My daughter has started coming to Little Steps Childcare Ystradgynlais since the beginning of January as we moved house. She was always apprehensive going to her old nursery and we were told she wouldn't engage or join in in her previous setting. Since her time here, she has begun speaking more clearly, making friends, joining in and overall is so much more confident than before. She loves her time when she's in nursery and the staff are always so lovely. Amazing nursery and amazing staff.

Amazing support and care, so understanding and willing. My son has only been in for a month now but everyday I see a drastic improvement including sign language and sentences. The staff there show love and care to the children and parents and want to do what is best for the pupils.

In the 2 years my child has been attending, I have noticed a massive leap in her speech, knowledge and social skills. My child was welcomed with open arms, the setting has mirrored our home life with love and nurture. She looks forward to going to nursery every day. Every practitioner focuses on the child's needs from day one my child warmed one of the staff straightway, providing me with reassurance that she was ok. This staff member is an amazing practitioner and provided my daughter with invaluable skills and confidence, greeted her each morning with excitement and care, an amazing way to start the day. In the 2+ class, another staff member provided amazing support for my child's growing needs, she always has a smile on her face, recently we found out my daughter needs glasses, and after telling staff she has had chats with my daughter about wearing glasses, bought photos of herself as a child/teen wearing glasses and altogether made my daughter feel a lot better about wearing them. This staff memeber has gone about and beyond for the preparation of glasses.

Amazing nursery my daughter loves attending staff are excellent and so good with the children. The nursery is happy to adjust to any of the children's needs and my daughter is always happy and smiling going there. Communication is great and the staff are always sending good communication of my daughter's day I cannot recommend the staff enough for their hard work.

My little boy has been in Little Steps Ystradgynlais for nearly a year. He has come on leaps and bounds since starting there. His speech has come on lovely and he really enjoys going every morning. They have brilliant facilities and a big outdoor space which is all fenced in for the children to play safely. My boy is a fussy eater so if he doesn't like the lunch there is always an alternative he has. The staff are brilliant and they don't mind you popping in, or phoning anytime you have a message to give. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough!

Little Steps is a fantastic nursery all around. My child enjoys the huge range of activities that they provide for him and particularly loves being outdoors. It is great that they also have external providers to give them varied opportunities and nice that they have strong links with the community and are able to go on trips. It is clear that staff follow children's interests and he is always keen to tell me what he has been doing. Staff are friendly and approachable and any issues are dealt with promptly and reassurance is given following any concerns. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone. Thank you.

Lovely nursery setting for my daughter. She loves attending school and loves the teachers and exploring all the activities that are set up for her. My daughter has been here since April and has improved so much in her vocabulary. She’s made lots of new friends and is enjoying meeting up with the children for parties outside the settling.

A brilliant nursery. My son is always excited when we arrive and just as happy when he leaves. It's reassuring knowing he's spending his day feeling happy and safe. I always feel like I can talk to any staff members about anything and they are always really helpful. I feel like my son has come on leaps and bounds since starting a year ago and appreciate that the staff celebrate his achievements and milestones with us. Despite the fact my son won't be starting full-time school for a few years I already feel sad about the day he will be leaving as I think we will both miss it. Thank you to all the staff at Little Steps and I couldn't recommend it anymore!

Helpful and friendly staff and a lovely nursery which my little one attends. Any problems are always resolved quickly. Could improve by sending menus to the parents of what children will be eating weekly.

Fantastic setting and my son absolutely loves going. He adores all staff members and speaks highly of them, letting me know exactly who has done what with him throughout the days. I trust the ladies working here and am happy I chose this setting.

We are absolutely delighted with the high standard of care our little one receives at Little Steps. You can tell she feels so secure and happy with all the nursery staff and she gets excited to go in the mornings! The amount of time spent on outings and enjoying the outside world is wonderful and has really fostered a love of nature in our child and allowed her to be her super active self. It’s such a welcoming, friendly and accepting setting and our little one is absolutely thriving. It’s lovely that they take on board our child’s own interests and incorporate those into the activities. I feel like the staff really care about her as a person and celebrate her developments. Absolutely would recommend to anyone!

A great nursery where my daughter is well looked after and importantly very happy. Since joining Little Steps her confidence and rate of learning have skyrocketed. All the staff are friendly and all of them are great with the children. The meals are plenty and varied. She loves going to nursery and is excited in the morning.

Little Steps is the perfect nursery. All the staff are helpful and friendly, and did everything to help my daughter settle in. Two members of staff in particular are amazing and my daughter loves going.

My child is now 19 months old and has been attending the unit since turning 6 months old when I was returning to work. Staff at the unit are very approachable and informative around queries. The settling-in sessions were a real help with the transition for both myself and the little one. The communication from the unit is great both verbal and written, which has allowed for the two-way relationship between us at home, and the unit to compliment one another, and allow for development to take place. We have seen really good progress! The outdoor/practical activities the children are involved with are a real delight, especially when captured through photos and shared with their reports!

My daughter has been attending Little Steps Childcare for 10 months now and she is so happy there. All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive and they provide her with so much care, attention and positivity. I have always found the key workers to be very communicative. I would highly recommend Little Steps to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and I feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy learning environment for my daughter.

My daughter loves coming to Little Steps Childcare. She has come on so well with socialising and communicating her needs. She is using a lot more welsh at home through songs and counting and has made great relationships with staff and peers.

I am happy my boy is happy to go in every morning and comes home happy. He especially loved doing the wood work activity the other day and couldn’t wait to come and show me! My wife says the safe are lovely and friendly and I know they notify her if there are any issues and accident forms are signed if needed. I couldn’t be happier he’s happy there! Thanks a lot to all who work there.

I personally have loved my experience with these employees in the 3+ setting. Couldn’t thank them enough. They have really helped my son along with his transition from another nursery. They notify me if he’s under the weather or hurts himself. I feel like I could trust them with my child. He’s happy there and the staff are friendly what else could you ask for! The outside area is his favourite and reminds me of a forest school (or the closest thing to one around here!) The person in accounts has helped me when needed and she’s always prompt in replying. Thank you all very much and everyone else who helps!

The staff cannot do enough to provide high-quality, person-centred care to the children. The staff are what make this nursery, the environment, food, etc come secondary to the quality of the staff at the nursery. I cannot fault them at all. They are caring, compassionate and actively listen to any feedback or concerns that the children have as well as any concerns we have about our child. Since starting at little steps, I have witnessed our little one grow in confidence as well as in his ability to grow and progress massively. The staff work in a way which puts the child at the heart of everything they do. I wouldn’t place my child in any other nursery and would recommend little steps to anybody looking for a safe place for their little one to attend. My little one thoroughly enjoys attending nursery, both parents and children are welcomed at the gate with a genuine huge smiles each morning. I cannot thank little steps enough for their continuous fab care.
