View Full Details of Keren's Nursery Holland ParkOur son was 15 months when he joined Keren's. He attends full time from 8am till 4pm sometimes 5pm if our work day overruns. We couldn't be happier with Keren's. The development we've seen in him - from all the things he's learned at the nursery - has been so brilliant. He's grown in confidence with other kids and adults. We get daily updates with a photo or two and a message, and like the fact the nursery is full of very happy energy. Also the management staff couldn't be more helpful and caring. We got great vibes from this place when we first visited and after 6 months of attending we're so glad we chose Keren's for our son's first experience of a place outside of home. On Fridays the nursery closes earlier, initially this felt a bit unusual but I like the fact that we get a long weekend with him. Keren's really does feel like a home away from home.
Dedicated team. Both practitioners and management are amazing. Every member of staff knows all of the children, Even the children that are in different rooms. Wonderful communication daily! When they first start at the nursery regular updates are given throughout the session, even if they are having a rough morning the staff are always messaging to reassure once my child has settled down. After settling in, a daily message is sent to tell me how much my child has eaten, toileting and if they have slept. Alongside a lovely long feedback on what my child has been exposed to that day. Independence is encouraged daily throughout my child's routine which is amazing to see at home. Can't thank the staff enough for making me and my child feel seen every single day.
Can't think of a better nursery environment for our children. Incredible team with a strong passion for their job, raising confident independent children! The children are engaged in age-appropriate activities but are always pushed and challenged to learn further. It does really feel like an extension of home! Thank you.
We've been with Keren's Holland Park for over four years now - our son spent 3 and a half years there and now our daughter is there too. Both our kids loved/love going there every day. All staff care for the children together, even though each group has its own set of teachers. They give them lots of cuddles and love and thoughtful interaction. I don't ever worry about my kids and know that they are in safe hands. Great communication with the management at all levels, and easy communication with the teachers. Food is healthy, activities are very varied and they go outside every day as long as the weather permits. Fantastic teachers in the older group that interact with the kids as equals and treat them as big kids. I checked 7 nurseries in the area before I felt comfortable leaving my son anywhere, including all the 'best' ones in and around Notting Hill. What stands out with this nursery is that it is genuine and a home away from home. If you want your child to feel loved and cared for, this is the place!
We have two children at Keren's in Holland Park and have been very happy with our experience throughout. Our son first started attending the nursery during the pandemic months, and the level of care and attention afforded to us during the settling-in process was exceptional, especially considering the challenges of the pandemic. We have been so thankful for the level of support provided to us as our children have grown and developed over the years - from supporting first words and gross motor development in the younger nursery setting, working with us hand in hand during our potty training journey with a younger toddler, to encouraging verbal and maths skills in the pre-school group. More generally, there is an absolutely lovely community surrounding the nursery - from the caring and nurturing teachers and committed management to the security guards who know all parents and children on a first-name basis. Thank you Keren's!
Both of my kids have been at Keren's Nursery since they turned one. If you are looking for a warm and nurturing place where they will feel loved, motivated to try new things and enthusiastic about their days - this is it. The nursery became our extended family and we cherish the teachers and community so much.
Keren's Nursery is a wonderful, warm and loving nursery which my child loves to go to every morning. Every day the kids are exposed to enriching activities such as sport, forest school, baking, music, science experiments etc. My older one grew up there, and I had no doubt that my younger one will attend there too. The staff members love the kids so much, and there is no such pleasure as watching your kid running every morning to their arms and getting welcomed with hugs and kisses. There is a great flexibility with the daily time windows and the price change accordingly, as other nurseries in the area gives the option for morning and/or afternoon sessions. I highly recommend this nursery! There is no doubt it is the best in the area!
Professionals, Good care, You feel at home. Family environment, Good activities, Amazing outside activities and little trips. Very clean nursery, Good communication, Good facilities, Amazing teachers, Healthy food.
We put our first child in Keren's Nursery after our good friends told us how pleased they were with their experience there. We couldn't be happier we did. The staff at Keren's are so kind and caring and show true compassion for the well-being of the children. The curriculum is incredibly thoughtful and if you have any concerns about your child's development, they take them very seriously and work with you to create a plan to support your child's needs. The food is healthy and varied and they take all precautions to ensure the safety of children with allergies. They have a wide array of fun activities for the kids every single day, and they send group as well as individual updates on the kids' days, every day. The children love their teachers and their time spent at nursery. Again, we couldn't be happier with our choice to send our daughter to Keren's, and with one on the way, we'll want to send him there, too.
Our kids love Keren's Nursery. They started in the baby room and run in everyday beaming. We've seen their confidence and independence develop over the last 3 years and believe the care, attention and activities organised by Keren's teachers have contributed greatly to this. We love the variety of activities offered, the focus on learning and celebrating cultures around the world, and in particular the focus on nature (planting seeds, baby chicks, animal visits) and outdoor activities, with tennis and forest school the highlights for us. The nursery also has plenty of outdoor space: an alley, garden area and use of the large private square across the road. We love getting daily reports and pictures and seeing updates on the app. The nursery closes early on Fridays, during a few Jewish holidays and a couple of weeks over summer, Christmas and Easter, however, a calendar is provided in advance. It can be challenging as working parents, but we see it as good preparation for school!
Keren’s nursery is incredibly welcoming and nurturing for children and parents. We have had our 2 children at Keren’s (our daughter is still attending) and have had a great experience. The space is divided in 3 levels occupied by different age groups. There is a strong educational focus especially in the older age groups where children learn to write their names and develop social skills or for the younger ones, be potty trained. There are many events throughout the year where parents are invited to attend and where staff puts a lot of effort to prepare. There are additional days off during Jewish holidays and Fridays are short days (ending at 12:30 in winter and 2:00 pm in summer) but there is no half-term break which somewhat makes up for it. Communication with management has been very good so overall, we feel that our children are safe and taken care of at Keren’s and would definitely recommend.
I highly recommend the nursery for early education as it provides a nurturing environment for my two kids. The forest school activities engage their curiosity and foster their love for nature, promoting a holistic learning experience. The tennis sessions not only teach them physical coordination but also promote teamwork and discipline. The opportunity for them to play together in a safe and supervised setting encourages socialization and helps develop their communication skills. The nursery's focus on stimulating the kids' minds through various activities ensures their cognitive growth and prepares them for future academic challenges. Overall, it's a fantastic place that prioritizes the well-rounded development of young children.
Like all parents, my child is my soul and leaving her anywhere was always hard. But when we leave her at Keren, whatever the mood, we feel safe, and she is happy and learns so much. It is perfect. She learns a ton, she is outside, she feels safe, she loves her teachers. Best judgment!
High turnover of staff; Use of outside agency to cover staff needs which translates into new faces coming every few weeks making kids frustrated. The permanent staff is inexperienced. Quarterly development reports are poorly written and very vague. Poor communication of what kids ate or did every day (it seems like repeating the same report every day). Space for kids' naps is not proper. The nursery could be closed for some extra days during September and October because of Jewish holidays (the nursery is located in a Synagogue). For these extra days the nursery is closed, the monthly fee remains the same and no care is taken by the nursery to offer some other venue for these days. Fees are increased annually by 10% but the quality of services remains the same or gets worse.
