I love this nursery, and would recommend it to anyone. I am very grateful for everything they have done for my daughter, and for us as parents too. This is a happy place where children learn and have fun at the same time. The outdoor space is fantastic and it feels like they make a real effort to get the kids outside as much as possible. Our child has been with the nursery from Baby Room through Toddlers and into Pre-School, and at every stage she has been looked after by extremely kind and warm people. She is very happy and so are we. Thank you.

I just had to give a review of the fantastic experience we have had at York Montessori Nursery Headingley. We welcomed a Ukrainian family to Leeds in May - Mum, Dad and two and a half-year-old daughter. She had been at a Montessori Nursery in Ukraine, so her parents were hoping she could go to one here in Leeds. I called, and from my first conversation with the manager, I was so impressed with his willingness to help in every way. He and the staff have really gone above and beyond to help the whole family settle in, taking time to get to know them and make sure that they are comfortable before leaving their child. They have completely understood the scale of moving to a new country after the trauma of what the family have experienced in Ukraine, and my husband and I are so grateful on behalf of our new family that they have ensured the best possible start for them all in Leeds.

Our daughter attended this nursery for two and half years and spent time in each room (baby, toddler and pre-school). We initially chose this setting largely based on the fantastic space available for the little ones, both indoors and out. The beautiful garden space is a real asset - outdoor play is encouraged whatever the weather and there is a forest school area and outdoor classroom. We found the quality of childcare to be excellent, the staff really are amazing - so caring, supportive and knowledgeable. They have always ensured great communication to parents (even throughout the COVID pandemic), via the parents' app updates and regular newsletters, as well as having time to provide daily face-to-face feedback, which was very reassuring. Our daughter has thrived in the Montessori setting and is very independent and confident. The settling-in phases were managed particularly well and I was always confident she was in great hands.

Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being with Montessori in Headingley. The staff are very caring, warm, friendly and attentive. We have been incredibly happy with the whole experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any friends or family. The outside space seems to be loved by all the children and our daughter has created wonderful bonds with quite a few of the staff. It's been lovely to see how much they care for the children.

Our son has been here for a year now and we couldn't be more impressed. The nursery is in a beautiful old house, which gives it a very homely feel. There is a great outdoor space, with structured play areas set up, a forest school, and a poly-tunnel where they can be a bit sheltered from the weather. There is a lot of emphasis on play with nature, and they seem to have quite a lot of outdoor play compared with other nurseries, which is great for our son, who is a very active child who needs lots of fresh air! The staff are professional and well-trained (including lots of ongoing professional development), but also just super nice! There's lots of daily communication, inc. sending lots of photos with their reports. They are always coming up with creative play ideas. There is clearly a lot of careful thought that goes into the design of their activities that reflects the Montessori philosophy and seems to go way beyond the industry standard. Most importantly, our son absolutely loves it there!

I have both my children in the nursery at the moment and I honestly couldn’t imagine sending them anywhere else. My son is very shy but the love and support he has received, whilst there, has seen him blossom. He is now incredibly confident, articulate and caring. I love the Montessori ethos for promoting independence and all the staff do such a wonderful job of helping the children to have fun, whilst building valuable skills. Pre-school, in particular, has helped him to be so ready to start school soon. My daughter has several food allergies and not once have I had any cause for concern. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that she is safe. All of the staff are so well trained and genuinely treat each child as if they were part of one big family. The nursery has a wonderful community feel and I will be devastated when we don’t have a reason to go there anymore!

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the incredible service and care that Headingley Montessori offer our child and all the children in their care. The nursery has a wonderful homely feel, is well equipped with exciting, educational and exploratory toys and games for the children, along with a large rotating library of books and excellent outdoor and indoor spaces. Our child has blossomed in their care. Her language and independence has increased 10 fold and she is now very confident in all social settings, interacting with adults and children. We feel extremely lucky to have found such a consistently high level of care and we are over the moon with the progress our daughter has made there. She is happy and confident and enjoys her time with a group of motivated, enthusiastic, highly trained, members of staff. This nursery feels like an extension of our home and we regard it as part of our family. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The staff are great at communicating with you. As a first-time mum going back to work during the pandemic, I was anxious about leaving my child at nursery. By keeping me updated on my daughter's progress every day, I was reassured and I love seeing pictures of her enjoying activities, eating different food and interacting with the other babies. I would highly recommend this nursery to other mums and dads.

I feel very lucky that my son has attended Headingley Montessori since he was 13 months old, beginning in the baby room, progressing to the toddler room, and now in preschool. He started with 3 full days (8am-6pm) when he was 13 months, and after a year that was increased to 4 full days per week. He has been lovingly cared for during his years at Headingley Montessori and has thrived in all aspects of his development, socially, intellectually, creatively, emotionally. The staff have been engaged in his development every step of the way, providing a happy secure environment for him. He will attend till the end of August as he is beginning reception in September. I am grateful for the immense support the nursery has provided in my son’s development during these crucial early years. As an unexpected bonus, I’ve made some dear friends amongst other parents whose children attend the nursery. So much gratitude. Thank you to all the hard-working, loving staff at Headingley Montessori Nursery.

Our toddler (2 y + 2 m) has attended Yorkshire Montessori at Headingley for a year now (he was initially meant to start last March, but we’re all aware of that worldwide pandemic). We couldn’t be happier with the level of care he receives. The staff are very attentive and sensitive to each individual child - they’re wonderful and we are so grateful for their hard work. The meals are nutritious and varied and they cater well to vegetarian diets etc. The updates on the parents' app are really helpful and it means we have a nice summary of his day - meals, sleep, nappy changes etc. We have had zero concerns since he started and he has come on leaps and bounds in this time. We have had limited time inside the nursery ourselves due to Covid, but they follow strict hygiene measures and the times I have been inside (settling sessions), it was super clean, warm and inviting. Couldn’t be happier and feel very lucky to have found this nursery for our son. We intend for him to stay here all the way until school.

The staff at Headingley Montessori are absolutely fantastic. I wasn't sure about sending my child to a nursery, but after a few friends recommended here as their kids love it, we thought we'd give it a go. One of the best decisions we've made. Prior to the nursery, our little boy was with a childminder but wasn't settling. He joined this nursery at 14 months and settled in really well. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The food the kids are served sometimes makes me jealous - they eat so well. The outdoor area is wonderful and they do so many fun activities - meeting a tortoise, body painting, gardening, baking etc. The head is excellent at communicating and responds quickly to any queries. All the staff go out their way to cater to the interests of your child and make sure they settle well. Our little one loves nursery and always calls out the name of his favourite staff when we arrive. We've even had a few times where he hasn't wanted to leave as he is enjoying himself so much.

Our experience has been excellent. It is clear that the staff care about the wellbeing of our child and have formed a caring relationship with her. Our child clearly enjoys her time at nursery and has learned much from the programme and the other children. The staff are attentive to our requests. The daily updates are a great way to follow our daughter's progress and to check to see she is enjoying the experience. We feel lucky to have found this nursery.

Our experience with this nursery has been delightful through and through. From the cleanliness, paying attention to our needs, listening to our needs, being accomodating and genuinely being sweet and loving to our daughter - we have nothing but praise for the staff and the team. Our daughter loves the environment and enjoys going there every day.

I would like to say a big thank you to the professional, kind and friendly staff at the nursery. I can't believe the progress my grandchildren have made here. The younger one, in particular, who would scream if anyone, except her parents came near, has blossomed into a happy friendly and confident baby.

Absolutely delightful staff. The whole experience of sending my daughter to the nursery has been wonderful. She loves going every morning and seems to have so much fun. I am totally confident we couldn't have made a better choice for her care. The food is fabulous, she eats so well there. The staff are kind and attentive. We couldn't ask for more for our little cherub!

Headingley Montessori have made our family feel so welcome. All the staff are warm, genuine and friendly. I never thought it would be possible to find a nursery that I would feel comfortable leaving my daughter until we visited here. Everything is of an excellent standard.
