View Full Details of Wellington School NurseryMy grandson had a very positive experience attending Wellington Nursery for 2 years. He developed from a little boy very reluctant to leave mum to a well-balanced child ready for the challenges of PI. Staff soon develop a bond with each child and a rapport with parents. The outdoor experience with a walk is character building and creates an alternative learning experience with appreciation of our surroundings and how things grow and investigating living creatures. The nursery provides carefully planned learning experiences a love of books is nurtured and opportunities are given for a variety of craft experiences. The children learn how to work and play independently and as part os a team. Altogether Wellington Nursey is a happy start to education.
I am more than delighted with the experience my son has had at Wellington Nursery over the past two years. He is developing his understanding and experiences with nature. He has detailed knowledge of the solar system and our planet. He is encouraged to be inquisitive and the staff alway satisfy his thirst for learning. He is able to do simple maths addition and enjoys trying to add simple sums. He is very confident and has had the opportunity to perform in shows and concerts. There are sports classes, language clubs, singing lessons and swimming lessons. He has a voice and his opinion and desires matter. The staff show true care for my son and I (like he), look forward to the next adventure the staff have planned for them. Excellent nursery and very caring staff.
My daughter just turned 3 years old and started in January. She has loved everything about Wellington Nursery, all her teachers, friends and the activities. Although she only attends 5 mornings she packs a lot into her time. I have experienced quite a few nurseries in Ayrshire and Glasgow but Wellington definitely comes up trumps! Well done on the HMIE inspection too. Hard working team that deserve great results. Most importantly happy children.
My daughter has hugely benefited from the care and support she has received. She goes swimming each week which is fantastic. She attends the outdoor nursery. This is an important part of early learning as children stay inside too much on computers and don't enjoy the physical, health and learning benefits of outdoors enough. Muddy boots and overalls are all part of this and great experience learning about 'wee beasties' and the changing seasons etc. The main nursery is full of lots to stimulate the children and keep them occupied, with great care and support from wonderful teachers. Lunch is normally always eaten and a healthy varied menu on offer including healthy snacks. Various events throughout the year offer great memories such as sports day and the nativity. Stay and play days mean you can see your children play and see what they get up to. I would thoroughly recommend Wellington School Nursery to anyone.
