View Full Details of Almond House NurseryMy daughter recently joined Almond House. The quality of care that has been provided along with the attention to detail to the progression of my daughter has been outstanding. Kind and friendly staff are transparent with details of what my daughter has been up to during the day, her diet and fluid intake and naps. As a parent my mind has been put at ease with the regular updates and photos that are uploaded to the app and the attention to detail involved in changing activities throughout the day. Additionally, through the app parents are provided with activity ideas heading into the weekend which is great for when you are stuck for something to do and provides a familiar topic for our little ones to discuss as a topic of conversation and interaction. Could not recommend Almond House more!
My daughter has attended since she was nine months old (she is now nearly four). I’m so proud of the person she is turning into, and I know the massive part Almond House has played. Thanks again for everything - can't recommend it enough.
My girl goes here (my eldest son used to). She loves the staff, activities and the food! The building is very homely. The staff are really friendly and caring and give regular updates. I’d really recommend it.
Almond House look after my son and do a great job. A variety of activities, friendly staff and an amazing variety of meals weekly help my little boy explore new tastes and foods. It’s helpful with work, seeing what he has been doing throughout the day and all the different activities he has taken part in.
My 3 year old son has been going to Almond House Nursery for a year now, one day a week when I attend Uni. Yesterday, I picked him up, and he ran to me for a cuddle. As soon as I picked him up, I smelt poo. His Nappy was absolutely caked in faeces, to the point it was all up his back. I laid him down to clean him straight away and again, he was red raw, crying and wriggling in pain as I wiped off the poo, to the point I had to ask the staff for a bowl of cool water to clean him. You can imagine the pain of a red raw bum/scrotum, and being wiped with baby wipes. He was screaming saying "mummy put some cream on" He was crying, I was crying!! Got him home, 'naked from the waist down, as he was too sore to re-dress'. I told the nursery to cancel the contract with immediate effect and my son will not be going back. It is such a shame because most of the staff are lovely, but just proves they have too many children in this 'care setting', to provide adequate care to the children.
Our boy has been attending Almond House for just over six months now, and he absolutely loves it. The staff are friendly and kind; they give regular updates through the app and are more than happy to chat more in detail about what he’s been up to that day at drop off and pick up. I really feel that they care about him, which is lovely. We’ve always struggled to get our son to nap, which was a concern for us, but they manage where we fail. He rarely naps at home now but still usually naps at nursery! The food is top-notch and varied too, which is wonderful, as we try to eat well at home, so it’s nice that he’s getting nutritious, homemade food at nursery too. I was lucky enough to sample some of the food at an open day in the spring and was really impressed. Since starting at Almond House, our relatives and friends have also noticed that our son is much more sociable too, happier to go to them, and much more confident.
Both my children go to Almond House. My little boy was under two when he started, and he is four this year. They have been fantastic with him and us as parents and very supportive. They've adapted to my son to make his time there comfortable and enjoyable. (My son is SEN) I couldn't have received more support and guidance, and I continue to do so. My little girl, who has also just turned two, also goes to this nursery now, and we've already noticed a difference in her speech and social interactions. They both love going to the nursery, and the staff are very professional, knowledgeable and supportive. Thanks, Almond House.
My eldest son was born in 2020 and started at Almond House in 2021. We chose to send him to nursery because, as a lockdown baby, he had no outside interactions with other children for the first year of his life. In the two years he has been there, he has gained so much confidence and has helped massively with his social skills. He loves the staff who work there and always comes home a happy little boy!
A wonderful nursery! Our daughter is in her last few weeks now before she starts school and has had a great few years here. All the staff are super helpful and friendly and have given a great start to our daughter's education and social skills. I 100% recommend.
My little boy is the fantastic, clever and curious child he is because of the staff at Almond House. They offer him the best experience possible, and I couldn't recommend them enough. I love seeing the daily pictures and am jealous of the fabulous food he eats there. He is happy there, and as a Mum, that makes me feel happy and reassured I made the best choice in sending him to Almond House.
My two daughters love Almond House and all the staff (especially two members of staff) they are so excited to go and have formed amazing friendships. The chef makes fabulous fresh food daily and even has time to occasionally spoil the parents with yummy cakes too!
My little girl goes to Almond House and absolutely loves it. She is thriving there and has come on leaps and bounds in her development, always able to tell me about her day. Great relationship with the staff and the beautiful food she eats at the nursery. It’s a big thing to choose a nursery for your little one to go to, to be in someone else’s care, but I couldn’t have chosen better. Regular updates on how she is getting on in the room and observations and photos are regularly sent.
Have sent both our boys to Almond House, our youngest has just started, and the staff have been amazing. Put our minds at ease, and he is so happy! What an amazing team and facilities! The parent-staff relationship cannot be faulted - communication, updates and photos are always delivered at such a high standard.
100% recommend! My little boy's face lights up when I ask him if he’s going to nursery today and he’s always full of smiles and happy to go to the staff members. They are really lovely with him and he seems to share a bond with a good amount of the staff here.
My little boy has been at Almond House Nursery for just over a year now and he has developed so much with his development, learning and speech and this has been supported by his time at the nursery. He has built great relationships with all of the staff who work there and happily walks into nursery each morning, happy to be there and never has any issues. Thank you for looking after my little boy.
My child has been at this nursery for a few months now, and I’ve absolutely loved it! I appreciate the regular updates and photos of my child’s day using the Famly app (including how much of their meal they ate, times of nappy changes and if it was wet or dirty, how long and when they had a nap etc.) and my child seems happy and comfortable with the staff. One of the highlights of the nursery is their chef. Every week he creates a diverse and nutritious menu for the children. Some of my favourite meals include: kid friendly sushi, stir fry with noodles, tofu nuggets, many different pasta dishes and lots more! My kid has come back from nursery with newly learned songs and even a new baby sign for water! If I had to say one negative (and that’s a hard task) I’d say it’s unfortunate that they don’t do term time places for children who don’t get free childcare hours. As a parent who studies, I’d love the option to have my kid at home for half term.
My daughter has been attending Pre school at Almond House Nursery since February. She has settled in really quickly thanks to the amazing caring, fun and professional staff. Her education is a priority and she is exposed to lots of different experiences and opportunities too. I would highly recommend this nursery.
My baby and toddler both attend Almond House and I can’t recommend it highly enough. All the staff are very professional and committed to helping each child’s personal development. The daily updates and photos via the app are fantastic. Especially for parents who are unsure about leaving their babies for the first time.
My daughter has been coming here for a year now and her communication skills and emotional development have improved greatly. The staff are really knowledgeable and go above and beyond for the children, always coming up with new creative ideas to help the children learn. I feel very safe sending my daughter here. It is very clean and there are a great deal of learning tools and toys for the children to interact with.
Originally put this nursery on our shortlist due to location the fact their sister nursery was Ofsted outstanding. This was the first nursery we visited and as soon as we walked through the door we felt it was right, my partner was a nursery nurse so is ultra sceptical so Almond House had to hit high standards to satisfy her. They have definitely met those standards and we have been more than happy with my child's progress and happiness. Due to go to school this year and I know he will miss this place and that’s a credit to the staff. And the chef, wow, if only I could get my son to eat like that at home, all in all a Great setting with great staff
