View Full Details of Orchard House NurseryMy child has been attending for the past year and is now approaching two years old. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. He has absolutely thrived here and looks forward to going every day. The staff are incredibly caring and attentive and it's clear how much they value each child's individual needs. The updates provided are fantastic, I always know what he's been up to and how he's progressing. It's reassuring to see how much effort they put into planning engaging activities that support his development across all areas. It's such a warm and nurturing environment and I know my son is well cared for and happy.
We are so happy with our experience of Orchard House. The staff are kind and nurturing and genuinely love the children in their care. They took time to know and appreciate our daughter as an individual and she formed very warm and genuine relationships which allowed her to flourish. They provide a range of fun and educational activities with a clear purpose and make use of a very good outdoor space to keep the children stimulated. They are excellent at keeping you informed of your child's daily activities via the app they use and always respond promptly to any communications over the phone and email. They do activities for different celebrations throughout the year, such as an Easter bonnet parade, which left us with some lovely memories. We really do feel that Orchard House has set a very firm foundation for our daughter's next steps and has helped her become the confident and happy little girl that she is. We were very sad to leave but will look back on our time there very fondly.
Our daughter attends Orchard House and I feel so confident dropping her off in the mornings knowing that she'll have a wonderful time and be well looked after. She absolutely loves the staff and it's clear that they all care about the children so much and do whatever they can to help them learn and have a wonderful experience. I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery - I am so glad we found it!
Both my children attended Orchard House and I can say without a doubt that they have been exceptionally well cared for at the nursery. The staff are extremely loving and nurturing. They are generously attentive to each child's individual progress (emotional, mental, physical) and their creativity at coming up with activities for them knows no bounds. They have patiently supported and encouraged our children through major milestones (transition to solids, potty training, anger and frustration management). The children love the food served at the nursery and never come home hungry. Nursery management are very supportive of the parents. Parents are provided with punctual updates on their child's daily activity throughout the day. All the staff take pride in the work they do... and rightly so!
Our daughter has grown and developed so nicely at the nursery. The staff are fantastic, their activities are really engaging for the kids, and we're so thankful for the way they are with her every day. We know she's fed very, very well. Plays so nicely with her friends and is already excited about moving upstairs to the bigger age room. The best part about this nursery is their communication with parents via the app. So I know my daughter is always safe and having fun as there are detailed updates every single day as well as photos/videos if permission is given.
My experience at Orchard House has been excellent. The staff genuinely care for the kids and look after their development really well. Every day has different food and activities with a dedicated staff member for a small group of kids. They have a parent messaging group to keep us up to date, and an app for photos and videos of our girls so we can see what they are up to. Staff celebrate our twin's milestones and have themed activities throughout the year like Xmas, Halloween, mothers day, fathers day etc. The nursery manager is really helpful and always available. Very flexible when it comes to changing nursery days which is much appreciated. As a first time parent, I didn't know what to expect but I know we have found the right nursery! Highly recommended.
I have sent both my kids here (one graduated two years ago, my other son currently attends). They both love their experience here, and if they ever had a hard time saying goodbye to us, the extremely loving staff would ensure to give them lots of cuddles and special attention. I love the fact that I can see what my children are doing on a daily basis through their online portal. The nursery provides lots of opportunities to take part in hands on/sensory activities. They accommodate our food needs, and overall my kids are happy. I only wish they had a bigger outdoor space.
My daughter started attending Orchard House Nursery at the end of September this year and since starting I couldn't be happier with how comfortable and happy my little girl is with the nursery, staff and other children. She's happy every time I pick her up. I love that you get updates with photos and videos each day! The staff are so lovely and helpful! I'm very happy with my choice within the area for her, within two to three weeks of starting her vocabulary started to expand too! This was definitely the best decision.
A great place for your child to grow and feel nurtured. Staff really take the time to know your children and create individualised engagement based on their interests. My son absolutely loves going to nursery and it feels as if they are all a part of our family.
I have my two kids there and I couldn't be happier with the attention all staff give to them. They always listen to our requests and try everything to make them possible. My kids always go happy to the nursery and come even happier, that means everything. Also, I think they really develop the kids with very good and different activities. And they send us videos or photos during the day, which is lovely to see! I'm very happy with the food they serve, always lots of vegetables and fruit!
I recommend this nursery 100%! My son absolutely loves this nursery and is always excited to go! He loves the staff and has made so many friends. They have helped so much with his eating habits and he is now eating a whole different range of foods his confidence is also so much better! The staff are so friendly and keep you up to date with everything!
Our son has attended Orchard House since he was ten months old and we are very happy with the experience so far. Staff are extremely caring and attentive, and put a huge amount of effort and imagination into developmental activities. Our son has come on leaps and bounds in his time here and has strong bonds with staff and classmates. We have almost daily updates from his key worker, meals are prepared on site, and the children have daily access to a large and well equipped garden (not so common in central London). The manager is wonderful, as are all the staff in the baby room. Parents get regular communication via messaging services and the app.
Our son has thrived during his near four years at Orchard House and transitioned to reception with ease (although he's keen to return to tell them everything every day). The staff have been consistent throughout his time there which speaks volumes. They are a genuine enthused and supportive team and always have time to fill parents and carers in on their child's day (and share photo updates via a portal). The love and care they've given him has been so marked and he's been supported and equipped to pursue his interests and favourite activities from lifeboat drawings to growing sunflowers and cress. He loved the dinners there and misses them. We couldn't have wished for a better place for these formative years.
This nursery has potential to be a good nursery, but it is far from there yet! I was recommended this by some other mums, based on their previous experience and I’m sure that it was once a great place, but it is no longer. I had a terrible experience there. Every day my son cried on the way there and begged me not to go. Because I had to work, I sent him while I looked for another place. Every time I would pick him up he would be filthy, even though he had spare clothes. He would have his dummy even though I told them explicitly it was only for naps. I would be told by one worker that he had eaten all his lunch, then by another he hadn’t eaten a thing. It was heartbreaking to see my son so unhappy. Thankfully he only spent four weeks there before I took him out and put him in an infinitely better nursery down the road. Orchard House is a no-frills nursery that offers basic care. Everything is in need of updating and refreshing. Personally, I would look for another place to put my child.
I have sent both of my boys to Orchard House and cannot recommend highly enough! The manager and her team have really created a family environment where kids thrive. From preparing my oldest to start big school to ensuring my baby feels secure and happy. My youngest son worships the ground his keyworker walks on! One of the best decisions we made was becoming part of the (then Lollipops) now Orchard House family!
My family have used this nursery for four years for our two children. Sadly our time is coming to an end but we could not recommend it highly enough. The team of long serving dedicated staff cherish each child and make it a loving, nurturing environment. It is currently having a full refurb to make it even better.
Our child, now 3 years old, has attended this nursery since she was 10 months old and she absolutely loves it. It's a relatively small nursery compared to some in the area, and the low number of children in the same place at the same time means the level of noise and chaos is contained. Our daugther adores the staff, which is almost identical to when she started there, ensuring a home-away-from-home atmosphere. The carers, both as individuals as a group, have impressed us a lot with their energy and keen interest in the children, but also because they seem to genuinely enjoy themselves at work. There is a sense of humour and flexibility that makes us all feel like we're part of a big family.
My 2yr old and my baby both attend this wonderful little nursery. We moved from a much bigger setting and have been delighted with this decision. The toddler is always kept busy and excited and there is never a shortage of cuddles whenever he needs one. He loves all the staff and whenever I collect him, anyone can fill me in on his day even if they are not his assigned key worker because they are just like a family and all very familiar with the children, and this goes for the baby unit too. My baby started at just 4months and has been 100% loved and nurtured there ever since. They even teach me how to settle him gently! I would think any little ones lucky enough to attend this safe, caring and exciting little nursery will be so so happy! My toddler would like to add “I love it!” when I asked him his opinion, that’s straight from the horse's mouth!
The manager and the team at Orchard House are wonderful and have provided a loving, caring, stimulating and family-like environment for my eldest child for over three years and my youngest for the last six months. We could not be happier with our choice of nursery - from the baby unit leader and another staff member in the baby room happily following our wishes around sleeping and weaning (and giving out lots of cuddles) to the deputy manager and another member of staff working out creative ways to stimulate toddlers in the nursery room (with day trips, cookery lessons and encouraging a love of reading) and to prepare them for school. In fact, all of the staff are just brilliant - without exception - and we are very grateful to them for everything they do for our children (and the enthusiasm with which they do it), both of whom are extremely happy at Orchard House.
I have sent both my children to Orchard House and I can't recommend it enough. A lot of the staff have been at Orchard House for years, and are fantastic with babies and older children. My daughter (who left for school last year) formed close bonds with the staff and other children and was always happy and excited to be going to nursery. My son is in the baby room and settled in very quickly due to the loving environment. He is always extremely happy and contented when I pick him up.
