I could not recommend The Old School House at Middleton enough. My daughter absolutely loves it there, and has developed so well. The team could not have done more to get her settled and adapted into nursery life at the outset, and provided such amazing care to help her transition. They have also done this as she's moved up age groups too. Their days are filled with a rich range of activities, with lots of outdoor time especially in the warmer months. They also include a good range of extra curricular activities and the daily menu is always nutritious and well balanced. We've been really impressed with the running of the nursery, organisation and management and feel really well informed. I am so glad that we chose this nursery and very highly recommend.

My son started at Middleton in May in the Robins room. I was really nervous and anxious about leaving him due to another nursery not providing the right care for him but the settling-in sessions really helped. I was sent lots of photos of his settle sessions and I still am sent photos of him now during the day. The staff know my little boy inside out and knows when he isn't himself etc, it feels like an addition to our family. I am kept up to date on his progress and have 1 observation a week (he attends 2 full days). The app is always kept up to date so I know how he's eaten and slept that day. Whenever I drop my son off the staff are always smiley and friendly which he responds to with big smiles. It really helps that transition more for me being an anxious parent. I just want my little boy happy and I know he really is at this nursery!

Our daughter has been going here since just before she turned one and we couldn't be happier with every aspect of the nursery. The staff are caring and enthusiastic, and the environment for the children is spectacular. We love hearing about the activities they do each day and the friendships that they form. Our daughter not only loves going here but learns so much too.

My twin daughters have been attending this nursery for 6 months and I couldn’t be any happier. The ease in process and attention to detail have been unmatched. I would always recommend The Old School House to anyone nervous about their little one starting nursery. Our children’s key worker takes so much time with the comments and daily bits of feedback. My girls both love her and always look forward to going to nursery.

Absolutely lovely nursery, a fantastic ethos towards learning/outdoor play and education, the only nursery I have found with the perfect balance. Great fresh cooked meals and extra curriculum activities are all excellent. Any concerns or questions I have had for the nursery have always been addressed and answered. Overall very very good.

The nursery is excellent. We are very happy with the care being offered to our child. The staff keep in contact with us frequently throughout the day through an app. Staff always make time to discuss how our child’s day has been and their progress. The care is very personalised to the individual child, which we are very happy with. Staff are happy to cuddle children to sleep if this is what they need, for example. The food served to our child is excellent, the variety is great, and the food is all home-cooked and nutritious. We regularly receive observations from our child’s key worker to update us on new skills our child is developing. Overall, an excellent nursery, and we would recommend it to parents.

Our experience with The Old School House was nothing short of amazing and we would recommend this nursery to anyone. My little girl started there when she was just 6 months old and recently left to go to school, my son also attended from when he was 2 until he left for school. They had the best learning environment and still often talk about nursery. They provide exciting activities which are showcased on the Famly app keeping you updated throughout the day and the staff really do go above and beyond. My children’s keyworkers through each room really were outstanding and it made it so much easier leaving them knowing they were in good hands with people who truly care.

The Old School House Day Nursery has been fantastic for our little one. They have gone over and above to help her progress in areas that she needs help in and we have seen her come on leaps and bounds. She loves going, and eats her food! Enjoys pyjama drama and pony therapy. We're so glad we chose this nursery. Detailed updates on the app, coffee hut for parents, forestry school, and beautiful setting and can't praise them enough.

Our daughter attended The Old School House in Middleton until May 2023, when we moved to Australia. In our opinion, we could not have found a better place for our daughter to attend, from the countryside setting to the staff, to the activities, to the friends she made. It was all fantastic (and made it impossible to find a new nursery as none live up to TOSH!). I think I cried every drop-off and pick-up for the 2-3 weeks before we left knowing just how much she loved every moment of being there, and how much she was going to miss it. Thank you to the team. I can not speak highly enough of them and the positive impact they had on our daughter.

My daughter has been at The Old School House Day Nursery since she was 8 months old. She has thrived in each of the rooms but especially in preschool. My daughter has built lovely bonds with all of the staff, they know her inside out and keep me updated throughout the day with what she has eaten and how she has been. She will talk fondly of the staff in her room and will talk about the extracurricular activities that are provided every day. My daughter can now write her own name independently which I was amazed at. I can not thank the staff enough at The Old School House for all of their amazing work and care. I will be very sad when she has to go to school in September and leave this wonderful setting.

From the minute we were shown around, I knew this nursery was a hidden little gem. My daughter loves being outdoors, and the facilities and outdoor space here is perfect. I can’t fault anything about my experience, the staff are just amazing and are a real credit to the nursery. My daughter has started to settle so well in such a short space of time. It’s really comforting how well the staff get to know your child on such a personal level. We are kept well informed throughout the day by the team on what my daughter gets up to, and as an anxious mommy sending her to nursery for the first time, this is such a lovely touch. The meals provided are just amazing, and all the activities they plan throughout the day gives me comfort knowing she is having fun and learning. I would definitely recommend it to other parents who are looking for a nursery that really goes above and beyond.

After the first look around by the lovely manager, I knew this was the perfect nursery for my little boy. The only way I can describe this nursery is as a retreat for the children. Everything has an earthy/nature-like element with the activities both indoors and outdoors. They play tranquil music for the children and the meals are absolutely amazing. Since starting, my child has been supported every step of the way and is starting to settle really well with his key worker and other children within his setting. I am at ease knowing he is learning, having fun and feeling safe at The Old School House, I would definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a nursery that offers something a little bit different but personal to your child and their needs. The staff are always around with any queries and I’m updated throughout the day about what my child is up to. They even have a coffee cart outside which helps with those early mornings!

There is so much to write about how wonderful this nursery is. It's been nothing but great from the start, beginning with the lovely manager making us feel most welcome and reassuring us on every level, which is great when leaving your little one for the very first time, she really is a great asset to the nursery, always happy and helpful nothing is ever a problem, she's just very caring and my grandson thinks she's lovely. My grandson's key worker is again reassuring us with my grandson's nursery updates daily, she takes time to care and listen to any worries you may have when my grandson's unsettled, assuring us he's been happy and settled. Both the key workers really are golden, as I'm sure the rest of the staff are, the nursery is a wonderful little haven for all children to enjoy, learn and play. When we ask my grandson who his friends are at nursery he says his key workers.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was eight months old and is turning three in January. She has thrived throughout the whole time; she amazes me every day with what she learns and how she knows how to do certain things. The staff are nothing but amazing - they support you through everything. They've helped through milestones and supported my decisions with potty training and not having a dummy anymore, which made the whole process easier. My daughter is always happy to go to the nursery and loves all of the staff. All in all, I couldn't recommend this nursery more! It's so unique and so different in so many amazing ways. It's not your standard average nursery; it's so, so, so much more. I promise you won't be disappointed. Im so glad I chose this as the place for my child - there are closer nurseries to me, but I prefer to travel 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back for a reason.

Since my daughter had her little girl, we viewed quite a few nurseries and couldn't find the right one until we viewed The Old School House. It's so unique and in such a beautiful setting with a homely feel to it. My granddaughter has really come out of her shell and her confidence has grown in such a short time. The staff are so friendly when I come to collect or drop her off, nothing is too much trouble and I can always message through the app which is really helpful, thank you again to The Old School House!

We are incredibly happy with our experience at the Day House Nursery. Our son is always happy to go and has excelled in his communication and speech since attending. The staff are always friendly and the nursery is always clean and tidy. The hours and additional events/activities the nursery run are fantastic. We would happily recommend this nursery to friends and family.

My kids have been with the nursery since they opened and I honestly couldn't think of anywhere else as good as The Old School House. All of the staff have been like family to us and are so supportive. We will be so upset when they both go off to school. Thank you to everyone at The Old School House for helping my little ones grow.

We cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The whole ethos of the setting is incredible and nurtures our childrens development fully. The staffs skills and knowledge of the early years curriculum is outstanding and the range of activities on offer are engaging and exciting. We cannot thank you enough for all you have done for our children.

I would highly recommend the nursery. The staff are very helpful and communicate very well. I wish I had brought my child here earlier. In the three months that my child has attended, he has developed so much. His behaviour and personality have grown so much. Thank you to everyone at the nursery.

My childs experience of The Old School House Day Nursery has been an excellent one. He settled quickly and easily. He soon made a good connection with his key worker and clearly, all the staff knew him and welcomed him when he arrived on the first day and every day. My child was supported to develop his own interests and ideas and given many opportunities to play, learn and grow.
