View Full Details of Little Gems Day Nursery PetersfieldWe've had our son in Little Gems for just over twelve months now and I cannot fault them. Everyone is incredibly welcoming and we were particularly drawn to how small the provision was - it meant that everything felt very calm and not at all over-stimulating and every practitioner now knows our son, even those from other rooms. We started our son there when he was 8 months old and he's now approaching 2 and has moved to the Toddler room - it took him a little while to settle into the new room but all of the staff were so helpful and warm and welcoming and now he loves it. He doesn't even wave goodbye to me at the door anymore as he feels so confident going straight in! His key workers and room leaders have been amazing. Little Gems have also been incredible with added stressors of potential allergens and have been particularly supportive during my husband's deployments. We're facing a large deployment this coming year, but I know that my son will feel very supportive and safe there.
Terrible experience. Came to my daughter's settling-in session in which I was told on the phone that I would be allowed into the room with her and upon my arrival I wasn't. Alongside this, I had no idea who my child's key worker was and the only thing asked was if she had a cow's milk allergy. Once they took her to the room I spoke to the manager and asked why they hadn't stopped to talk about her medical conditions with me (she has 4 that were all listed on the form and she was unaware which shows that they hadn't read any information given). I went to leave as I was upset and went to leave her water bottle, which they told me not to bother. As soon as I got in my car I knew this place wasn't for her so I went back to collect her within 10 minutes. At this point they were then saying "The room leader can speak to you if you like"; which is too late as if something had happened in those 10 minutes they wouldn't have been able to look after her properly. They also refused to give the £100 deposit back.
