View Full Details of Katey's Nursery & Pre-school TeddingtonOur son has been at Katey's since he was 1 and has been through Cherries, Plums and Apples. He has had a wonderful experience. The staff have all been so caring with him and lovely to us too! Really lovely parents' evenings, progress reports and daily updates via the app which means pick-up is efficient and can focus on the softer elements rather than food/nappies etc! Small but lovely outside space and love the gardening sessions and the frequent trips out to Bushy and Langdon Park. Highly recommend and based on discussions with other parents, a much more personalised approach than other bigger nursery chains.
Katey's Nursery and Pre-school is a fantastic nursery. Our daughter was in Apples and during her time there her confidence and curiosity grew. The room leader (now deputy manager) is fantastic - absolutely loves his job and very good with the children. We loved the routine involving; taking outside shoes off and wearing slippers, writing their name for ‘registration’, cleaning teeth after lunch, trips out to the park. The whole nursery is very clean and has a friendly ‘pre-school’ feel. Would highly recommend.
Katey's Teddington is exceptional! The caring staff, safe environment and enriching curriculum have been a fantastic experience for my daughter. Big thanks to the teachers at Apple's class. Highly recommended!
My son was there since this nursery opened last year and we could not be more happy about it! Is not easy for a 2-3 year old to spend 10 hours a day without Mom and Dad, but he totally loved going there and the teachers were lovely. We have now moved to school, but I am very grateful to Katey's Nursery! The unique features were the regular good quality insights provided by the teachers twice a year regarding the kids' development and the amazing performances pulled together with little ones for Christmas and summer time.
This is an enthusiastic and caring nursery run by the manager with a team that goes above and beyond in helping the little ones settle in and grow in confidence. Our daughter started off very shy and she blossomed into a lovely little lady under a member of staff with good care and warmth. Smallish outside space but they make up for it with daily outside visits to the park which was a highlight for us.
All staff at Katey's engage the little ones with loving care and make them thrive. My son was really happy to go there every morning and came back with a smile in the evening. I would definitely recommend the nursery.
Just a fabulous nursery with incredible staff. I am blown away by the range of thoughtfully designed activities my daughter has access to each day. The knowledge and thought that goes into creating such extensive activities, is visible in how full of energy and enthusiasm she is each day when we pick her up. The staff are loving, professional, and the communication with parents is excellent. We feel very lucky to have our daughter at Katey's Nursery & Pre-school.
We removed our 3 y/o within 2 weeks due to concerns with its management. 4 things I wish I'd known: 1. Whether your child's key worker will be doing full days and if not, who will be responsible for your child when they are not there (only after settling in were we made aware the key worker only worked mornings) 2. How often the older children will be mixed in with the younger children - from our experience it was every afternoon (meaning a single big group with an age range of 2-5) 3. What accounts for an 'incident' the nursery will tell parents about - our child came home with multiple bruises (legs, neck and under chin) and a clear account of how it happened that afternoon - yet the nursery seemed completely unaware/unable to explain 4. What their complaint process is - after raising concerns about safeguarding, a company director sent an email (without ever talking to us) which made no meaningful attempt to address any of them and every attempt to make out we were the issue.
