View Full Details of Little Cubs Academy Greenwich Nursery & Pre-SchoolMy son has been in the baby room since he was 6 months old, and he's now nearly 1. I can't say how amazing it's been to find LCA and have them as part of his life. I was really anxious about going back full time, had a lot of mum guilt and the whole team from the outset have loved him and looked after him so well that we've never looked back. Every day when I drop him off he's so happy to see the team and I can see how much all the kids are adored. The app they use is updated brilliantly and we get to see all the amazing things he's up to, most of which I would never do at home even if I was a full time mum! I can see how good the environment has been for his development and how much love and care all the babies get. The reality of so many parents now is we can't be with our kids as much as we'd like, so knowing they have the best care means the world.
I found searching for a nursery for my eldest daughter so overwhelming. The moment I spoke with the owners of Little Cubs Academy I knew this was our nursery. They were so supportive in answering all my questions and offered such a holistic approach to child care. My eldest ended up being diagnosed with autism whilst at Little Cubs, but even before she had her diagnosis, they went above and beyond to not only support her and personalise her learning, but they supported the other children in understanding why she might not join in with something or why she wasn't talking. We had meetings to update me on her progress. They were a huge part in getting her funding and an EHCP so that when she left and went onto school she would have the support she needed. They helped her become such a confident little girl. Sending my younger daughter there was a no-brainer. She is absolutely thriving there and it's nice to have confidence and peace knowing she has a wonderful day every time she goes!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience at Little Cubs. Our child started at 12 months in bears where the room staff were amazing helping him and us settle in and work on some of his early milestones. He is now 2.5 and goes so happily into nursery everyday and comes home talking about his friends and the staff and what he's done that day. At home he role plays his favourite nursery activities like circle time and helpers of the day. The staff are wonderful, so knowledgeable about child development, very kind and caring and they create and impressively calm environment with lots of fun and learning. There are lots of outings to the park and local sights. A very special place.
Our daughter started at Little Cubs Academy when she was 18 months and she's going there very happy single morning. The teachers have been amazing and care so much about the kids. We really appreciate the time they take at the end of the day explaining what she's done and how she's been. They set up different activities every day and they learn by playing - we get regular updates throughout the day with many pictures and small reports, observations and milestones' achievement. We also have 1-to-1 sessions once a year but you can always approach the teacher if you want to have a 1-to-1 conversation if there is something that concerns you. They also do lots of outings to the library, the museum, the playground, the local park, and the riverside. They also go out on half-day trips (older kids: 2yr-4yr): boats and visit the London landmarks, taking the bus to nearby towns, the local farm and a trip on the cable car. We would 100% recommend it to anyone.
Little Cubs Academy has been an incredible part of our daughter's early years, shaping her growth and development from the Bears group through preschool. The staff's dedication, professionalism, and warmth create an environment where children thrive. Activities are thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity, from themed arts and crafts to outside adventures. The outings are equally exceptional, including visits to the local farms and the museums that broaden horizons. These experiences have fostered our daughter's confidence, creativity, and love for learning. Little Cubs Academy's holistic approach prioritizes both cognitive and emotional development, with tailored teaching that recognizes each child's unique needs. Communication with parents is excellent! Celebrations of milestones, from daily recognitions to larger observations, make every child feel special. As we reflect on our journey, we are deeply grateful to Little Cubs Academy for their outstanding commitment to our daughter's success.
Overall we have had a very positive experience. Found the nursery through a local mother and baby social media group, as there were a few parents who had children enrolled there. Great communication, curriculum, and activities. We love that they spend a lot of time outside, visit the library, and do another trip out.
My daughter has been at Little Cubs since she was 11 months old and I can honestly say there hasn't been a single negative experience since she's been attending. The staff have been fantastic throughout each stage of my daughter's progression. The communication between the staff and parents is fantastic with regular updates throughout the day and thorough observations of milestones and achievements. Most importantly my little girl has thrived and always leaves her setting having had a lovely day with her friends and carers. The bar has been set very high, we will be very sad when we have to move to primary school but I know for sure she will be very well prepared!
I am truly so happy with the Little Cubs Nursery and would recommend it to anyone. It is relatively small, so I feel like I know all the teachers which makes it very familiar for both me and my two children. They always take the time for an extensive handover at the end of the day and leave room for questions. I also love that they regularly go out to the park, playground, museum or library. Every morning new activities are set up very nicely, with a good balance between playing and learning. As a parent, we get regular updates throughout the day, with lots of pictures and small reports of observations.
A fabulous place that really stands out amongst many of the options in Greenwich. We chose it because it is one of the few that are family-owned. We were very happy with our decision and would not hesitate to recommend.
My child spent many happy years of their life at the nursery. He made many friends, and the parent community was wonderful. Moving from overseas was challenging, as we had to start afresh, but we had nothing to worry about. The nursery set him up for school, where he continues to flourish. Thanks, Little Cubs Academy!
Choosing this nursery for our daughter was certainly a great decision. We were in awe of how much my little girl flourished and grew to love the daily day trips and her key workers. Another highlight was the open and prompt communication throughout her time there. The updates on her daily activities were constant and we truly felt included in her routine. We only left because we had to change neighbourhoods, but I would definitely have stayed if that was an option. Massive thanks to the staff for the incredible work that you do.
Great nursery, the staff is very caring and helpful. I can track the daily development of my child, see pictures, know that he is eating and quantity. I also received artwork done by my little one to keep them as memories.
A wonderful nursery! Our son was moved from another nursery before he joined Little Cubs and the difference was like night and day. Can not recommend the team, the care, the curriculum and the trips any more.
First of all I want to highlight that the room team is pretty great, they do ensure that children are active and safe. There are a few things that did not work well for us and probably could be improved: _[1]_ We had only a few days of settling period and it was quite tough for our toddler. Our request to extend the settling period has been refused and there are not a lot of opportunities for mums to spend some extra time with the kid inside the nursery. _[2]_ Nursery has a lot of marketing on the website about outdoor activities and nature. Unfortunately we had only a couple of hours in the park/playground every other day. Sometimes outdoor activities were cancelled due to bad weather. This was a bummer for us, taking into account that nursery has quite a modest 'outdoor-ish area' and is located near stone interior production facilities. _[3]_ We stopped attending nursery after three months (April-June) and we've been charged for +1.5 month notice that we have not attended. Ouch.
Our daughter started Little Cubs at a fairly early age - 5 months - so we were naturally very nervous, however very quickly we discovered not only that the nursery was a fantastic place for her to spend her days and develop her personality, but also that quite soon after starting, she practically begged to be handed over (though she was naturally very happy to see us at pick up!) She has developed into a really kind and sharing, caring sort and it's in no small part due to the atmosphere at Little Cubs. We were kept very much informed of all her activities via the app, with lots of lovely photos to make it feel like we weren't missing anything, which was super to see as it helped us also choose complementary activities for her at home. We also loved seeing the food that was prepared for the children and the - frankly amazing - menu that varied with the seasons. I think you'd find it hard to find better nutrition for your kid than here.
Our son has been attending Little Cubs for the last 2 years and always loves going to the nursery (even on weekends he would be ready with his shoes on). The staff takes very good care and always keeps them involved with loads of activities and learning games. The best part is that they get to go on lots of outdoor adventures (almost daily) to the museum, park, library and even the supermarket. He has become very independent and loves to learn new things. The daily communication from the nursery is phenomenal and you always know what the kids have been up to through the day. We couldn't recommend this nursery enough.
Our daughter has just ‘graduated’ from Little Cubs, moving to a new nursery at just over 3 years old. She was at Little Cubs full time since 5 months old. The nursery is absolutely fantastic - a homely feel, all the staff care deeply about the children, there are lots of cuddles and high fives at the gates and our daughter always went in and came out with a smile. The development and educational side was great too - our girl loves books, dinosaurs and space, and knows that is important to be kind, take turns and share. Thank you so much, Little Cubs, could not have done it without you!
My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time at Little Cubs Nursery and Preschool, reaching so many milestones along the way which the staff have greatly supported. They have done a great job of reinforcing anything that we implement at home with him, they are truly nurturing and every person who has taken care of him has taken the time to understand his behaviour and personality. They have provided invaluable support consistently from when he first started a few years ago, and have always been great at communicating his progress, any issues, and suggesting ways we can support him further at home. They always go the extra mile and I am so grateful to all of the staff at Little Cubs. I highly recommend their nursery!
Our child has been enrolled in Little Cubs for 4 months. We have had a very positive experience. The nursery came recommended to us, and we have been very happy with our decision. The staff have been amazing and our child seems to have settled in very well and made some good friends.
My child started when she was only 9 months old. She has been attending this amazing nursery for almost 1 year. The staff is amazing, they’re really lovely. I would write every single name of the staff who looked after my child but I would not have enough space. The use of the app is brilliant and the photos of the day kept me posted for every single activity they had. The kitchen cuisine is fresh and the space for playing is cosy and clean.
