View Full Details of Fennies Wimbledon, Elm GroveMy son has recently started at the nursery and all of the staff team have been amazing. They have supported my son but also us as a family with adjusting to our new routine. The nursery always looks very clean and this was important for us when choosing a nursery. Lots of information was provided before we settled and it was a really smooth transition for us all.
Our little boy started at Wimbledon Fennies 3 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with our choice. I was a little apprehensive about leaving him at the start but the girls in the baby room have been incredible. Within a couple of days, he had made a really lovely bond with his key carer. She is just brilliant! She made the settling week so much easier for both my son and I! I really can't thank her enough. The communication from the room is brilliant. I am sent a lot of updates and get beautiful observations with lots of pictures. He has so much fun at nursery! He has been on walks to see the train and the ambulances and they always set up really exciting and engaging activities in the room. He has settled so well, which is such a relief and the girls have even managed to get him to nap! The nursery is really well organised by the management team and I am always greeted with a smile on my way in. I would absolutely recommend Fennies Wimbledon to anyone looking for a Nursery.
We sent our son to Fennies Wimbledon from 11 months to 1yr 8 months old and we were really impressed by the nursery and staff. The managers are both very thoughtful and professional managers who helped a lot with the initial settling process and whenever we had questions throughout our time here. The girls in the Explorers room who looked after him were amazing and showed genuine compassion and care. Our son has definitely grown in confidence and it was really sad to move on due to moving house too far away. We would highly recommend.
I have 2 children at Fennies Wimbledon, one in Explorers and the other in Discoverers, my eldest has been here nearly 2 years and within the time I can't find a fault, from the cooking staff, room staff and management. Communication is always great. Both children are thriving and Fennies Wimbledon have a huge part to play in that.
Really disappointed in Fennies and their total disregard to the wellbeing of children and their own staff. They are keeping the children inside with windows shut because a neighbour complained about the noise from children playing outside. The children are locked in packed rooms with the windows closed. Asthmatic staff have apparently struggled, one recently leaving. The kids are trapped inside for hours (potentially 8 out of 10hours). They are only allowed short periods in the garden (30min morning by group so 15min, 1230-1330 (during nap time for some), then 30 minutes in afternoon. That is a disgrace. Last week the room was so hot (a portable AC was moving between rooms) in outside temperatures of 25-31C and even hotter inside. It was like a greenhouse when I picked up my child they sweating as were the staff. Unfortunately biting and scratching amongst kids is more common due to the extended periods indoors.
Avoid this nursery. We've been here last 2 years. But it is by far one of the biggest regrets we've made. The latest issue has caused the most upset amongst all parents - they are keeping the children inside with windows shut because a neighbour complained about the noise. Complaints are falling on deaf ears. The children are locked in (in overcrowded rooms) with no proper ventilation for hours. They are allowed only short periods in the garden. Due to one neighbour, the children suffer indoors and in current 30+ degrees weather. Room feels like a hen battery farm. They will probably reply to this saying it's to protect them from the sun but you can ask the staff - it's because of the dispute. The regional manager has insulted our intelligence by suggesting A/C is fresh air. The higher management only care about margins and profit, not about their own staff (most leave extremely quickly). On a positive note, we love the nursery staff!
Amazing nursery. Not a single issue in over 2 years of attendance of my son. His development, since he started at Fennies, is amazing and he is a more confident child in comparison to when he started. The management is very good and have an open door policy.
My little boy has been at Fennies Wimbledon a little over a year now, he joined just before he was 9 months. I honestly don’t think I could have chosen a better nursery for him. He is thriving in all areas and the staff are simply amazing!
We have been at Fennies Wimbledon since our son was one and is now nearly three and now our daughter is also attending. The staff in both rooms have been engaged, proactive, caring and simply wonderful at their jobs. The activities they do in both rooms are incredible; constantly inventive, creative and seeking to engage in a variety of different ways throughout the year. The team are brilliant, they know our kids so well. They genuinely care about them and have helped support us with any challenging normal phases we went through. The management are supportive, warm and caring and have an honest, transparent approach to the parents and their interaction with the kids is heart warming. We are very, very lucky to have them. I wouldn't dream of having sent them anywhere else and feel very lucky that when my husband and I can't be with them, they get to be in a place that loves them and nurtures them both in this way. Thank you so much to the whole team.
Our daughter loves going to this nursery and skips on the way there during drop-offs. The staff are attentive, kind and caring and they do a lot of fun developmental activities every day as well as yoga, Spanish and French lessons. We couldn't be happier!
We've been sending our son to Fennies for nearly a year now. He has really settled in wonderfully, loves his key worker and is very happy there. He will walk in without a look back when he is dropped off in the morning. We're very pleased with Fennies. All the staff and the manager have been superb.
I absolutely love Fennies and I think I couldn't have chosen a better nursery for my son! The staff is great and friendly, the facility is bright and clean and my son is always happy to go there and spend his days with his friends and teachers. I love the weekly photos, videos and observations that are posted on the nursery's communication system. The teachers are engaging and allow my son to thrive. Highly recommended!
Our daughter has been at Fennies for a year now and absolutely loves it. She has really thrived developmentally and socially whilst being there. The staff are lovely and the management are really hands on and genuinely care. We are so grateful for them.
The staff at Fennies Wimbledon have been excellent. Our son is thriving in this environment it is clear the teachers are passionate about early learning and consistently go the extra mile. Recently there here have more activities including the parents as well as initiatives implemented by management to incorporate home and school. The team at Fennies have exceeded my expectations recently and we hope to see that continue.
Choosing Fennies Wimbledon for our baby boy was probably one of the best decisions we have made since becoming parents. The facilities are outstanding, the management very responsive and the staff are just all you could ever ask from someone who is going to spend so many hours with your child: friendly, caring and professional. The freshly cooked meals offered to the kids are varied and nutritious. We are grateful for how much care and love they have always shown towards our son. He loves going to nursery! I would recommend Fennies Wimbledon to all parents in the area.
The staff at Fennies Wimbledon have been absolutely wonderful. They are professional, caring and friendly. The management are efficient and respond very quickly. We have had a brilliant experience with our daughter who attended since April 2021. The staff are so welcoming and really get to build a strong relationship with your child, they helped my daughter build her confidence and really encourage independence but are also supportive. The nursery itself is very safe and clean, we loved the balance of open play and structure, our daughter always spoke so highly of all the staff and really enjoyed her time there, we were sad to leave! The menu is outstanding, there is a chef making fresh and healthy meals, we opted for halal and there was a lot of attention and care to ensure these needs were met. The communication is outstanding, they use the tapestry app and we are able to see videos, detailed observations and photos of our daughter. I highly recommend Fennies Wimbledon!
Fennies Wimbledon is more than a nursery! With twins, life can get a little crazy especially when your family and support structure live far away. Fennies Wimbledon staff are professional, nurturing and developmental. Our little ones enjoy school, speaking of their teachers all the time. Thank you Fennies Wimbledon for your unconditional love! We value the nursery and recommend it as "home away from home" to any parents considering sending their precious children there.
The staff at Fennies Wimbledon have been absolutely amazing since our daughter started there a year ago. They are incredibly kind, caring, and in but also professional. We have loved being part of the Fennies family and are only leaving due to moving out of the area.
Our daughter attended this nursery for 18 months and was very happy during her time there. She loved all the staff and activities and the only reason we moved her was because we left the area. The staff seemed to genuinely care about our daughter and she built really strong bonds with them. I also liked the contact we had with them so we were always aware of what our daughter was learning. I would recommend this nursery to any parent in the area and I have!
I cannot thank the staff at Fennies Wimbledon enough for their genuine care of my son. He has now been attending for over two and a half years during which time he has consistently been given quality and varied opportunities to learn and develop. The resources which Fennies have are excellent and really support the varied interests of the children. The garden is a particular strength of the nursery and offers children opportunities to develop their physical capabilities with new and exciting equipment. My son is always keen to leave the house in the morning to attend and at pick up time is very proud to show me his paintings. The catering is excellent and the menu has really developed my son’s appreciation of food; his current favourite seems to be curry! I find the management highly efficient and always respond very quickly when I ask for feedback. Overall, I highly recommend Fennies Wimbledon to any parent looking for a home from home caring environment.
