The team at Townsend Herne Bay are very patient, accommodating and caring for all of the children and their families. They stop and listen when our family need to make special requests for our daughter and they work hard to ensure that she has a great day every day and that she is cared for and heard. Each week, they think of exciting activities, relevant to the EYFS but also the various events happening nationally at those times. It's been a fantastic nursery and I know that our daughter has had a brilliant start to her education here.

I was so nervous to put my son into nursery having not started until nearly 2. But all the girls were so wonderful during the settling in process, I got plenty of updates throughout the day and now after 3 weeks or so he loves it, runs into his key workers arms and has probably had a cuddle from every staff member. There's lots of activities daily for the children, lots of outside time in the garden, they really care about the children and all put the effort in to get to know them individually not just their key children. It's so reassuring to know he's safe and wants to go in and sleeps better at night for it! Another bonus is parking I always manage to park for pick up and drop off, highly recommend.

My little girl has attended Townsend Montessori Herne Bay since she was 9 months old. She has absolutely thrived in this setting. She has secure, caring relationships with all the key workers who are so knowledgeable in her needs and how to support her. My husband and I feel confident dropping her to nursery every day knowing that her day will be filled with a plethora of activities that have increased her confidence, social skills and learning. She receives additional input from a qualified teacher alongside activities such as football, yoga and rugby which she always looks forward to. She is being thoroughly prepared for the first stage of formal education and I dread the day we all need to say goodbye. Thank you, Townsend Montessori Herne Bay!

The nursery provides a variety of enrichment and fun activities for the children. It is great that they also have a qualified teacher who helps plan interesting learning activities. The weekly football, yoga, rugby and dance sessions ensure that there are regular group exercise activities. The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable. They take a keen interest in child development and ensuring the space is welcoming and safe for everyone. The meals provided are varied and nutritious - allowing the children to experience healthy food options and the opportunity to pick how much of each thing they eat. I could not ask for a better nursery for my son.

This nursery has really turned things around so it feels only fair to write a review on how well my daughter is now doing. She's a lot more settled, outspoken, and happier since the changes have been made. She's well cared for and I no longer have any concerns. A particular member of staff is absolutely brilliant with my daughter and nothing is too much for her. I’m regularly kept updated via the app with comments and photos of what my daughter has been learning throughout the day.

The staff are absolutely amazing! Always go above and beyond for the children, great communication with the parents or carers. They really get to know the children on a one-to-one basis, and take so much pride and care into them. I would highly recommend sending your children here.

All the staff at Townsend Montessori Herne Bay are amazing and extremely helpful. They are great at keeping us informed and I love the new emails they send out to let us know what extra sessions are available each week. My child is very happy here and is growing in her skills and knowledge thanks to the fantastic staff.

Townsend has been amazing with our 1-year-old. She struggled to settle in initially and they were more than happy to provide further settle sessions and work closely with us and our daughter to make sure she had the best experience in the nursery. We always hand over to her key worker on pick up and drop off. There was one occasion when her key worker wasn’t going to be in, we were informed the day before and assured that another nursery worker would receive a full handover of our daughter. The app is updated on things such as meals, and nappy changes on the same day and we receive weekly photos and observations. All the staff are polite when we come in and all know our daughter by name. Highly recommend!

Love, love, love the nursery and all the girls that work in the hedgehog room! They really do go above and beyond. My child has come on leaps and bounds since being here. The only reason I have down-scored the value for money is because I would like to be able to provide a packed lunch and because I’m not able to, I have to pay a considerable amount extra each month more than £100 extra! This is the only downfall of the nursery.

The nursery has been great for both of my children, but currently, my son attends. The team have really got to know him and understand his likes and dislikes. The activities are so varied. He always comes home having enjoyed his day, especially, football, yoga and the forest class.

We are delighted with Townsend Nursery. The staff are amazing, we can tell they all care for and know our son really well. The staff and children alike all seem happy whenever we walk in and the team is always happy to spend as much time as we like talking about our child, his habits, wellbeing, and his development. My son loves going to nursery and has settled in so well. He feels safe and cared for, with fun activities and (importantly for him) great food! A few staff members in particular are all wonderful and I am very happy that they are influencing him in his early years. I have no complaints at all.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff are amazing and friendly, the activities are amazing and the food is fabulous! My son is doing so well, he’s learning so much. He plays outside which I love, he’s made lots of friends and really loves going.

Good. They pay attention to the child’s learning goals, do one to ones and keep the app updated. The children seem happy and well cared for, and I feel confident that my child’s developmental needs are being reviewed and progressed.

We have been so happy with Montessori Herne Bay. Our son always comes home talking about his friends, the staff and everything he has done and learnt. He can now hold a pen and loves pointing out numbers and letters that he can recognise when we are out. He loves being outside and has loved the Forrest school area of the nursery. All of the staff were friendly and enthusiastic to tell us about our son’s day and they went over and above to help him settle in and get to know who everyone was. He eats a wide range of food and the staff always report back to us what he has eaten. The app is really good and we love to read and see photos of what he’s been up to such as painting, making planets from paper mache, making pancakes, building, writing his name, all sorts! The staff get back straight away and always call if they have any questions for us. We couldn’t thank them all enough for all that they do.

An amazing nursery. My little boy loves it and has came so far since being there. All the staff are amazing and so helpful and he really enjoys going and they have been so helpful and helping us with his potty training as well.

My son is so happy there. He eats so good and he is developing so well. The interaction with other kids is so positive for his learning. Every carer looks after him with love and respect. The parent zone app is updated every day with his routine activities and some days they upload some pictures of him and the activiy of the day. In general, the nursery really fit our needs and we feel happy to leave him as part of our days.

My little girl attends this nursery full time. The staff are extremely attentive, professional and warm and the setting is lovely. My daughter is really flourishing here - best decision made to send her here. The app is also fantastic as you can follow your child’s day to see when they’ve had a nappy change, eaten, had a sleep or my favourite, the little snapshot pictures of their day to see what they’ve been up to!

My little boy started this nursery in 2021 after he struggled to settle at another local nursery. He settled straight away and has loved it ever since, the staff know him so well and he feels safe and happy at nursery. The staff create interesting and interactive learning activities based on the children's likes (e.g Mario, ice cream, dinosaurs) this gives the children the opportunity to bond with the other children and form friendships. My little boy has made lots of friends at his nursery and is always excited to see them, the children are taught good manners, why diversity is good and why always being kind to others is so important. This nursery has shaped my son into the chatty, comical, friendly and confident little lad that he is today - I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and often do!

Everyone is incredibly friendly at the nursery, and my son feels safe there. He hasn’t always enjoyed going in, but the staff were great at helping him in and would always message me to let me know he was happy and settled. I really feel it’s such a shame that the nursery has moved away from the app, as I feel like communication has gone down a lot since, and I know the nursery finds it frustrating too. I used to love looking at what the children had been up to, especially if there was a lovely photo of my son, and I miss that a lot.
