View Full Details of King's Hawford NurseryExcellent facilities and setting. A lovely nurturing and caring environment, with passionate staff who take pride in their learning activities with the children. Hawford Kingergarten ticks the right balance between being a separate nursery and including the children in the school's wider timetable of events and classes (ie children's mental health week, charity events, etc.) Whilst not being too overwhelming. My husband went to Kings Hawford and wanted our child to go too... So they must be doing something right to stand the test of time!
Having seen how much my child has progressed and flourished here. It's clear to me that Hawford is an outstanding nursery worthy of the most fulsome praise. The incredible facilities are cleverly designed curriculum, marked with attentive and caring staff, creating a fantastic experience for the children. I will have no hesitation in sending my other children here.
Our daughter has recently started KG1 in September and within that short space of time, she has already grown in confidence and learned so much. She loves swimming, having craft time, and also took part in a nativity show last week. The staff are really lovely and very informative.
Our daughter (aged 2) has thrived since being at Hawford. The staff, opportunities, activities, and facilities are second to none and we are excited to continue the Hawford journey. Thank you.
The staff are so kind and caring, the facilities are outstanding and our daughter is so happy and content.
The facilities and activities are second to none, including swimming twice a week. The teachers all seem to be long-established and experienced. My little girl settled in within a day, no tears at drop off, at her last nursery she still cried every morning!
I have seen so much progress in the child I care for, he absolutely loves coming to the nursery. His speech and confidence are amazing and a lot of it is down to the wonderful staff at Kings Hawford. There are so many opportunities for the children. I would highly recommend.
My son aged 2 started King's Hawford in September and has absolutely thrived from being there. He loves going and has no issues waving me off. The staff are all so warm and welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure he has a great day by the huge amount of activities they do throughout the days, whether that's swimming, forest school, going to see the onsite animals and not forgetting the real bus that is their library, which also is on the grounds of the school. I couldn't recommend them enough, such a wonderful place to kick start his education. Thank you.
We absolutely love the following about our child's nursery: Focus on play Outdoor play Messy play Amazing facilities such as bark outdoor play area and swimming pool Committed staff Great communication from staff Amazing food supplied throughout the day Children treat each other kindly Good polite manners taught Overall an amazing experience, an environment which our child has thrived in.
My grandson joined the nursery at Hawford School when he was 2. Immediately they picked up on the fact he wasn’t talking at the same level as his peers and quickly put in place support. Fast forward 18 months and my grandson is now more vocal and has come on leaps and bounds. He very much enjoys his time at nursery and has made some lovely friends. We are sad that his time at nursery is coming to an end but he is now well placed to start his next adventure at school. The support the nursery have provided to not only my grandson but also my daughter as they’ve navigated speech and language and early years inclusion has been a godsend.
I have been very happy with the nursery experience that my child has had at King’s Hawford Nursery and I look forward to continuing education at this setting. I looked at many in the local area and it seemed the best, the registration process was lovely, my questions always answered and made my child feel very happy and safe visiting and then finally joining. I really appreciate the staff and management - I am always listened to, I know my child is highly cared for and he thrives in this setting. I particularly like the use of the online community, the handover at pick up and the home-school book where I get a report every day of what my child has done that day, including food/snacks.
King's Hawford Nursery is such a special setting. My daughter started in September 2023 and I was worried about her settling in after moving her from a different nursery - I needn't have worried. She settled instantly thanks to the incredible staff and excellent curriculum that utilises the huge array of facilities on-site. Her speech and confidence have come on a huge amount, as well as a speedy toilet training period - all of which King's Hawford has been instrumental in. She always comes home from nursery happy and can't wait to tell us all about her day - I honestly can't recommend enough.
We cannot fault Kings Hawford Nursery - the care and support they provided our daughter (and us) whilst she was settling in and throughout her time at the nursery was, and continues to be, exceptional. Our daughter looks forward to nursery every single day and loves all the activities which are part of the curriculum. You can tell the staff love their job and tailor their care depending on the child’s needs, likes and dislikes. We couldn’t recommend this nursery more!
My child is full-time at King's Hawford and we are extremely impressed with the provision of care. The range of activities they experience from 2 years old is superb (swimming, forest school, cooking, music lessons, library bus visits) - no two days are the same! This is not your typical nursery provision and goes far beyond what you would expect. The staff are professional with parents but loving and playful with the children. Highly recommend.
Amazing environment where children have the opportunity to develop and grow in their areas of strength and also develop their confidence. The recent nativity was a clear illustration of that. True commitment and hard work from all the staff.
The staff greet my son at the gate with a big smile, and he is always happy to go in with them. I am kept updated with what he has been up to each day via daily diary comms and posts on the app. He experiences a range of activities, with Forest School and swimming being his favourite. He is always bringing home different crafts or things he’s made in cooking. The parents are welcome to watch or partake in many areas with the children which I believe builds strong parent partnership. I have noticed such a difference in my son since he started here; he seems to be flourishing.
The best choice I made was King’s Hawford. The Kindergarten is in equal measures fun, caring, warm, adventurous and above all my child wants to go in. I’ve even been asked if they can go at a weekend. Since starting I haven’t had the battle of going to school. The staff are friendly and loving to the children and my child has grown so much as a person since attending. Socially and academically the children are supported. The outdoor facilities are fantastic and never are the children discouraged from going out and exploring in all weathers. I would not hesitate to recommend the Kindergarten.
My daughter was my firstborn, born during covid. Isolation during her early months led to her being a somewhat quiet and shy individual. When searching for nurseries I required one that I trusted to really support and nurture my daughter, whilst being flexible with timings and reasonable in costs. I can confidently say that placing her into King's Hawford Nursery was the best decision for her. As parents, we saw her grow significantly as an individual in terms of confidence, communication and social and motor skills and were over the moon with her development. The staff are wonderful and extremely caring. I was reassured when leaving my daughter there whilst I went to work and I have no regrets in doing so. I would recommend this nursery to everyone, every aspect is amazing, from day activities to indoor and outdoor facilities and I can safely say that my daughter is thriving there.
A lovely kindergarten where students are taken on multiple school trips (shows, farms, soft play, mini towns). My daughter is getting used to routines - she knows on a Monday she has forest school, Tuesday rugby and cooking, Wednesday ballet and German, Thursday baking and Friday PE and swimming. A very nurturing environment where my daughter named her teachers in the list of people she loves before bed. They clearly listen to them as her vocabulary has exploded, she’s becoming happy and confident. They get to explore and they have lots of outside playtime on the hard surface with bikes and scooters. Lovely engagement with parents including nativities, school sports days, Christmas fairs, mince pie mornings, parents evenings, photos and updates on the app.
My son has flourished since attending Kings Hawford, his development has been a delight to see. All the staff are very supportive and kind, and our son loves them all. Lots of events and fun ways to get involved with the nursery too!
