Sometimes information doesn't get passed onto relevant staff, which causes delays as having to ask/inform each individual separately. The food provided is versatile and enjoyable and usually, plates are finished. I do wish more fresh vegetables were provided at lunchtime. Nevertheless, a portion of fresh vegetables/fruit a day is always available, that's great. The rooms are well equipped and are constantly being improved. The children spend lots of time outside, in fresh air always beneficial. The staff is always creating new resources and decorations and is updating the room information board and artwork. I find that sometimes children's work tends to get lost, I wish it was better organised so that parents can keep them. Maybe an indoor/outdoor shoe policy could be implemented to keep the rooms even more clean and avoid rain and dirt on the floors. Also to make children more comfortable so that they aren't in rain boots all day.
The nursery has gone through some recent management changes and these are having fantastic implications for my daughter's development. The nursery manager/person in charge is lovely, personable and always has time to listen to your observations/thoughts. My daughter has been going there for a year and a half now, and she has grown in confidence, her speech has come on and her vocabulary, as well as reasoning skills, have significantly improved. We are also vegetarian and the food is on-site cooked fresh which is of a high standard. All in all a great nursery with a highly skilled management team in place and doing wonders. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone considering it in the area.
My son has been attending Busy Bees in Harrow since Feb 2019. He has always come home with a smile and loves all the food on offer. We are kept up to date with his progress and day to day routine. I would definitely recommend the nursery to my fellow mummy friends.
Very pleased with the nursery. My daughter is always happy to be dropped off here and is always in a great mood when I collect her. She is developing really well at 13-months, and I am impressed with the care and activities organised by the staff in the baby room. Staff are attentive, and she has bonded really well with her carers. Everyone is very friendly.
This nursery was taken over in January 2019. The transition period was handled terribly by the new management team, this affected my son and the staff at the nursery. Most of the staff left causing trauma to my son, with mostly agency staff. He would normally look forward to nursery, but all of a sudden he didn't want to go and every week long-standing staff members were leaving. One day I took my son to nursery and there were no teaching staff there that he recognised. He burst into tears as did I. My son is not a crier so I knew he wasn't happy there anymore. In addition, the take over by Busy Bees was brutal for all. The new management in suits didn't introduce themselves to parents and parents weren't told what they were doing there. They managed to take this family-run nursery into a corporate number-crunching company without concern for the children, parents or staff. They didn't need to come in and change a nursery so brutally that wasn't broken.
