View Full Details of Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-SchoolMy daughter absolutely loves attending Nursery here. She was petrified and wouldn't leave me without a struggle for the first few weeks. The Nursery staff went above & beyond to make sure she settled in. Fast forward a few months and she counts down the days until she goes in. I love the app which gives you both updates as well as photos and useful information. I genuinely have no faults with this Nursery, sending my daughter here was the best decision I made. Would highly recommend to anyone. Watching my daughter grow and develop these past months from attending Nursery has been amazing.
My daughter is in the toddler room. She has been at Odds Farm for over a year now. The staff are fantastic and will go above and beyond with any requests. They also take the time to understand every child's needs and treat them all as individuals. She absolutely loves going to nursery, she enjoys the vast range of activities put on in the toddler room. She loves her walks around the farm, enjoys feeding the animals and absolutely loves her weekly tractor ride
Amazing nursery, high standard of care, all staff really good at communicating and making you feel safe leaving your child there. Would recommend to anyone. Very clean and always lovely decorated for the seasons.
Our son is settling in well. He has only been attending for 4 weeks but is really enjoying it. The staff are very kind and caring. The farm atmosphere is very exciting and the classroom is clean and neat. We are looking forward to the journey ahead together with Odds Farm Pre-School!
Our son really loves it here! All the staff out great and give him great support and encouragement. He loves doing his daily trips to the farm to see the animals and of course, getting a ride on the tractors. Great facilities and a secure location which makes us feel like he is safe.
My daughter was very nervous and insecure when we first arrived at nursery, the wonderful. Staff soon had her enjoying life there, she is now blooming and loves her trips to the farm. I cannot praise the staff there enough, after my cancer diagnosis, they were so supportive keeping an eye on our little one in case it was impacting her in any way, we have regular chats about her progress and what she is going to learn next, you can see by how she greets the staff in the morning how comfortable she is there, and when I pick her up. She looks so happy, so pleased we found this nursery.
Our daughter always looks forward to her nursery mornings. The staff have been brilliant with settling her in and she has made some lovely friends since starting. The stay-and-play events for mother's day and father's day were a great opportunity for us to both see the environment she spends time in. We are always assured she is having a lovely time and we've seen her confidence grow with other children during her time at Odds Farm.
Our son has been going to Odds Farm Nursery for a few months now and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The staff are all so lovely and welcoming. You can tell they have a passion for what they do and want the best for your child. The indoor/outdoor style alongside the farm setting makes it the perfect setting for our outdoor animal-loving little boy!
My son has been attending since January 2023 and really enjoys himself! He aged up from the baby room to the toddler room and we’ve seen him grow into a confident little cutie. We really like the staff and the grounds, fantastic that there is a farm/soft play on site! The calendar events that the team put on are super cute as well, I love any event that means I can interact with my child’s place of care!
My daughter absolutely loves the nursery! After every visit, she is happy and babbling away! They recently did a Mother's Day special in the morning. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it but my sister could. When I say there was excitement, that is an understatement. I don't know who was more excited! They did so many things together and it always amazes me how happy my little one is when returning from here! I wouldn't want her anywhere else!
The staff at Odds Farm are very attentive, nurturing and supportive. Having a farm and expansive outside space sets the nursery apart from others and provides the children with a unique experience where they can enjoy the animals and outside resources.
I'm delighted to share my positive experience with the nursery. Our 3.5-year-old has been attending the nursery setting since he was a baby. He loves going to the farm to feed, observe and learn about the different farm animals, ride on the tractor, or go for explorative nature walks. We have noticed a significant and positive change in the way in which the nursery is being managed and run since the change of their nursery manager. The staff seem a lot happier and settled. The room facilities are regularly being updated, providing a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers and babies alike. The staff genuinely care for the children, always putting their best interests first, whilst thinking of ways to encourage parent and family-inclusive evenings. I appreciate the dedicated and caring approach of the staff. I highly recommend this nursery to other parents seeking a quality childcare facility with a truly fantastic and stimulating outdoor setting on a farm with passionate staff.
Our journey at Odds Farm has been overwhelmingly positive. Our daughter joined at just 16 weeks old and, now at three years old, she can't get enough of her nursery days. The staff's care and compassion are exceptional, and she adores them as well as her daily farm visits and tractor rides. The child-led approach initially concerned us, but it's become clear how wise it is for a child's development. Despite recent staffing changes, the remaining senior staff and room staff continue to provide excellent care. Our daughter has a respiratory illness, and the staff ensure she receives her medicine without any issues. We know the day to leave will be a sad one, but for now, we enjoy each day, especially our bear hunts on the adventure trail. Thanks, Odds Farm, for these wonderful memories.
My child has made some great friends at this nursery and has been looked after by some lovely staff which now that they are at school they miss them all. They attended the nursery since baby room and we’ve seen great progression. We believe their confidence at school now is down to their time at this preschool. My comment, however, is on our experience in the mini farmers room where we were not wholly satisfied with the facility. For starters, the room is on the farm itself with one door (which has to be slammed shut all the time) between the children and public. The room floods in heavy rain, which has left us without childcare on a couple of occasions as they’ve had to close. Accessing the room during the day to collect our child during busy peak park times was frustrating as there was always a queue of visitors at the park entrance to get past. Parking also an issue on these days. Admin has been awful, waiting months to receive invoices and frequently receiving incorrect invoices.
I've had 2 children attend Odds Farm over a period of 3 years. During that time, my children have thrived in a happy, outdoors and unique environment. There have been times where management and communication has been problematic. This has been a frustration only for me, not my child who continued to enjoy life at nursery. It is testament to the senior management that they recognise where improvements needs to be made and are proactive in making these changes for the better. The current management and senior management team are committed, active and passionate about doing the right thing and I have no doubt Odds Farm will continue to thrive and go from strength to strength. The team currently in place is caring, professional and hugely engaged with the children and parents and I wish them all luck for a successful future. Thank you!
My four year old has just recently graduated from Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School. She has been at the nursery since they opened and we’ve seen a huge improvement from the initial management. We also have a one year old in the baby room. Both our girls are happy to go in, welcomed with big smiles and caring arms. We believe in our children’s intuition and they certainly look forward to going. The parent app is a fantastic tool and we love all the updates and photos! We’ve had so many wonderful photos I’ve made my eldest a nursery memory book. For us the farm and facilities are an added bonus to an already very caring nursery. Our eldest is certainly ready for school thanks to the staff. Thank you Odds Farm Park Day Nursery & Pre-School for helping our girls thrive in a wonderful early years setting.
I loved the nursery from day one and my little one thrived in the main building. Communication was good and her days were fun. Then we moved to Mini Farmers and everything went downhill. The child-led approach meant the children were left to amuse themselves unless they went to the farm to pass the time. Accidents were almost daily and behaviour was poorly managed, resulting in her frequently being bitten or hurt. The room is not designed for kids. Loo roll is not accessible when on the toilet and kids are in full view of the public if the door is open. We were often sent home in wet clothes as staff were too busy to change her. Children are not monitored for progress and tracking forms showing next steps are not shared with parents. There is very little communication with parents except for inaccurate feedback at handover. Staff turnover is extremely high. Many leaving due to poor management and those who stay clearly lack passion and training. I would not recommend this nursery.
After 3 and a half years of my daughter attending the nursery, I was forced to remove her 8 weeks before she was due to finish. The situation became completely unbearable, with the nursery's total inability to deal with problematic situations. The lack of management skills and the lack of trained staff became too much. The turnover of staff was a major concern for many of the parents and the constant failings in their duty of care and duty to provide a safe environment for the children. My child along with several other small girls was repeatedly bitten, kicked and attacked by the same boy. The authorities got involved, and the nursery attempted to deal with the child but consistently failed. They have a duty of care to provide a safe and healthy environment and they are currently incapable of doing this. If you care about your child's safety and well-being then look elsewhere.
We were sold on the nursery's fantastic setting at Odds Farm - but the care of our child was lacking and after several attempts to discuss improvements, none occurred and we decided to move nurseries. Overview of their day at pick up was rushed and lacking info (sometimes by staff who had only been with them for only a couple of hours). Daily 'farm visit' was often just to the soft play area only. Bad communication, from inconsistent newsletters and wrongly advised event dates through to lack of documentation for incidents/accidents. Our child came home dirty - almost every day despite several changes of clothes being provided - and disengaged. We sometimes got fortnightly photos of our child via an app but they lacked any insight into their development or nursery experience - yet frustratingly social media pages marketing the nursery are updated very regularly. We regret sending our child to Odds and would not recommend it to other parents.
This is an amazing nursery, and I am so happy with the provision. My daughter has been there for two years, and my eldest left last year. The nursery is unique because of the opportunity to go to the farm every day. The facilities are clean and safe, and the staff all work incredibly hard. The food is locally sourced, and they are always introducing new items to the menu to encourage children to try more foods. They have lots of events/dress-up days, and the staff always go the extra mile to make it exciting. The only flaw is that communication can be slow between the nursery and parents if you have an admin query. This is totally understandable though, because the staff are focused on caring for the children rather than responding to emails 24/7. It’s easier to pick up the phone or speak with them in person if you have a quick question (which is refreshing to find because normally you can’t speak to anyone these days!). Absolutely recommend it, and I am so grateful to all the staff.
