of staff at all levels.
I am a Foster carer and took on a placement who had barely attended nursery. There were speech and neurological delays and a major lack of social skills. I chose Magic Tree because I liked the atmosphere and I witnessed the nurturing skills and empathy the staff shared with all of the children during my visit. To say my child has come on leaps and bounds is an understatement. He is matching his peers on every level and is growing into a very confident and clever little boy. He has formed fantastic friendships with peers and great relationships with the staff. The staff in the preschool are fantastic, they are caring, nurturing and supportive. The current management team is outstanding. A particular member of staff has definitely found her calling! I would highly recommend the Magic Tree to anyone looking for a safe, fun and fulfilling learning experience for their little ones. My child has made friends for life but he will definitely miss the staff when moving to primary. As will I.
I'm really happy with the care and progress of my daughter since starting in the Preschool room. Her confidence and development have improved tremendously. We love seeing her progress on the app and love to hear about her day from the lovely staff in the nursery. She comes home excited and buzzing after a full day of nursery and loves to tell us about her day.
I am happy with my child’s progress at Magic Tree. She is always happy to attend the nursery and asks to go even on the days she doesn’t attend. I feel that she has good bonds with the staff members and they are all very professional.
My son has been attending Magic Tree since he was 18 months old, he is now 2 years 9 months and throughout has enjoyed his time at the nursery. He is creating beautiful bonds with the staff in the toddler room and forming lovely friendships, he has particularly thrived the past 6 months developmentally since the environment changes and exploring new resources supporting his learning and interests. Additionally, the management team are great at communicating about any opportunities, events and information for us as parents and for our children and are always welcoming and happy to help.
My son loves his time at Magic Tree! The staff are always friendly, provide excellent handovers about my son’s day and I can tell that they genuinely care for and about him. The activities they provide have aided his learning and opened up his imagination.
My son has been attending Magic Tree from the age of 18 months all the way through to preschool age where he is now. He has progressed well in his learning and development. He always has a good time and likes to tell us all about his friends at the end of the day when we collect him. Magic Tree supported us through every room transition and through all phases of development. There was a period of time when staff turnover was high and communication lacked but it seems more stable now.
Having had the experience of a different nursery with my eldest child I am really disappointed with Magic Tree. My daughter has attended for nearly 2 years and has hardly any info/photos on the online learning book. I have never had any ‘review of development’. The staff are more interested in cleaning at the end of the day than speaking to parents about their child’s day. My daughter only comes home with dirty clothes from her nappy leaking rather than having fun! I was invited to one parents' evening and raised my concerns and was told things would improve with the new manager. She’s long gone already! There’s such a high turnover of staff that nothing ever improves. Would not recommend and would move my daughter if anywhere else had a space.
My daughter absolutely loves coming to Magic Tree Day Nursery Yate, the staff are amazing and my daughter's key worker is incredible. The staff always communicate so well with updates, and when I pick my daughter up they always give me a really detailed rundown of her day. I have complete trust in all the staff at Magic Tree and I with the new management change recently it’s 100% improved the nursery. I would recommend Magic Tree to any parents and I’m really looking forward to my son starting in September. Thank you so much to all staff.
