View Full Details of Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School - YateMy daughter has excelled in her learning and growth since joining Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School. Amazing staff feedback that is very detailed with all grounds covered. Love everything my daughter experiences here.
The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, always prioritising the well-being and development of the children. The curriculum is engaging and well-rounded, incorporating a mix of play-based learning and structured activities that keep the kids excited and curious. My child has shown so much progress in both social skills and cognitive development since starting here. The facilities are clean, safe, and equipped with a variety of resources that encourage exploration and creativity. My son especially loves the outdoor play area, which offers plenty of space for the children to run and play. Communication with parents is excellent, with regular updates on daily activities and developmental milestones. I appreciate how involved the staff is in fostering a nurturing environment.
My son has been at Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School - Yate since September 2024 and he has been so happy there. He is very happy to go in on the day he attends and seems to be getting a lot from socialising. The nursery uses an app to update parents with their child's day and it brings me joy every time I get a little snapshot of what he is up to. The staff who work in his room are so lovely and he seems to get along with them well. Overall, we really love this nursery and it's a fantastic fit for our son and family.
Our daughter has been at Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School - Yate for 3 days a week since April last year. I have nothing bad to say about the place, the staff are all super friendly and helpful, they really helped our daughter to settle in and now she really seems to enjoy her days at nursery. The facilities and activities they do with her have helped her development and she even naps better at home as a result of being at nursery. Overall, I'm really glad that we chose happy days over other nurseries in the area.
My son started his welcoming hours in July, these really benefited him and the staff have been amazing with him ever since. He took a while to settle which I expected as he was so used to just being with me. The managers and staff have done everything possible to help my son thrive and he continues to weekly. Its so nice seeing observation updates and pictures on the app. I'm really grateful that I can go to work and know my son is in safe hands. All the staff seem lovely and all acknowledge me even if they are from other rooms and not personally responsible for my son, I always receive a hand over when collecting my son of what hes been up to and who he's played with which helps me when we're at home talking about nursery. I wish they did half days but understand their reasons for not implementing them yet. I've now added another day in for my son as I know it will help him get ready for the transition for school.
Overall we really like the nursery and we are very pleased with it so far. All the staff and management know our child by name and interact with her, I feel welcomed every time we arrive and leave. I am comfortable asking questions to different staff members. We may be the lucky ones but we've only had one bump of the head in 6 months so we feel our daughter is safe and well looked after. Her skills are improving vastly which we know is a lot down to the skills she's learning being around other children and being taught day to day. I think communication could be improved a more frequent news letter would be nice and key dates like picture day being made aware of. Maybe a few more take homes like Christmas cards and holiday celebrations would be nice. We find the members of staff very good it feels like although our daughter has a key worker a number of staff are comfortable and she is very happy to be with them if the her key workers not around. Overall 9/10
I am so happy with my experience and my child's experience, at Happy Days Nursery school. I cannot rate them high enough. The staff are all really lovely and always go over and above in everything they do.
Happy Days Nursery in Yate is such an amazing nursery and I would love to recommend it to other parents. After viewing a few nurseries about 6 months ago I realised how superior happy days Yate was. The settling-in process is built around the child and makes them feel secure and happy about attending. They do not make you feel rushed to start. The practitioners are open and honest and send updates through the app. We also get photos often. My son has been with them for 6 months now and not only does he love it, but he is also learning new things every day.
My son took a while to settle but the team were amazing and tailored the settling-in process to his needs. This meant when he did officially start in September he had no issues which certainly made my first day back at work from Maternity leave so much easier. My son goes in every day happy, the communication and range of activities to suit their interests are wide and varied. We particularly like the access to outside space regardless of age. He's built a great relationship with his key worker but is also happy to go to other members of staff who know him just as well. My son has many allergies and the nursery is not phased in the slightest by this - sometimes it feels like they manage it far better than I do. Despite his allergies, he still has an amazingly varied diet with high-quality, home-cooked food. Choosing Happy Days Yate was the best decision ever!
My 1 year old attends Happy Days 3 days a week and the standard of care, quality of employee and facilities are of an exceptionally high standard. Other nurseries should be looking at Happy Days as the standard to aim for and certainly nothing in the area comes close to what they provide. For a nursery not long established they should all be incredibly proud of what they have achieved!
My baby just turned 1 and been going to nursery twice a week for the past 3 months. It comes easy for me to say that I am so incredibly glad we chose this nursery. The settling sessions were well structured allowing him to not be scared of being left. The staff are super loving and attentive to the children's needs, they always find instructive and innovative ways to keep them entertained and they never lack attention towards them. The meals are great and the babies are always well looked after. My baby is absolutely thriving ever since going to nursery so much so that we have decided to increase the nursery days to three per week in a few months. The teachers always encourage and support his interests and he always comes home with a new skill. His relationship with the teachers and his key person is impressive and they are very well bonded. My baby is always happy and excited to be at nursery and immediately waves bye bye with a big smile. I couldn't be any happier.
Our son joined Happy Days in June and he loves going in. He gets to experience so many different things to play with and the variety of food is great for weaning. All the staff are really great and communicative.
My little boy spent 8 months at this nursery and absolutely loved it. We moved him to another Happy Days site due to moving areas, but this was only a logistical decision - I could have left him there forever! The staff show nothing but love and compassion for the children in their care and we were kept well informed throughout his time at Happy Days Yate. He would run in every morning (after getting his bag and coat ready to go!) and not want to come home at the end of the day. The settling process was second to none and the staff were really flexible in what was best for both our needs. The management are supportive and are extremely approachable if you have any questions and the key people will go above and beyond to make sure you feel totally comfortable with their transition, settling process and beyond. Activities are set up each day and planned for around their interests and developmental needs - thank you to two and the whole team for everything!
Excellent nursery, all staff are very friendly, thoughtful and professional. Our daughter is thriving since she joined. Her previous nursery was good, but she was never this happy to go in. She is actually looking forward to going each day and we never worry about her needs nor being met. They are very helpful when my husband, who has a disability drops her off, often help with the door etc, very personal service.
I have been really impressed with this nursery to date. My 3-year-old has been attending for 4 months and is loving it. The settling period meant that it was a smooth transition for him. The staff and facilities are great and his development is going from strength to strength. I have no regrets about moving to this nursery.
We transitioned our son to this nursery from his old one and I was initially worried he would struggle to adjust. It was quite the opposite. He only wanted to go to the Yate nursery and would be upset when I took him to his old one. The staff are understanding and patient which I really appreciate as my son is very hyperactive and emotional. I don't worry that they will take care of him in a calm manner and when he is having a rough day, the call me to let me know. Or if he hurts himself, someone will often give me a call to let me know. He's always really happy to go to nursery, and there is so much messy play for him to get into. On the weekend when we are going pit, he will often grab his nursery bag and ask to go in.
Our sweet baby loves this nursery! It's a great place to be, we are as parents very happy and confident that she is there. The staff is very professional and kind. The place is brand new and peaceful. We can ask and share everything and get great support.
I am so glad we found Happy Days Yate. After my son had a terrible experience with a Childminder the staff here were exceptional helping us to settle him and support me. They went at his pace for settling in and have worked with us and him to make him into a confident little chap. They are kind, compassionate and fun; from management to the key workers they demonstrate the care they have for the kids with a warm and friendly welcome, a handover at the end of each day and share the excitement when our son hits developmental milestones. I would gladly recommend them to anyone who requires childcare for their little ones, I cannot fault them.
The staff are friendly and approachable. Good communication and correspondence in relation to how my children were through the day, what they struggled with and things they have enjoyed. My children’s key persons have always been good at handing over information.
