We have two children at Starchild, and it’s genuinely the best nursery care we’ve experienced to date, having moved with work before. The staff are experienced, kind and creative. They have a talented in-house chef who has managed our daughter's allergies expertly. It’s well-managed, and we’ve never had an issue in the two years we’ve used the service. Our youngest went from six months and has been cared for so incredibly well that it made us less worried about the early start. Thank you!

Our little boy absolutely loves spending time at Starchild nursery. There is such a varied range of activities - arts and crafts and sensory are his highlight along with singing and dancing and walks in the park. He is 22 months, recites nursery rhymes, and loves to count. The staff have helped him with his development. He also has his afternoon nap really well. He is settled, and we can see him thrive there. He is always excited to go in on a morning!

Fab nursery! We love Starchild. The staff are lovely, and they’re great at accommodating us. They keep us up to date via the app, so we can see what our little one is up to, including pictures and what they’ve eaten (which I’m always jealous of!). They have a great selection of food and activities. They go for walks, and our little one always comes back with new words and skills! Thank you so much, Starchild. We really appreciate everything you do.

Our child has come on leaps and bounds with their social skills since joining Starchild. They thoroughly enjoy going to nursery and seem very happy, engaged and willing to take part in the fantastic activities that go on. All of the staff seem to genuinely care about our child, and we look forward to seeing the observations/photographs from our child’s day. We are really pleased that we chose Starchild; we couldn’t be happier about our child’s development since joining. Thank you.

Both my daughters love going to this nursery. They have loved all of their key workers, and they have encouraged the girls in all areas of progression. I have no issues or hesitations in recommending the nursery to everyone. They are always willing to accommodate where possible. The girls really enjoy the facilities and the weekly trips out.

I was very apprehensive about my firstborn going to nursery, however, Starchild blew all apprehensive out of the water! The staff are very approachable and deal with any concerns or queries quickly, and with no judgment. My little boy loves going to nursery and jumps into their arms. They have a brilliant activities plan with innovative and development tasks for little ones. No one day is the same. Despite not having any current specific outdoor area, they go for walks and explore the locality, which is excellent. The reporting and key worker updates are fantastic as you are able to see what your little one has been doing during the day. My little one's confidence has grown immensely, and I cannot thank Starchild enough.

Cannot recommend Starchild Nursery enough. The staff are so lovely, and I feel so confident about leaving my son in their care every Monday. They deal with his allergies really well, which is so reassuring for us. We love the app they use to update us on his day and keep track of his development. Highly recommend.

Starchild is a lovely nursery, and we wouldn't think twice about recommending it to others. After visiting a few different settings before deciding on which nursery to send our little boy too, Starchild was the one where we felt the most welcome and at ease, and we both picked up on the lovely, friendly atmosphere. All of the staff are lovely and welcoming in the morning, which is great if you have a child that is a little unsure. However, after a few sessions, this soon changed, and now he loves going in the morning. The app is great for keeping up to date throughout the day; I love seeing all the different things he eats, as well as all the different activities he does; the photos are lovely to see. I am really happy we decided on this nursery, I know that when I am at work, my little boy is in a caring and fun environment, and I don't have to worry. This is all down to the lovely team at Starchild, so thank you all.

I have used the nursery since my child was 5-months-old and she is coming up to 2. I was originally planning on moving my little one to the local preschool at age 2, but now I don't want her to leave. The staff are great, always willing to go the extra mile and make my child feel welcome. They use an app that works so well for keeping updated about what your child is up to and how they are developing. This is one of my favourite aspects. My other favourite part is the fact that they have so many days out with children come rain or shine. Highly recommended!

We travel 30 minutes to get to this nursery. We were tempted to move our daughter closer to home, but she (at the age of only two) shouts 'wahoo nursery' as we get closer and tells all our family about how she's spent the day playing with her key worker. Our daughter loves it. Everything about the nursery is exceptional.

The nursery is clean, lovely staff, and most importantly, my daughter loves it. You can tell the staff really care, and they keep you posted on how ur child doing, which so lovely and important. I was recommended the nursery and since have friends children joining after I have recommended. Fabulous nursery!

I have had experience with a few nurseries and can say that without doubt, Starchild is the best nursery I have come across. The staff go above and beyond and genuinely care about every single child; their communication is brilliant, and each and everyone is absolutely lovely. I love to see what my son gets up to every day, from when he has a nappy change to what he eats! He has come on leaps and bounds in just a few months - the difference in his eating and personality is like night and days. He’s a much happier child now at home and eats brilliantly. I cannot recommend Starchild enough. It’s small enough that you get a really personal experience but big enough to be completely professional.

I am blown away by this nursery. I was so nervous to send my child to a setting due to him being quite a clingy child, however, the love and passion the girls have been so reassuring, my child has gained so much confidence with new people within 8+ days. I am kept up to date with how his day is going, which is refreshing and has definitely eased my anxiety with him. There is always lots for him to do, and he is eating meals we would never have thought to try with him. I’m so happy I chose this nursery.

The nursery is well organised and is efficient with their communication with parents. We are very well informed of our child's day, upcoming events and any issues that may have arisen. The staff are all very friendly, approachable, and most importantly, our son really likes spending time with all the staff at Starchild. We would definitely recommend to other parents.

I can’t fault this nursery, my son has settled in so well, and he started at the beginning of covid. The owner/manager did his utmost to ensure that I had childcare to enable me to work at such an uncertain time. My son loves going there, and after some tears initially, as he was adjusting to his setting, the team has ensured he has settled easily. The food menu he loves and the regular updates online with his daily activities is great. Would definitely recommend.

We have been at Starchild in Malton since they opened in 2019. I have experience of three other nurseries in the area and feel confident that this is the best we have used. The staff are experienced, enthusiastic and caring. Our daughter is super happy there. The nursery was new when we joined so it's well maintained and they have great equipment and a lot of activities for the children. They use the local area really well to explore and can often be found having a picnic in local gardens on a hot day. They have supported with all elements of our child's development, toilet training, feeding, giving up dummy, nap times, being able to recognise her own name etc.

Lovely place and the staff are brilliant. Very understanding management as well. Located central Malton, it may not have an outdoor space per-se, but they explore outside the nursery building and interact with 'nature'.

Great staff who clearly care about their role. My child loves going to nursery, and she has developed so much. I especially enjoy logging onto the app and being able to see all the activities my child has been doing throughout the day with her friends. My child also enjoys meals and snacks - a good variety.

Beautiful setting, excellent staff and great communication. My daughter settled in so well and genuinely enjoys going. She knows her key worker by name, and the effort put into the development of that relationship was just fantastic. We receive two observations a week as well as lots of pictures of all the fun activities she gets up to. Easy to follow the next steps for us to help encourage too. After moving to a totally new area with some uncertainty, Starchild has really helped our daughter settle well with the added benefit of being able to interact and play with other children in such a fantastic environment. Also in this pandemic, they have adhered very closely to all guidelines and still ensuring a nurturing and fun environment for the children who attend.

There aren’t enough words to describe Starchild and the staff - my daughter attends this nursery, and she has grown so much during her time there! The staff are always so helpful, understanding and lovely. They’re there to help you with any queries or problems you may have (for eg starting to potty train) they’ll work alongside you, and they’re so fantastic. My daughter loves coming here, it’s a shame that she’s attending primary school (hopefully!) in September... she enjoys every element of the nursery, from storytime to going out on the big red bus! Don’t look anywhere else for private daycare because Starchild is the place to go!
