Funky Owls Nursery Colliers Wood is a wonderful, unique nursery. My son attended Funky Owls from 10 months old until preschool and thrived there. It's a nurturing, caring environment, and while they don't have an outdoor space, they make up for it with daily trips to local parks, helping my son build his independence and strength through walking. They also take the children further afield on the tube and bus, visiting the local Theatre, Park and museums in town, such a brilliant offering! Their food options were always varied and healthy, they regularly listened to parents to obtain feedback and updated us daily through their app with pictures and write-ups of all the activities that day. They also provided development feedback each term along with inviting us parents into the nursery on special occasions like Mother's Day to spend time with our children in the setting. We were very sad to leave Funky Owls and still miss it, it is a lovely nursery setting.

The nursery is great and my child thoroughly enjoys attending. My child has developed great relationships with their teachers and this in turn has aided in their personal and social development. They have a wonderful range of activities that they do with the children on a daily basis and despite not having an outdoor space they make good use of the nearby parks and facilities such as the library. They also do trips for the older children farther afield which helps develop their independence and use of public transport.

At Funky Owls Nursery my one-year-old son has settled in well thanks to the very well-trained and loving staff. They are very patient and able to create a warm and nurturing environment. They do a variety of activities and children look really happy and engaged purposively. The premises are clean and safe. They do not allow mobiles inside and they do not have any plastic toys, furniture or equipment for the children to use. Everything they have is wooden which is really appreciated.

Funky Owls is absolutely brilliant. Our daughter started nursery there at 10 months and the staff were amazing at making both our daughter and us as comfortable as possible with the transition. They were very thoughtful in terms of settling techniques and what is most comforting for each child. Our daughter now loves nursery. She is very happy around all the staff and loves waving to them when she comes in in the morning. She enjoys all of their outdoor excursions and I'm always very impressed by the variety of trips they go on, which definitely makes up for the lack of outdoor space. The nursery has also really helped her development. Since being there, she has started walking and her speech has really improved, which is down to an engaged and interactive staff. I couldn't recommend the nursery and its team more highly.

Our experience with Funky Owls has been brilliant. The staff there are super friendly and genuinely care for the children. Our daughter really enjoys her time there and is in great spirits afterwards. The food is great and varied and always lets them taste new foods and cuisine. There is no outside space but they make up for this with daily outside trips - helping our daughter be a competent and confident walker. She loves the activities they put on and her learning and development have really been supported by the staff there.

Very impressed with Funky Owls. My son enjoys his time here and the staff have been knowledgeable and empathetic when helping him settle in. Despite no gardens, the children go out each day and explore the local area.

Funky Owls is a small nursery that brings out the best in each child. My daughter has been there for 3.5 years and my son has been there for 9 months. In that time, the staff consistently made the effort to get to know their personalities and preferences and have helped them both to develop in confidence and skills. The children go out on trips every day, which has helped with walking skills, stamina, and knowledge of the local area. The food is varied and nutritious and both of mine love it! One of the best things for me about the nursery is the way that they build a community with the parents - we have regular parties for main events, regular parent evenings to catch up on how they are doing, and parent reps for feedback and suggestions. The only downside is the staff turnover, we hate to see our favourite staff move on!

Our daughter settled in really well. The staff are friendly and caring. We love the daily updates and photos on the app. We feel our daughter has learned a lot since starting.

My son has been at Funky Owls since he was just 9 months old. I have seen him grow with the nursery every day especially now in the Willows room. The nursery is lovely warm and inviting. Every day there is a new activity on experience planned and he seems to be really thriving from the variety. Our regular catchups with the nursery workers are informative and reassuring. They are very good communicators and efficient.

My son started at Funky Owls when he was just 6 months old. From the beginning it was easy to settle, he was always happy to stay there and they took such good care of him. Fast forward and he is nearly 4 years old now, sadly leaving for his big school, but for sure he will miss so much the time he spent with his pals at Funky Owls. They supported me when I needed extra days, shared concerns and supported my boy to be the best he could be. I could not recommend more.

We are only in our 3rd week for Funky Owls but so far have been really impressed by the quality of care provided for our daughter. The staff have been brilliant and earned our trust in them quickly and the range of activities meals etc appears to be good. They don't have outdoor space but this seems to be made up with excursions on a daily basis.

My daughter started at Funky Owls a couple of months ago and we're really happy with it so far. She seems well taken care of and enjoys going there in the mornings which makes drop-off easy. We appreciate the daily updates and it's great to see her engaging in lots of activities throughout the day.

Our daughter has been attending Funky Owls for 2 months now, settling in was a smooth process and all the staff are, and have been lovely. We were invited to the cafe next door which was a lovely touch whilst our daughter had some time in her room without us. 2 months in and the smiles and excitement at drop off are so warming. She really gets excited to go to nursery. Our daughter has developed so much in the short time she's been attending Funky Owls and I'm excited to hear more songs which she's learnt before bed!

My little one is so happy going to Nursery and I can see from pick-up the other children feel the same way. From the reports we get and what we hear from the staff, the children have a range of activities every day. Feedback is really important to the management team and all concerns raised at parent meetings have been addressed. Super happy with this nursery and the staff are doing such a wonderful job. We have been with Funky Owls for a little over one year, since our daughter was 8 months old. We noticed how fast she developed from the very first week. I appreciate the constant feedback about her day and every time she displays a new behaviour or skill. We've had some disagreements at one point, but they were satisfactorily handled by the nursery's management, bringing our trust in their jobs to become even higher. Above all, the excitement our daughter shows at every drop-off gets us very happy and it soothes our hearts that she's being taken care well at Funky Owls.

Our little one has been attending Funky Owls since she turned 9 months old, she is now 2 and loves attending. She is always when she is dropped off. We have found all the staff from management to the nursery practitioners supportive, helpful, caring and friendly. Communication is very good. We are told how our little one's day has been and what she has been up to at every pick-up, followed by a daily report via an app. And management also send out weekly newsletters. The nursery provides nappies and all meals and they also have a chef on-site, so the quality of food is always good and there is a varied menu. The only downside is they don't have an on-site outside space but this is made up by taking the children out at least once a day for walks and trips. I definitely recommend Funky Owls Nursery.

From the very beginning, we have been thoroughly impressed with Funky Owls. The nursery provides us (the parents) with confidence that our child is truly nurtured. Over the years, we have seen our child grow up to be a beautiful individual and we attribute this to the amazing teachers at Funky Owls. the staff managing the nursery also provides a very good supporting role. Funky Owls feels like a family unit, where everyone truly cares about the children. Along with the creative activities, music and yoga classes. The children also venture out to experience the outdoors.

Our eldest started her Funky Owl journey when she was 1 year old. It always seems like a daunting task, starting nursery after your baby has been at home but it was such a smooth transition and I quickly saw just how positive this environment was for our daughter. The staff are nurturing and supportive, the communications are excellent and the little extras along the way are very special. At first, I was hesitant about the lack of outside space but then I realised it was actually a perk because it meant they took the kids out every day, sometimes twice a day on exciting trips like the local farm, the fire station and numerous parks (rather than just relying on a small piece of turf). The food is also excellent! When it came to enrolling our second, it was a no-brainer that it was going to be Funky Owl once again.

We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our twin boys. The team at Funky Owls were fantastic, and the boys loved going there. They had an outing every day and always came home tired out and ready for bed! The chef prepared some great meals for them - I’d often be jealous of the menu myself! The staff all seemed to love working there, and we were always happy with the boy's key workers. We’ve just signed up our one-week-old baby to start next year! Highly recommend.
