View Full Details of The Butterfly Patch Hampton CourtMy daughter has been attending the nursery full-time since 2023, when she was just one year old. This review is based on our experience in 2024. She has really enjoyed her time in the toddler room, especially the engaging activities that keep her happy and stimulated. The level of care provided is excellent, and the communication from the staff has been very good, keeping us informed about her progress and daily experiences. Now, as she transitions to the pre-school room, the attention to her individual needs is as expected. They ensure she feels comfortable and confident in this next stage of her development. She has also made wonderful friends and has sociably developed so much during her time at the nursery, which has been amazing to see. We are very pleased with the nursery and would highly recommend it to other parents.
My daughter has been in the nursery for about 2 years and absolutely loves it. The staff are caring, loving and make it a really fun and engaging environment to be in. Despite the obvious issue of not having outside space in the nursery it doesn't deter the staff who take the kids out every day to local parks, activities and playgrounds too. My daughter absolutely loved going to ride the train and the bus! It's a great nursery and my daughter is very happy.
Our son has been coming to The Butterly Patch since he was 2. Since then he has flourished and is ready for the reception. The staff are brilliant, very supportive, caring and patient. They have everyday outings and do lots of creative and learning activities. We couldn't be happier with our choice.
My child loves the nursery and the newest staff are the best yet. All the staff are always happy to take the time to chat with us about my child's progress and even his tantrums! They are out every day, they need a garden. We notice that on the weekends when we are out with our child he's a lot more engaged in what's going on around him in the general community than a lot of children who are glued to their parent's phones.
The nursery staff have done wonders to support my granddaughter with potty training. The environment is delightful and I know my daughter is very happy with her choice. The most important thing is that my granddaughter is happy!
My daughter (3 years old) has been attending nursery since March 2024, just two half days a week. She absolutely loves it, especially going out every day to do activities or playing games at the park. Always happy with a smile on her face when I pick her up. The staff is great and very creative in organising activities for the children.
My daughter has been at The Butterfly Patch for two years now, and I have seen the nursery go from strength to strength over that time. The children go out daily, exploring the parks and areas around them. The staff are caring and inventive with games and ways to get the children prepared for school. Not only has my daughter made good friends at the nursery, but I have also with the mums. I am very happy with the nursery and will be sending my son there too in the next few months.
The nursery is a wonderful setting. My son attends in the preschool room and he loves going to nursery to see his teachers. They have shown him patience and care through this transition stage of school readiness and independence. The practitioners create innovative activities to engage his interest and manage to keep him concentrated for good amounts of time. He’s developed in so many areas and loves the nursery pet which is a gecko! The setting is continuously improving since a new manager and deputy manager have led the nursery from the beginning of this year.
The new manager is superb: approachable, proactive and fully involved with the day-to-day events. The setting is excellent and we love the treehouse and the new lizard pet! The children go for a lovely walk each day and have had a few forest school sessions where they have built a den or had fun with a tree swing. There are plenty of lovely SMSC (spiritual, moral, social and cultural) opportunities for the children too and my little one loves the cooking and baking. The staff are excellent: very caring and encouraging of social skills. I’m very pleased indeed.
All the key workers are brilliant. They are very caring towards my 2 children and they engage with them in many different creative activities. My children are always happy to go to the nursery and they are looked after really well by the staff.
Absolutely brilliant nursery. The staff are kind, caring and amazing. Communication is very clear. Using the app which is updated regularly and there are also regular pictures as well. Couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery.
Pros are that the baby/toddler care is amazing, my little one was phased in with care and a tailored approach not just what suited the nursery. They worked with us to establish good routines/structure and managed challenging behaviour with regular comms, handovers and practical approaches. They learned lots of new skills which the team documented via the app with pics and extra ‘wow moments’ included which was lovely. My eldest was in preschool and learned all the key skills (writing, letters) you’d expect. They are supported with wider prep like sitting down in a circle, listening etc, stuff you don’t always think of but is critical. They worked on projects around nature, science etc and free play helped develop interests and form friendships. Cons are, no outside space which isn’t unusual for nurseries in that area, they are taken out for a good few hours each day. Staff turnover has been a bit high but isn’t unusual or a reflection on the nursery I don't think–similar has been experienced by friends with other nurseries.
Our daughter has loved her time here and that's all thanks to the staff who are engaging, compassionate and very creative in everything that they do for the children. She comes home each day with stories to tell and songs to sing which is lovely for us to see. For such a small site, the fact that the team make such great use of the neighbouring green space is key and they are out in all weather which was important for us to have. Couldn't recommend it highly enough!
My daughter absolutely loves going to the nursery which is a brilliant testament to how good the nursery is. The staff are great and extremely friendly and empathetic, one staff member, in particular, is super! and even though they don't have an outdoor space they make sure the little ones go on plenty of outings. They encourage and aid her with her mental, emotional and physical development which I am very grateful for. I do however think the system of payment needs to be reviewed if she is ill or I take her out of nursery due to a holiday etc I am still paying for that day. I appreciate that they cannot offer that place for another child but with the cost of living having a strain on families, it is a lot of money to practically give to the nursery for nothing in return. I understand that every nursery works like this so this is not directed at The Butterfly Patch, however even a 40% deduction would be fair. The daily rate is so high for her not to attend.
Our son and ourselves are very pleased by The Butterfly Patch Hampton Court. He loves going to the nursery and he is always happy when we pick him up. The team is friendly and professional. The app that is in use to keep us updated adds a lot of value, and the keyworker's progress reviews help us to understand the development of our son. So far, all medical issues have been treated it the utmost professionalism. We couldn't picture a better place for our son.
Our child has had an exemplary experience at The Butterfly Patch Hampton Court. He has made friends and settled into the nursery way of life brilliantly. The staff at Hampton Court have supported our child at every new challenge and continue to facilitate his development. I can't recommend this nursery enough, if only all were like this one.
This is my little boy's first nursery and he joined at 4 months old. Since he joined he has developed socially and physically, he enjoys it and also has some little friends. He is now seven months and still loving it. The staff members are very understanding and helpful with tips.
My daughter has been attending the nursery since she was 8 months and grown to a confident little girl. The staff turnover has been quite high but the care for her has usually been maintained and has not caused any disruption to her learning.
My little girl has been going to this nursery for over two years now and there are very helpful staff, very reliable and always here to help. My little girl loves going there and is always very excited in the morning. She’s going to be very sad when she has to leave to go to school.
Lovely nursery with fun and care at its heart - we feel lucky to have them for our little boy. The team are dedicated, hard-working and so friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would say, having visited alternatives, this is the best all-round early years provider in the locality.
