View Full Details of Bloomsbury Street Day NurseryI am very happy with Bloomsbury Nursery and my son has a lovey experience when he attends the nursery. Not only are the staff are very supportive with my child's needs but also provide engaging, developing activities during the day. I would recommend the nursery to other families.
Bloomsbury Street Nursery is absolutely fantastic. My daughter is cared for by the wonderful team who know her inside out and cater to her every need. She has specific dietary needs and as well as catering for those with varied and delicious meals and snacks every day, they also create an exciting range of activities for her to complete every day. Her speech and motor skills are brilliantly supported and she loves every single day at nursery. The spaces are clean, tidy, and very well maintained and the little ones go out on regular trips. I could recommend Bloomsbury Street more highly and have taken both of my children there. Fantastic! The children are safe and well-cared for and the communication with the team on site as well as the finance team is easy and quick. There is nothing I would change!
My son loves going to Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery. He has established good, solid relationships with his friends and the staff at Bloomsbury. He has been nurtured and developed and we are enormously grateful for the care and diligence the team apply to him. We value not only the lovely setting but each member of the team who contributes meaningfully to the running of the nursery and to the ongoing care and development of my son. Thank you Bloomsbury. You're awesome!
We are very happy with the Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery, our daughter loves going there and they are helping her develop well as a little human. The staff are friendly, competent and overall, we'd have no hesitation recommending to others.
Our child is very happy and settled at Bloomsbury on the Beach. He is learning so much and is really encouraged and given opportunities to follow his interests. The staff team is amazing - very kind, caring and nurturing. And the managers are very open to feedback and suggestions. The facilities and resources are lovely and seem well looked after. The lack of outside space doesn't impact the time the children spend outside and our child really enjoys the variety of trips that are arranged on a daily basis. The food provided seems varied and healthy. Overall we are very happy with this nursery and the experiences it provides for our child.
My children have both loved attending nursery since they have been tiny and both skip in each morning, often without a backward glance! The care they receive is wonderful. Trips and activities they go on expose them to their local environment and new experiences as well as challenge them to show an awareness of their surroundings and generally engage them so that they are ready to be independent and exploratory learners when they move on. The food has been great, exposure to different types of food and cuisine and typically a menu sent through every term with an example of the types of things children will be eating; this hasn't happened recently. I would welcome this feature back. Management are swift to deal with any problems and take issues seriously. Staff are kind, caring and professional but turnover is frequent. My only slight irk is the access to outside space is minimal but it is a small city nursery and this is mitigated against by going on frequent trips.
My baby boy started end of March 2023 and I was so terrified of the fact he would be without me and how it would be. I am so happy I chose this nursery. My son loves it so much and I cannot thank enough all the girls who are spending time with our kids and all the activities they do with them. Big thank you from a happy mama.
After seeing a few nurseries in the area, we were very impressed by the Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery! It’s clean, airy, light with a minimalistic interior and very friendly, young staff. Our child had a bumpy start in the baby room and seemed to be sad every time at drop offs but his carer was very attentive and kept us updated on his day and even learnt a few words in his first language to get him settled better. It was also nice to know that our son has naps there, normally at home, it takes us ages! He now really loves his toddler room, he’s become more independent, confident around other children and is talking about his friends when home a lot! The nursery is truly creative, we notice that children do a lot of drawing, singing, dancing and more. The outdoor space could be bigger but children go on walks a lot.
My daughter joined the nursery in November 2023 and she has been thriving since. She was slightly nervous going in to start with and the staff kept my worries at bay by communicating with me throughout the days after I dropped her off. She now goes in with the staff members and waves bye bye to us with no problems. We get regular photo updates of activities the children are doing and have updates throughout the day of nappies, food intake and naps which allows you to see how they are getting on. Any changes that will impact our children are communicated well, such as key worker changes and the transitions are done over a period of time so the children get no surprises! I’ve enrolled my youngest to join the nursery this year too.
Since my son started at Bloomsbury Street Nursery his confidence has grown, and his social skills and overall development have really improved. The children thrive from all the different activities that are provided daily to keep them stimulated and entertained. I am really impressed by the individual attention my son receives. All staff are very professional, and extremely accommodating and their communication is excellent It is clear they love what they do.
My daughter started as a very shy, nervous girl, and over the year and a half, she’s been at the nursery has blossomed into a confident, sociable little girl. She learns new things constantly from the nursery, whether that be academics or learning from her surroundings from their trips out. There are thorough and frequent reviews of your child’s development which is very reassuring. There are updates on day-to-day activities so you can keep up to date on the activities the children are doing. The staff are an absolute credit to the setting; all staff members are brilliant with the children, and obviously, care a great deal for all of the children in their care and are also very supportive to parents.
My daughter has come on in leaps and bounds since joining Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery. She is even teaching me things such as new songs and words she has learnt, including sign language which is fantastic. The new beach nursery is beautiful, with lots of natural light and views of Brighton Beach which my daughter loves, especially the outings! The staff are brilliant and know the children so well, which I think is so important. Very good communication and most importantly, a fantastic bond with my daughter. She has grown so much confidence and knowledge and I feel so comfortable and happy seeing how much she has developed her personality and skills from the nursery. The app allows parents to see what activities they've been up to, and meals they've tried (which has given me ideas for cooking at home too) alongside their development.
The Bloomsbury Street Nursery team have been amazing in helping my 1-year-old settle in. I was apprehensive about my daughter going to nursery as she only did contact naps and did not have any dummies or security blankets, however (without leaving her to cry it out), she has adapted to having naps independently while there. Activities are varied such as sensory trays with shaving cream and ice cubes in one day, rice and pouring cups on another day, baby yoga, painting, books, going to the park etc. All are age-appropriate and with a lot of thought on their development. The food provided seems nutritious and varied, with snacks between meals. My daughter goes 2 days a week and doesn’t eat the same thing on those 2 days. Keeping us updated via their app with photos and how much was eaten, how long the nap was etc. Is a nice touch. My daughter gets excited when we get there in the morning so that says it all! I recommend them.
We started at Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery in September and our experience, so far, has been excellent. So much trust goes into your nursery of choice and they have not let us down. Great communication and genuine care always. Our daughter loves going in and has formed some wonderful relationships with the staff. Thank you Bloomsbury Street!
My child seems happy with her experience there and gets along well with the staff and other children. They do really cool activities and learn about other cultures. My child often comes home with a new set of skills, such as knowing complete songs in Makaton, writing words and names of other children, new songs and dances, knowledge of marine life etc. The staff seem to know each of the children well and nurture their skills, creativity or special needs and requirements. My only grievances are the lack of outdoor space and trouble getting down to the beach setting. While it's great they go on lots of trips to the beach, playground or garden square, it would be good just to have a little outdoor space so the kids could step out for fresh air without it having to be a whole trip.
The girls working at Bloomsbury Street Day Nursery are absolutely the kindest and most caring people. Our daughter was so nervous of anyone except her mums before she started nursery. But with their care and support, she is now a confident and happy little babe! She loves going into nursery. I couldn’t be more grateful to them.
Our son started at Bloomsbury Nursery at the end of September 2022 and he has been really happy there. He has engaged with all the great learning activities set up every day and has become much more independent. His speech also improved incredibly from day one at nursery. The staff are very caring and professional, always helpful. They have been amazing encouraging and supporting him through the potty training and with their help, we did it in only two weeks. They are like a family and I love seeing them all every morning. I fully recommend them.
Our boy started here at the end of September 2022, He settled in straight away and seems to be getting on really well, The staff are so lovely and always approachable & genuinely seem to care. Sometimes he comes home A little grubby but that just means he's had the best day, playing in the garden to making Bread. I feel my child gets the most out of every day and also after a day at nursery he without fail has the best night's sleep! He attends the cub's age group (Babies) They provide three meals a day alongside two snack times. They also provide everything else including milk, all I have to bring is his clothes. They also work alongside our routine we have at home as closely as they can. I 100% recommend this setting.
