View Full Details of Riverside Nursery Schools, St Margarets MontessoriMy son graduated from Riverside Montessori St Margarets in June 2024, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. He had an absolutely wonderful time there. The teachers are like mothers, nurturing, caring, and incredibly supportive. They provided a safe and loving environment that made my son look forward to going to nursery every day. Additionally, the staff were always supportive of parents, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed. Their dedication and commitment to the children and their families are truly commendable. Thank you for everything you did for my son. We will always cherish the memories and the positive impact you had on his early years.
Six months ago, we had to move to London due to my husband's job. Riverside Nursery Schools, St Margarets Montessori was the first school our son attended in a new country. Despite not knowing any English, the compassion of the teachers, the headmaster, and all the staff always made him feel happy and at peace. His language skills and confidence developed quickly. We are grateful to all the teachers who do their jobs with passion and to our headmaster, who is always present and supportive. You have filled our first memories in a new place with happiness. We are deeply grateful and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
St Margarets Montessori has been a game-changer for our son over the past nine months. From the very first day, the staff went above and beyond to help him settle in. The teachers are not just experts in early childhood education, but they're also genuinely warm and patient people. They seem to have an endless supply of compassion and understanding, which is truly a gift. The facilities are top-notch, with a garden that's practically a kid's paradise compared to most other nurseries. It's spacious enough for the little ones to run around and explore to their hearts' content. Watching our son play there, make new friends, and thrive in such a nurturing environment has been a joy. We feel like we've struck gold with St Margarets Montessori. It's a place where we know our son is in great hands, learning and growing every day. We couldn't be happier with our choice!
My son has had such a wonderful time at this nursery. He is treated so well by the fantastic teachers who show patience and empathy whilst encouraging him to be independent. He has been allowed to explore so many different activities and themes which he loves sharing with us when he gets home.
Couldn’t be happier with the nursery. It’s so nurturing and caring. My younger daughter is now at the nursery following her big sister. It has a family feel to it and I love the Montessori methods used to teach and inspire the children to grow in confidence and mental ability. Would recommend it to anyone.
My son loves this nursery and has made many friends, one of the drawing points for us was the big open space in the back garden which they make the most of with forest school, my son loves to make popcorn in the big tent outside and search for creepy crawlies. The activities are engaging, using basic objects in an interesting way to pique the child's curiosity. I love the fact that you don't have to have expensive equipment with all the bells and whistles to engage kids. Staff are attentive to the child's interest and intentional about how each activity can develop a child - it's great to be part of his learning and get regular updates from an app they use. I want my son to be well-rounded and enjoy all aspects of his learning journey and so far, this nursery has been a great fit for him.
My son has been attending this nursery for over one year. It is the perfect fit for our family because we absolutely adore and trust the educators. They are kind and caring in demeanour, and offer a variety of learning opportunities through the lens of Montessori. My son also attends Forest and inter-generational programming each week through this nursery. I can recommend this nursery without hesitation.
We could not be more delighted with this nursery for our son. The staff are incredible. The activities are engaging, interesting and fun. It brings me so much joy that we’ve found this nursery and my only fear is it will change in any way - truly it’s perfect!
Our time at Riverside, St Margaret’s has been a smooth transition into school. The Montessori principles are meticulously executed by the wonderful teaching staff. Our toddler now fearlessly marches up the steps to school and blows us a kiss from the door. He is so excited to get to explore, tinker, and learn at nursery. Thank you teachers and staff at St Margaret’s!
Cannot praise the team at Riverside, St Margaret’s highly enough. Have never encountered such a dedicated team before. They care deeply about the children, and the strength and security of the relationships formed are obvious. They go above and beyond in so many ways and have provided additional support without hesitation when asked for it. Our son has developed so quickly - a real testament to their teaching ability. We feel so lucky to have our son - and soon our daughter - with them.
This is a wonderful environment with great supportive teachers. I am confident my son is safe, cared for, and encouraged to explore whatever interests him at the time. The activities are beautifully presented and varied. My two-year-old enjoys both playing inside and working on his art projects, as well as riding bikes and playing ball games in the garden. He recently joined a forest school and gets excited about making popcorn in the garden’s bell tent. He has bonded well with his teachers since starting the nursery four months ago, and I simply couldn’t imagine a better place for him.
Riverside Nursery Schools, St Margaret's Montessori is a very special place. Our daughter has attended the nursery since she was 2 and has had a brilliant experience - from the nurturing, kind staff and the beautiful, large garden to the wide array of activities (forest school, yoga, science experiments, sewing...) - I can't think of a better place for her to have spent her pre-school years. The staff are smart and thoughtful - everything about the nursery is designed and implemented for a child-centred reason. I'm very grateful that my daughter has been able to attend this nursery. I have only positive things to say about it and would absolutely recommend it.
My daughter attends with the biggest smile on her face everyday! Incredible nursery with amazing staff. You can see and feel the love from everyone that works here. They are really engaging with our daughter and care for her like one of their own, it’s so reassuring to know she’s safe and happy. I honestly can’t praise or recommend this nursery highly enough.
This nursery is incredible! The teachers are caring, dedicated and inspiring, the building is very homely and light, and the garden is huge and idyllic. Our daughter has experienced and enjoyed all seasons in it, from water play in the summer, to discovering a hedgehog waking up from his winter's hibernation, and den building in autumn. As a European parent, I felt that the school was very encouraging and inclusive when it comes to different cultures, languages and nationalities. Our daughter would go to the school Monday-Friday, from 9am to 3pm and has always looked forward to it. We have always received accurate information on her developments and assistance if needed. The whole school ethos is children-centered and everyone strives to grow the natural talents and interests of every individual child. Every parent I speak to feels the same about this school and would recommend it thoroughly!
Our family moved to this area this year, and feel so lucky to put my son in Riverside Montessori. The teachers and staff are truly amazing, kind, and very supportive. Honestly, I was a bit worried in the beginning as my son is not a native speaker, but the teachers gave me confidence and showed me their patience. During these months in the nursery, I can see my son has grown and learned so much, he becomes more confident and more independent. Our family is extremely grateful for that.
My daughter has been going to Riverside Montessori for almost a year now and I am absolutely thrilled at the experience she’s had. The teaching staff are incredible, the weekly forest school seems like so much fun and I can see how much my daughter loves learning as a result of her experience. It’s a truly special place and I only wish they offered places beyond age five!
My son and we are really happy and very thankful to be a part of the nursery. They take ultimate care of each child passionately and my son is learning a lot in the nursery. Definitely great staff and nursery.
We looked at most of the nurseries in the St. Margarets and Twickenham area when we moved into the area last summer but always felt that something was missing. A lot of the nurseries were very rigid on their settling in (or should I say lack of) approach which put us off given our daughter was born just before the pandemic and is quite shy and anxious by nature. Many had a high staff turnover or seemed to be run by staff who lacked enthusiasm. A few lacked or had no outside space. When we visited St. Margaret's Montessori we were bowled over by the energy of the people who work there, the wonderful setting including the amazing garden, and of course the Montessori principles which we knew would suit our curious and inquisitive daughter. What we didn't realise at the time was just how nurturing, caring, patient and flexible they would be. I feel so happy that she is in such great hands.
We're so glad we found this nursery for our daughter. It really has everything we could ask for. It's a small nursery and the facilities are great - each classroom is thoughtfully designed with Montessori principles in mind, the garden is beautiful and huge and really fosters a love for outdoors, plus they run football sessions and Forest School every week. The atmosphere at the nursery is incredibly nurturing and calming and they really live and breathe the Montessori values, which is fostering confidence and a love of independent learning in our child. Finally, the teachers are all absolutely fantastic. I know my daughter has built strong bonds with each of them and is able to trust and connect with them. I feel totally confident that they know each child and treat them as individuals in a positive, respectful, and supportive way. They really do a great job of getting them ready to join the wider world as responsible, caring and resilient little people.
Absolutely wonderful nursery, with equally wonderful headteacher and key workers, who are very caring, nurturing, and genuinely interested in my son's development. The nursery offers an impressive array of learning facilities, tools, and subject areas to expand the little one's mind to new, exciting things. I feel that being at Riverside has really bought out my son's inquisitive side and often comes home curious about the things he has learned that day, such as how volcanoes work (at the age of three and a half!). What I also love about the nursery is the amazing garden and the encouragement of engaging with nature at a young age. A magical nursery, one that I would highly recommend to any family.
