View Full Details of Pear Tree Montessori NurseryPear Tree is a wonderful nursery with a brilliant team and a really lovely, nurturing environment. My little boy has been thriving since he started at 9 months, and loves being there. I couldn't ask for more!
My daughter really enjoys the nursery and they've looked after her really well for the past couple of years. The facilities are good and the garden is lovely. It's nice that all the staff know all the children and develop bonds with them. They use an app to post simple updates about your child's day such as how they've eaten and nappy changes and they also post occasional golden moments or highlights of your child's development if they do something noteworthy. They also have a social media group that posts group pictures of the classrooms which I really enjoy, it's always great to see how your child is getting on with the various activities. My daughter is always happy, outgoing, and friendly to others and she is observed as being independent and confident, I think attending the nursery has contributed to that.
We are so grateful for the wonderful care and education that our child has received at Pear Tree The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming, and they truly care about each child's individual needs. The educational programs are engaging and challenging, and our child has made significant progress in their development. We are especially impressed with the communication between the staff and parents. We always feel informed about our child's day and any important updates. We highly recommend it.
Brilliant nursery. The staff are amazing and take the time to understand and connect with a child. My toddler didn't speak English when he started and they were very supportive and now he can understand both Arabic and English. He always leaves the nursery really happy which is really nice for us parents. The nursery itself is really nice with informative activities which is why I drive all the way from Hale every day.
We have been so thrilled with the warm welcome and lovely start at Pear Tree. Every time the door opens, there is a smiling face greeting us whether that is someone from my daughter's room or not, it really feels like everyone enjoys their job. The range of activities provided each day appears varied, and fun, and provides opportunities for development through play. Often multiple activities in the baby room even before lunch. Great care has been taken with my daughter's allergy to include additional notes on the app to reassure me that dairy-free options have been given. Every conversation with the key workers in her room has never felt rushed, the words they use appear genuine and I feel my daughter is well cared for, supported, and given all the care attention, and cuddles that I would give at home. She appears to be thriving in the environment.
Pear Tree is an amazing nursery, it didn't take long for my child to settle in, they have lovely activities that they often personalise to the preferences of our child, and they have a great relationship with the children's caregivers/parents. I love their menu, and healthy homemade food, my child is thriving there. I love that they use the Montessori approach which differentiates them from most of the other nurseries. I love that they go outside daily.
Having had 3 children at Pear Tree, I do trust them hugely. Two are now at school and my youngest is in class 4. My daughter is always super happy with strong bonds with staff. A lot of thought goes into the activities carried out by the children.
My youngest attends Pear Tree and he loves it. The carers work really well with him and with the other children in general. He has grown in confidence and is learning to become independent with drinking from his own cup, taking his dishes back to the sink, and putting on his own coat and shoes. His two main carers have both been very helpful whenever I have any questions but all the staff are amazing with the children and all know his name even if he is not in their class. I highly recommend Pear Tree to any parent looking for a good nursery.
My daughter stared at Pear Tree in August this year when she was 14 months old. We're very pleased with the care and support that has been provided. She's settled really well and enjoys going to nursery. The setting is clean and calm while still being engaging and has a great large outdoor space. The staff have been really nurturing and understanding and have gotten to know my daughter really well. The menu is really nutritious and varied which stood out from a lot of the other nurseries we looked into. Overall we're really pleased.
My eldest child has recently left Pear Tree to start school and we have been really impressed with all of the school readiness skills he developed whilst at nursery and in the preschool class in particular. My youngest child started in the baby room in August and similarly has settled in really well. All of the staff are knowledgeable, kind and welcoming and ensure that parents are kept up to date with what is happening in the nursery. The food is brilliant and the nursery are able to cater for different dietary requirements. The outside space is fantastic and a great resource for the children who get to go outside every day.
The staff are brilliant, friendly and switched on plus the facilities are excellent. They are very clear in communicating how my child's day has been, recalling details not only about the general day but events specific to them and are clear and succinct even when it's busy. The staff who look after my child is friendly, approachable and child-focused. They have the ability to make you feel like your child is 'special' even with the number of children they must deal with every day.
We recently moved our son to Pear Tree as we were keen to introduce him to the Montessori principles. It has only been 3 months but we could not be happier with our decision. The nursery is lovely, with a beautiful garden. The staff are fantastic and our son's key worker is a gem. The way in which they encourage his interests and support his development is inspiring. The methods for focused play, how staff encourage independence, and the thought put into each activity are amazing. We love the fact that they keep us informed with emails and the use of an app so we can see how our son has enjoyed his day with details of activities, photos, diary, and golden moments is lovely to see. We really appreciate the efforts that go into celebrating different cultures and traditions and that families are encouraged to be a part of the nursery community with Grandparents Week being a highlight for our son's Granny. We are thrilled to have our son at Pear Tree and happily recommend it!
I started my toddler in nursery in September upon my return to work, after having viewed a number of options local to me. Pear Tree stood out from all the others I visited. I wanted a nursery that focused on development and learning life skills, in particular through the Montessori method. Communication is great, whether through weekly e-mails or the app. Each day my son attends, I look forward to reading what he has gotten up to, and keep an eye out for his weekly 'Golden Moment'. I am amazed by what my 1-year-old does on a weekly basis, from learning how to pour to baking cookies! I also love the outdoor space and how the kids are taken outside daily. My son's pescatarian diet is catered for and he comes home from nursery clean. The staff are lovely and I am comforted by the fact that my son is happy to be dropped off in the mornings after only a few weeks of attending. Thank you to all the staff at Pear Tree for a great experience so far.
I highly recommend a Pear Tree nursery. Wonderful, caring staff who help with my son’s development every day. They provide children with lots of amazing activities, love and teach them independence. My son is very happy there, which gives me peace of mind. I can see how much he is learning and developing thanks to the Pear Tree’s teaching approach and their lovely staff.
Pear Tree is a fantastic nursery that is fully committed to supporting children and parents, providing a safe space for kids to develop, creating fun and adventure in everything they do and thinking outside the box when it comes to finding joy in learning. I would recommend this nursery to anyone, the staff are approachable, open, honest and kind. Both my kids have enjoyed every minute, and any challenges along the way have been managed with maximum respect and kindness for the child. The outside space is lovely and there are frequent trips for the kids beyond the nursery. The classrooms are thoughtfully laid out and never overwhelming. Communication via their app is detailed and consistent.
Our daughter has been going to Pear Tree for 3 months now and has really thrived. She learns so much from the activities set out each day and the staff do an amazing job at caring for the children and they help develop each individual child’s skills! I would definitely recommend Pear Tree to any parent looking for a setting.
It is a lovely Montessori nursery. The staff are very friendly, and caring and they know each child’s name. They would provide help and advice on each child’s development. The staff really helped my daughter to settle in from the beginning. All children are encouraged to be independent at a very young age. Children are often taken to local shops and nearby villages for a walk. The nursery is well-equipped with Montessori toys. The chefs are fantastic and cook delicious food for children. Rooms are clean and bright. Nursery uses an app to inform each parent about the children’s day. Management would keep parents updated about any staff training that has been done. I would recommend this nursery to other parents.
We chose Pear Tree for our children after recommendations from friends and are really pleased we did. The care and attention both children have been shown by staff has been exemplary and both have always come out having had interesting, full, happy days. Both children have learned lots at nursery and the Montessori ethos at Pear Tree means that staff encourage the children's natural curiosity and independence, building on things the children have particular interests in. At home, both children regularly talk about their teachers and friends at nursery, and they come home singing songs they've learned, clearly having had lovely days.
Both of my sons have attended this nursery and we have been so impressed by the care, support and quality of the activities and the staff providing them. The setting is lovely, a huge Victorian house, with an outdoor classroom and a large garden with a mud kitchen. There is a lot of encouragement for the children to play outside in all weather (suitably wrapped up when cold!) and it is wonderful for increasing their awareness of the natural world. Our youngest son loves to go out in the garden, to play and race around with his friends. The staff are so kind and helpful and they really make a huge effort to bond with the children and tailor the activities to their interests. Our eldest loves sea creatures and when he was at the preschool, a member of staff frequently created new activities involving paint, water and sea animals for him to get involved in. He still talks about them now and how much he loved Pear Tree. We are so happy with the nursery and would not hesitate to recommend it.
My little girl has been attending Pear Tree for nearly 3 months now and has already made amazing bonds with the staff in her class. The nursery is always clean, tidy and has such a warm homely feel as soon as you walk through the door. Each morning she is welcomed with the biggest smiles from all the staff and they really do listen in great detail to your requests around food, sleep and incorporating things you’ve been doing at home into their nursery day! I love that I can view her journal online during the day and look at photos of her with her friends on the private social media group. Pear Tree really has made our little girl come on with her speech and physical skills and their materials and equipment are impeccable! I couldn’t recommend Pear Tree enough!
